Wishing You All A Happy New Year

Well just a few short hours till 2006 comes to an end. What a year, moving into a new house, getting married, trip to Vegas, buying a new van, and the arrival of Eastynn. I'm hoping this will be our busiest year for years to come. Anyway just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Hope everyone has a fun and safe night. See you next year.

Some Pics Of New Christmas Clothes

Here are a couple of pictures of the girls new clothes. Fabian's Uncle Daniel gave the girls a gift card for Please Mum and I was able to but them matching outfits. Although the pants are different colors and the main part of the shirt is a different color. But to cute, I have to dress them a like while they can't voice there opinions.

Happy Birthday Daddy (Fabian)

And finally yesterday was Fabian's birthday. Again we spent most of the day at my parents. Brett came over for a post Christmas drink or maybe it was a pre New Years drink. Other than that the day at my parents was pretty uneventful except that I got another good night sleep.
My parents gave Fabian either a wallet or a belt for his birthday and the other was for Christmas. Jason gave him what he thought was an Under Armour hat but its actually a Hurley hat. The girls and I bought him an Under Armour shirt. And his parents gave him some cash.
We came home at about 4 and spent the rest of the evening with Fabian's mom made another fantastic supper. She made quite a few atually while she was here which was great for me I haven't had to cook since Eastynn's been born. She also made a fantastic birthday cake for Fabian.
That's all for today.

Christmas With The Mellor's And Chisholm's

So Christmas morning was later than I expected everyone slept in later than usually. Most happy about this was me cause since Eastynn was born I hadn't got more than 2 hours of sleep.
We all opened our presents and again the girls got spoiled by grandma and grandpa and uncle Jason.
We all ate breakfast and showered and headed up to the Chisholm Christmas. The first car ride that Eastynn did not scream the entire way. Both girls were asleep when we arrived. Taylor slept for 2 and a half to 3 hours. And Eastynn I think was up less than an hour the entire day. Both of the girls were so well behaved they made me look like a very good mom. LOL.
Well I think all 4 of us got spoiled at Velvet's place but once again the girls were spoiled rotten. I can't believe how much our van can hold. I think its just about as big as our house. Fabian made at least 6 trips to bring everything in the house.
Supper was fantastic so much food I couldn't even try it all. Didn't get a chance to play any games but Catch Phrase was played and sounded like a good time. Poker was played a little while later and Fabian won the first round and by the time we left Grandma Chisholm was in the lead.
Just about all the Chisholm family was there the only two that were missing were Cindy's boys Adam and Aaron, but we got a family picture done with everyone which ended up being 30 possibly more. It was the first time in years we had a lot of these people here like Jason, he hasn't made it home for Christmas in about 5 years so it was nice for my mom.
Velvet was a fantastic host this year. Thanks

Christmas With The Huber's

On Christmas Eve we celebrated Christmas with the Huber family at Daniel's and his girlfriend Linda's place. And boy did Taylor and Eastynn get spolied. They got so much stuff from everyone I can't even mention it all.
We had a wonderful supper that I'm sure Linda slaved over all day, it tasted that way anyway.
Taylor had a blast playing with her new toys, with Calvin and Brooklynn's dog and with Murtle the Turtle.
Again Eastynn and I didn't stay very long, but from what I hear Taylor had a blast with Grandma.
Just want to Thank Eva and Brian, Daniel and Linda, and Calvin and Brooklynn for a good Christmas. And like I said in the previous post the next visit should be a lot less stressful.
The pic of the family posted here is pretty bad but what can you do.

What A Crazy Week

I don't know what to say about the past week except that it was crazy. Fabian's parents came to Medicine Hat on Wednesday and brought a few baby gifts for Eastynn. Thank you to all who sent gifts down to the Hat they are greatly appreciated. My dad also had shoulder surgery on Wednesday.
Fabian's parents normally stay at Daniels, Fabian's uncle who just lives on the other side of the building, but they had company so Fabian's parents stayed at our place and we stayed at my parents place in case my mom or dad needed help because of my dad's surgery.
Then Fabian's brother Calvin and his girlfriend Brooklynn came down on Friday, I think, by that time Daniels company had left so they stayed with them. They left on Christmas day.
My brother Jason came on Sunday and he left yesterday.
Everyone wanted to spend time with the girls which made it really hard to spread the time evenly, which I couldn't accomplish. Eastynn likes to cluster feed, she will feed a few times in a couple of hours then sleep, sleep, sleep. And boy does she hate the car. Which makes it horrible to go anywhere. She will cry the second you put her in the car and stop the second you take her out, most times sometimes she continues to cry.
So I must apologize to the Huber's for the lack of time they got to spend with Eastynn and I. Next time I'm sure will be more relaxed and not so much to do and people to see. I feel very bad.

How Could I Forget

We have some other good news that I forgot about. Since Eastynn was born I have not had a cigarette. And since I'm not sure if its been since Saturday or Sunday since Fabian has had a cigarette. I figure we have probably saved at the least $30 and at the most $100. Wow didn't realize till now how much we actually spent on smokes. Anyway we did not only for the girls but for us to we are going to be a healthy family.

My Girls

Just wanted to post some pictures of the girls together. I decided to let Taylor hold the baby and she finally agreed. So we had to get some pictures to cute.

She's Finally Here

Eastynn raced into the world on Friday December 15th at 6:47 pm. Like I said I went in to be induced at 7:30. I was sent home and told to come back when contractions were 5-7 minutes apart. I started having contractions at about 2 they weren't very painful and were 10 minutes apart. So Fabian and I watched a movie and by the last 5 minutes of the movie we decided to leave for the hospital that was at about 5:30 pm. We got to the hospital and was hooked up to the monitors for about 15 minutes before the nurse checked me and told me I was 7 cm we moved into the labor and delivery. I had some pretty intense contractions then they called the doctor. He came in and broke my water and maybe 2 pushes after that she was here.
She weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and was 19 inches long
I couldn't believe I was at the hospital for only about an hour before she was born.
Don't get me wrong it was fast but still quite painful I had a second degree tear which required stitches but I'd rather it be fast and painful then just painful.
We just got out of the hospital today cause I had a chest infection. That they thought was going to turn onto pneumonia one of the nurses also mentioned bronchitis so not sure what it is/was.

Here's The Low Down On The Induction

This morning we went in to be induced. Yesterday I was not dilated or effaced and this morning the doctor said I was a little effaced, I think.
They hooked me up to some monitors and to our surprise there were a few contractions. But they still induced me and that was a little before 8 am. The doctor said it usually takes 6-8 hours to go into active labor. The hooked me back up to some monitors. To see how the gel was working I had one decent contraction in that one hour. But it is starting to work now my contractions are about 10-15 minutes apart but very bearable. So we go back either when I'm in labor. Or we go back tomorrow afternoon some time so they can do another non stress test. That's where they hook you up to the monitors to see the baby's fetal movement and heartbeat. And apparently and unfortunately if this induction doesn't work we have to wait till Monday to be induced again. I'm not sure what measures they will go to because they will not let me go past Monday, but hopefully we won't have to find out.

Today Is The Big Day Hopefully

Well we are up and about, Fabian is just having a shower and getting ready, he takes longer than me to get ready. I've got all Taylor stuff packed for Grandma's house. And I'm getting ready to have a shower. Then we will head off to the hospital so hopefully this will all take and by this time tonight or shortly there after Eastynn will be here. Just wanted to send you guys hopefully my last post as mom of one.

Finally Their Going To Induce Me

We just got back from the doctors and they are finally going to induce me after 41 weeks and 2 days. All the nurses and the doctor were all quite confused on why I haven't been induced yet. But it was due to the doctor getting called away in a hurry last week, she had to run and said we'd discuss it at this doctors appointment. I don't think she realized how far overdue that would make me.
This will be in detail just to warn you all. The doctor did an internal exam today and said that my cervix was still closed. So what's going to happen tomorrow is.
1. We will get up at probably 6:00 am and get ready and take Taylor to my mom's place.
2. We have to be at the hospital to be admitted at 7:20.
3. Go to Labor and Delivery.
4. They will monitor me for an hour.
5. They are going to put some gel in me to thin out my cervix.
6. Then they will make me walk around for awhile.
7. Then they will monitor me for another hour.
8. Then they will send me home till contractions start if contractions haven't started by then.
9. Hopefully by the end of the day we will have a new baby.
Now if all this doesn't take they are going to try it again on Saturday.
So definitely by Sunday Eastynn will be here. I think they will pull out all stops between now and Sunday. Cause once you hit a certain stage in pregnancy you amniotic fluid starts to decrease which can be harmful to the baby.
I hope I explained good enough but if you have any question give us a call.

Overdue Day 9

Today is day 9. I do have a doctors appointment at 2:20 pm and we are going to apparently discuss induction. So everyone be patient and I will let everyone know as soon as possible hopefully within the next 24 hours we will have a baby. Most doctors appointments if you get there on time you can wait for the doctor anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. So hopefully we will know for sure by supper. I'm hoping they just send me right down stairs to the labor and delivery room but who knows. Talk to you soon.

Overdue day 8

Well today is day 8 and still no baby. I thought she'd come today but nope. I was in a lot of pain last night. Must be the baby getting into position. We do have a doctors appointment tomorrow so I will have news for everyone tomorrow. The appointment is in the late afternoon. So there maybe 2 posts tomorrow or one late one. But that's really all I got for now.

Tuesday, December 12, 2006

Overdue Day 7

Well another day and still no baby. My lower back is a little sore so maybe she'll come soon or maybe I slept funny who knows and at this point I don't care any more. She'll be here by Friday if they induce me. That's all for today.

Monday, December 11, 2006

Overdue Day 6

Ok this is getting a little silly now. Today I'm 6 days overdue. I totally thought it would be today cause I thought I was having mild contractions yesterday. Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done by the doctors till after Thursday. And the bad thing is this baby is getting bigger on a daily basis, I'm getting scared.
Fabian's doctor didn't end up draining the fluid on his ankle instead he scheduled a surgery for in February. That's going to be difficult to have the two little ones and a sore foot but he'll manage.
That's all till tomorrow.

Just A Quick Note

Well December 5th has come and gone and still no baby. Although this evening around 6 - 7 pm I was feeling like she was going to for sure make her arrival but the pain only lasted a couple hours it was pretty intense pain, not quite as bad as a real contraction but there was a lot of pain when I would stand or sit but once I was standing or sitting I was good.
The dart tournament for Fabian went well. He ended up 5th in his section. Then they went to a knock out round and he ended up finishing third over all. I'm very proud of him today.
Tomorrow Fabian also has a doctor's appointment for his foot. They are going to drain some fluid and possibly give him a shot of cortisone.
That's all for now hopefully I won't be posting tomorrow and that means the baby is coming but don't worry unless there is no post by 4 pm.

Overdue Day 5

Well today is day 5, I'm posting a bit early today. Fabian is already gone to play darts. Taylor is going to have a bath then we'll have some lunch, and go over to grandma's house. Then I get to go watch Fabian play darts for awhile. Then were going to my parents for supper. I suppose Eastynn could potentially still come today but as of now nothing.
that's all for now.

Overdue day 4

Well you guessed it still no baby. Which I guess if fine I'm getting use to her waiting. She's like her daddy when he gets ready in the morning they both take there time. I'm hoping she doesn't come now for at least the next 30 hours or so. Fabian has a dart tournament tomorrow and its geared towards new players so he has a very good chance at winning it. As well all the money raised goes towards the women's shelter here, a good cause right before Christmas.
So hopefully she will be ready to come out near the end of the dart tournament or afterwards. Monday would be Eastynn's great uncle shane's birthday so that would be an ok day for her to come. I just hope its not Wednesday the doctor on that day I don't like and its the 13th. I don't want Eastynn to have her birthday on a Friday the 13th.
Will post again tomorrow.

Friday, December 08, 2006

Overdue Day 3

Still no baby. I guessed she would be born on the 8th I guess I was wrong. Not much else to say. Just remember mom and dad Huber I put in one of the post a couple of days ago that I will post before 4pm. I know you called all curious and worried yesterday but we had the doctors appointment that's why I said after 4 and just in case I forget but no worries you will be the first ones we call. We can't and won't forget about you.

Overdue Day 2

Well another day has come and gone and still no baby Eastynn. Getting frustrated more and more each day. Today we had a doctors appointment and our appointment was at 1:10pm and the doctor didn't show till about 2pm and the doctor came in and left right quick she had to go delivery a baby (lucky girl). But she had said the baby has dropped but every time I go they say something that makes me think any day now and here I am still pregnant. The heartbeat was good and my blood pressure was good. So my next appointment is next Thursday and they said we'd discuss induction then. Although the nurse said the latest I can go is the 15th so I will probably be at the hospital a lot next week. So I will keep you all updated on any progress or lack there of.

Wednesday, December 06, 2006

Overdue Day 1

Today is my first day of being overdue and since it 12:30 I don't think she will be making an arrival for great grandma Chisholm's birthday. I do have a doctors appointment tomorrow so we will find out if they are going to choose to induce or if they will wait another week. I hope not. I'm going to ask to be induce as early as Monday because that would be Uncle Shane's birthday. Hopefully she will come before that though. I will keep you all updated. Posts will most likely all be before 4 pm till the day I go in.

And The Due Date Will Come An Go

So today is Eastynn's due date it is about 2:15pm. So weather I go into labor or not today I don't think Eastynn will make it before midnight. Tomorrow is the day that everyone thinks Eastynn will come. It is great grandma's birthday, so she wants the baby born on her birthday, my mom wants it born tomorrow, and Fabian's guess is it will be tomorrow.
Keep your fingers crossed I just hope any time the sooner the better in my opinion.

Monday, December 04, 2006

Tomorrow is SUPPOSE to be the big day

Tomorrow is suppose to be the big day and I'm starting to feel like she'll never come. I have been so ready for Eastynn's arrival for such a long time, I'm starting to get frustrated. Although I know I should be spending these last few baby free days with Taylor it is actually quite emotional. Every time I hold her or get some one on one time I'm always thinking this could be the last time we get to do this. And it breaks my heart that my baby isn't going to be my baby any more. Although I know every women I have talked to says my oldest is still my baby they never stop. And I'm very scared about the pain of child birth. I'm just hoping I get something for the pain this time. With Taylor I progressed so quickly that there was really no time for pain medication. Although I wouldn't be all that upset to have another quick delivery. Eastynn is suppose to be born today or tomorrow. Today according to the weeks and months and tomorrow according to the ultrasound. If she waits till the 6th that is great grandma Chisholm's birthday, which would be very nice as well, considering I was named after her. But they say the latest I could go would be the 15th which is next Friday but I think I would ask to be induced on Monday cause that is Uncle Shane's birthday. And I just thank god she doesn't have a chance to be born on her daddy's birthday I don't think Fabian or myself could wait till then (boxing day for those who don't know).
But we will keep everyone updated maybe a quick post before we head off to the hospital.
Keep your fingers crossed and us in your prayers in the mean time. Thanks

Last Doctor's Visit Hopefully

Today we had another and hopefully my last doctors visit. Last week I hadn't gained any weight and this week I gained only 0.4 lbs. Which the doctor seemed a little concerned about but she didn't go into much detail. My blood pressure was good, the baby's heart rate was good. The baby is still moving around really good. Good enough to just about bring me to my knees on a daily basis. Weather the baby's jabbing me in the ribs or hanging out on my groin muscles (which hurts the most). She also asked me cause the baby's head was so low if I was having contractions, which makes me think it won't be much longer. I was told to come back in a week but I'm hoping I don't have to.
On another note I'd like to wish Uncle Colin a Happy 50th Birthday I know it on December 1st but I don't think I'll post again tomorrow. Maybe I can give Uncle Colind a great niece or nephew. I have been told its a girl but I have my doubts.

Taylor's Bad Day

Sorry I haven't had a post for awhile. I don't know if we've been busy or lazy but its one of the two. On the weekend I played darts, on Saturday I played the final day of zones and ended up coming in first for the day and in my zone as well. On Sunday I played darts in the Kelly Allibone Memorial. Good tournament Kelly was about my age and died 3 years ago of a heart problem. All the money from the tournament goes to Kelly's kids so its a good thing although I spent a lot of money but I guess I don't need to feel bad as it goes to a good cause.
As for Taylor and her bad day on Saturday when I got home from darts she thought it would be a good day to get sick. She must have thrown up at least a dozen times from about 9pm to 2am. It was a long night for Fabian as I can't get down to the floor long enough to clean it up. And she also threw up on him 4 times. Although the next morning she was a lot better. But now we think she is getting a cold which I had anticipated , because Fabian and I had both had it. And I just assumed she'd get sick just in time for Eastynn's arrival. Taylor has been very sensitive and her nose is a little runny. I hope I'm wrong though.

Two More Weeks

Today I had another doctors appointment. Everything looks good. I told doctor Clugston that I have been having severe pain in my groin, he said the baby's head is really low down sitting on my ligament in my groin. He also said that the baby could come at any time now. Which makes me very happy.
Next dr appointment is on Thursday of next week and hopefully that will be the last one actually hopefully this was our last one.

Chris Hatter Memorial Dart Tournament

Well this weekend two years ago is when Fabian and I started dating. So we celebrate it ever year at the Chris Hatter. Its nice because it involves two of my greatest passions my husband and darts.
Friday was the blind draw and neither of us made it out of our section. I definitely should have I had a good partner who I've played with before and that I'm comfortable playing with. Unfortunately Fabian got drawn with someone of a low caliber not something you want in one of you first big tournaments.
Saturday I played ladies singles in the morning and came in second in my section and got knocked out the first round to a Medicine Hat player which is fine by me cause I think I played well. At least I played as well as can be expected considering I'm very close to my due date. Ladies Doubles I played with Becky we played well together, we get better and better all the time.
Fabian played with, as I like to call him, Tiny Tim in the men's doubles. And they didn't make there section which is ok because it is a tough accomplishment just to make your section when it comes to the men's. In the afternoon he played men's singles. And got out of his section and as I just stated that can be a very hard accomplishment. But his first draw was Gerry Convery, who I believe is number one in Canada if not number 2. Gerry goes to England a lot to play. So Fabian got beat by the best and Gerry came out with the overall win. I was very proud of how well he played.
I'm just heading out to play mixed doubles. I'll let you all know how I did later.

37 Week Doctors Appointment

Well I should technically only have 3 more visits after today. We went to the doctor today the wait was quite awhile usually with Doctor Prince its maybe a 10 minute wait today it was at least 20 minutes. But once he came the visit went very well. He said that she has a very healthy heartbeat of 155 beats per minute. She is not to big and not to small she is going to be a very average size baby at the rate she is growing now. I also got a form where I suppose to keep track of fetal movements. They say you should have 10 in two hours which makes me laugh cause she probably could take care of that within 5 minutes. I do have a cold but the doctor said I could take some cough drops and use vicks vapo rub or a vicks inhaler.
That's all the news for this visit. My next visit is on Wednesday.

Christmas Shopping

This is absolutely crazy. It November 13 and we have got over half of our Christmas shopping done already. We have got both dads gifts Jason's gift and both the girls. It was really hard to buy for Eastynn considering she isn't even here yet. And we got Taylor some pretty cool gifts that I had to leave at my mom's I don't trust myself not to give them to her before Christmas. It will be nice to get the rest done I can't wait. We are hoping to have all the Christmas shopping done before Eastynn's arrival. And it looking good.
On another note we are already for Eastynn to show up the bags are packed and good to go. I was ready for her to come but I would like her to hold off till at least Nov 26 now. Cause this weekend coming up is the Chris Hatter Memorial Tournament and also our anniversary we started dating two years ago on the Chris Hatter weekend so we don't actually know the date but we use this weekend to celebrate. The following weekend of the 25 I have to play darts one more time to determine my seed for provincial's. If I come in first that day and Tracey comes in second there will be a play off, so as it stands right now me and Tracey are fighting to get the top seed out of Medicine Hat.
Finally Taylor, what can you say about that one. She has got the most unique personality. She makes me laugh everyday she also frustrates me everyday. She is getting so smart I can't believe what she says and does some days and I just sit back and try and figure out where she learns some of the things she does. We got her some new winter boots and some new shoes both Dora of course. They have lights on the bottom and she loves that. That's all I have for the time being.

Busy Week Appointments And Darts

Today we had another doctors appointment they are weekly now. Everything is very good with the baby. Although I wish she'd hurry up and make an entrance into the world, I know its only a month more but I'm at the end of my rope with being pregnant.
I honestly don't get those women who love being pregnant sure its got a few perks but I could go with out them. I like the fact that people will always give me a chair but that doesn't make up for the back pain. The kicking is really neat, a vouple of times a day and if the baby stays off the bladder and out of the ribs. Anyway enough about that.
It is techinically 29 days till Eastynn is to arrive and I can't wait. My back is so sore and the darts that I have been playing lately have been affected by my back aches and I have the Chris Hatter Memorial coming up on the 17, 18, an 19th of this month. Which is also the weekend me and Fabian started dating 2 years ago, so it will be a pretty special weekend, my mom took the weekend off so we could have a good weekend without kids for the most part anyway. And the following weekend I'm suppose to play zones, zones takes 3 days you have to play 2 of the three days or you don't qualify to play for provincials. I played both days this weekend just in case something is to happen before the 25th. On the Saturday I finished third, my back was really sore but my wonderful husband gave me a great massage on Saturday night and I felt a lot better on Sunday, on Sunday I finsihed first.
On Wednesday Fabian made a trip up to Edmonton for some training for work. So Taylor and I were on our own from Wednesday till Friday. It was a pretty lonely 3 days. But Taylor was a good girl and I was still able to communicate with Fabian through text. And I did manage to get some good and needed sleep having the bed to myself and all. Fabian also had an appointment for his ankle today and they are going to see what they can do on Decemeber 11th. They may drain any fluid or inject it with something I would imagine it would be cortisone.
And finally Taylor not much new with her she needs a haircut and we may do that tomorrow. We are going to try and potty train before Eastynn's arrival I asked the doctor today and he said it would probably be a good idea to start over again now instead of later, although I need some motivation and energy for that one. And it seems like she is getting more of a sense of humor. She cracks us up everyday. For example she's been doing this thing where she sticks out her but and will back into me and giggle hysterically.
Also I'd like to send my condolences out to Stephanie Williams, her boyfriend Ross Becker, her daughter Ravyn, Her brother Jonathan, and his girlfriend Jennifer. I'm so sorry about the loss of you mother Stephanie. We love you.

Halloween

Today we started getting ready for Halloween at 2:00. We first headed over to Grandma Mellor's where we discovered the Taylor's Halloween costume maybe a little to small and the weather wouldn't allow for that today, it was cold. So we headed to Wal-Mart and bought a bigger costume. The ones in the picture is the one that is to small, although we bought her the same one just in a different color. Hopefully someone will send us a picture of the other one.
Then we started the trick or treating. We went to Auntie Heather's and had a nice little visit there. Then we headed to Great Grandma Chisholm's and we missed her she wasn't home but that didn't stop us from getting candy. Then headed over to Uncle Kirby's another miss we actually passed Auntie Cindy on the road, we did miss the candy ther unfortunately. Next we headed over to Auntie Velvet's finally someone was home, we had a short little visit before we headed off to Jeremy's and Steph's place and again no one was home. So next we head of to Shane and Pam's they were not home but Maddy was there to give us some candy. To finish off the trick or treating with the family we stopped at Colin and Chris' and got a hand full of candy from them. It was quite a full day of visiting family in and out of the van all day. We didn't have a chance to make it to Uncle Daniel's before Taylor got grouchy. After all that we went to Scotty and Tracey's and they were not home but that's ok cause Taylor fell asleep before we got there. So she had a nap and then we went trick or treating to 2 of our neighbor's houses the Rhodas' and the Campbells. And that was Taylor's fun filled day and she got quite the little haul for a 2 year old.

Eastynn's Halloween Doctors Appointment

We had a doctors appointment today. After this one they are now every week which means its not to long till she comes now. 35 days till my due date to be exact.
And although the health link nurse thought she would be born within a week Dr. Prince seems to think differently. He didn't seem to think she'd be early. Oh well it sucks but I think I can manage another 35 days. I guess it could potentially be 45 days. I have also been having some dizzy spells something I experienced with taylor but they are very scary as well. The doctor didn't seem to concerened about that either because my blood pressure was good. Eastynn's heart beat was strong. So everything seems to be in check. So till next week or till something exciting happens with Eastynn thats all for her now. Will post again tonight or tomorrow about Taylor's Halloween going to be an exciting one.

Thursday, October 26, 2006

May not be long now

I think Eastynn will be arriving sooner than anticpated. I had some changes today and phoned health link. And they figure she should be here within a week. She would be considered premature but as long as she's healthy I don't care when she comes. If nothing happens before tuesday I'll definately let you all know what the doctor has to say then.

Poor Girl

Taylor has been having a really rough time lately. Since her two top molars started poking through, she has been really irratable. Fabian and I were not feeling well last week so were are wondering if she has a sore tummy. So once again I'm going to hold off the potty training till she feels a little better. We will just worry about her teeth and sleep, she hasn't been sleeping much lately either.

Friday, October 20, 2006

What a day.

Its 11:15 and its been a very long day already. I have been sick for the last 3 days and Taylor is really testing me today. Poor me poor girl I don't know who's got it worse. Taylor seems to be getting into everything lately, spilling everything and its really hard for me to keep my composure. Today she tried to poop on the potty instead it was all over the house AGAIN. I know I should have probably caught her in the act but I was laying down cause I had a headache like I've never had before. It was different than most of my headaches and even different then my migraines, but just as painful. So it took me a hour and a half to clean her up and the carpets. I've been trying to keep my cool because the poor girl is teething but its really hard. She has been so whiney lately I just don't know what to do. But I do love the fact that she likes to be cuddled at bed time I just wish she was like that in the morning. Anyway enough of me complaing I must go on with the rest of this horrible day.

Eastynn's 7 and half month check up

We went to our check up today. It went good. I told him I was in a lot of pain cause she was stuck under my ribs he kind of blew it off until he measured my stomach and realized that she was stretched right out. And anyone who knows me knows I'm pretty short I don't have a whole lot of room between my ribs and hip bones. So it is very painful. On a positive note shes hurting my ribs so bad my back isn't hurting as bad. Everything was good at my doctors apponintment. Blood pressure was good as was the baby's heart beat. Till next time.

Weekend Full Of Fun With The Grandparents

Grandma and Grandpa Huber came to Medicine Hat this weekend, but didn't arrive till late on Friday evening so we didn't get to see them on Friday. Taylor and Fabian got to spend all of Saturday with them while I played darts till about 4:30, where I got first place playing with Anne Marie. When I got back to Uncle Daniels Taylor wasn't playing shy at all which was wonderful for all of us. Grandma and Grandpa were happy with that, as were Fabian and I because we got to go out for an evening and Grandma and Grandpa Huber got to babysit. We had a great supper that Daniels girlfriend Linda made, we had chicken cordon bleu and a lot of extras yummy before Fabian and I went out. Fabian and I went to a comedian who was so funny. We didn't stay out long only till 11:45 or so. My back was really sore from playing darts during the day I couldn't handle standing or sitting anymore. Sunday morning we went for brunch at Uncle Daniels his new girlfriend, Linda is a great cook. We had a big brunch bacon, eggs, pancakes, toast, tomatoes and juice. Not long after brunch Grandma and Grandpa Huber decided to hit the road and go back home. It was a great visit but not very long it would of been nice if they could've stayed a little longer.
So Sunday afternoon we went to the pet store where Taylor had so much fun till it was time to leave then we had a full blown tantrum. Its a nice place to take her she really enjoys it but leaving is really hard. So then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Mellors for the rest of the day. We had a nice visit with them as well. Grandma tried to convince me to go shopping with her I quickly pawned that off on to Fabian. So Fabian, Taylor and Grandma went shopping. Grandma came home with a really nice winter jacket and pants for Taylor.
that's about all for now.
Today the potty training will begin again and tomorrow we have another doctors appointment so there will be more to post tomorrow.

Sick and Tired

Man am I sick and tired of being pregnant. I wish Eastynn would just come already. I have been feeling really ill lately so bad today I sent Taylor over to my moms so I could get some rest cause I never got sleep last night. She has been moving so much and it really is starting to hurt. She is always up in my ribs which hurts. The countdown is on but the sooner the better. I think I have been having braxton hicks contractions and today maybe even just contractions. Anyway will post more about Eastynn on Tuesday if nothing happens before then.

The Cast Came Off

Today Taylor's cast finally came off, Thank God. That thing was starting to stink. She was really really scared when they took it off, she really cried hard. But it didn't take long for her to get back to her regular self. I thought she would be favoring her right arm still but she was bending and using her left one shortly after the cast came off. Her arm didn't even look to bad I thought there would be more dead skin and stuff but it looks good. A couple of her fingers look like they had been rubbed raw but it didn't seem to bother her. And the people at the hospital were amazing with her which was great. Maybe now we can get back to a normal sleep schedule. When she had the cast on she couldn't suck her thumb so that might have been why sleep was so hard to come by with the broken arm. She did have a nap today something that was very rare over the last 3 weeks. Well will keep you all updated on her over the next few days.

Long Weekend

On Thursday we went to Calgary and picked up Uncle Jason, we had a short but nice visit. He brought Taylor a puppet of a puppy and she really likes it, it barks to different songs like old McDonald and a couple others. Very cool little toy.

On Friday we went to Edmonton for a dart tournament. We stayed with Uncle Calvin and Brooklyn (which hopefully soon will be auntie Brooklynn). They have a new little puppy so cute. Taylor loved her until she would go after her food or her pant legs.

Friday night I played in a blind draw and didn't do very well. Saturday I played ladies doubles and I finished joint fifth with Wenda Carter. Saturday afternoon Brett and I played mixed doubles and did really good in our section unfortunately we came against a really tough team when it came to the knock out round. Sunday I played ladies singles I finished joint ninth over all and got knocked out by a lady who is number one in BC so not to bad in my mind. I shot very well, I beat a really amazing dart player in my section. I shot a 19 dart game which is very good in ladies darts. Sunday afternoon I played mixed triple our team was Brett, Pat Robinson and myself, a pretty decent team if I do say so myself. Although we had a very tough section and didn't make it to the knock out round, which may have been a blessing cause we got to get on the road at 7:00pm for the trip back to the Hat.

Taylor and Fabian seemed as if they really enjoyed there visit with Calvin and Brooklynn in Edmonton unfortunately due to darts I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time with them.

Taylor really traveled well this weekend. We had a little bit of whining but she actually didn't sleep all that much. From Medicine Hat to Calgary she didn't sleep at all. She slept a little from Calgary to Edmonton. And on the way home from Edmonton she didn't fall asleep until after Brooks. So the little bit of whining was ok. I remember before we had the DVD player she would cry from Suffield to Calgary.

All in all it was a very good weekend and I'm sure it will take all 3 of us a little while to get back on a normal schedule although mine is better I have been able to get at least 2 more hours sleep a night. We just have to work on Fabian and Taylor now.

Big Day Tomorrow

Its going to be a big day for the Mellor's tomorrow after a long five years maybe even more Jason is moving back to Calgary. I know I can't wait and anyone who knows the Mellor's has got to know my mom is elated. So we are all traveling up to Calgary tomorrow. Mom, dad, Fabian, Taylor, and myself. Mom and dad will be coming home on Saturday. We will be going up to Edmonton for a dart tournament and to visit with Fabian's brother Calvin and his girlfriend Brooklynn. That's all for now. Hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving.

7 Month Check Up

Today we had our 7 month check up. I love going to the doctor because it means we are one month closer to meeting baby Eastynn. And the doctors appointments will now be every two weeks instead of once a month.
Today I seen Doctor Prince one of the best baby doctors in Southern Alberta, from what I hear. So that makes me feel good.
He said that the baby is in the right position. Her heart beat is 150 bmp. My blood pressure was excellent. And we are ok to make a trip to Edmonton this weekend just as long as we make frequent stops and know of all emergency stops.

The VTech

Taylor got a new toy yesterday the Vtech Smile. It is an educational video gaming system, she also got a Blues Clues game with it. The system is aimed at 3+ age group but she can grow into it this way. They also have a Vtech Smile Baby gaming system which is aimed at 9 months - 36 months but from the reviews I read on the web it is not very good once the child has reached about 18 months. The Blues Clues game has one game in it that she loves its hide and seek. One of the characters will pop out and you have to find them its so funny to hear her high pitched screech saying "there she is" makes me laugh every time.
We decided to get it for her not only for the educational purpose but it wear her out and I think it may work. We still aren't getting much sleep for one whole week she has not fallen asleep before midnight. Were crossing our fingers that she'll be asleep within the next 15 minutes.
that's all for today.

Sleep not much

Well the sleep in the Huber household is completely messed up due to the broken bone in Taylor's case, due to over time in Fabian's case, and pregnancy in my case.

Fabian use to get up at 6:30 and go to bed at 1:00. Lately he gets up at 6:30 and he's asleep by 11:00/11:30.

Taylor use to get up at 7:30 have a nap from 12:30-3:00 and in bed by 8:30/9:00. Now she's up any where between 8:00-10:00 she has a nap at whatever time she wants yesterday it was 3:30 today it was 7:00 naps for about 2 hours. Then she's up till 1:30/2:00.

Me was getting up at 9:00. That gave Taylor time to eat breakfast with dad and watch Blue's Clues and Dora from 8:00-9:00. I'd usually lay on the couch and watch Taylor play and watch the tree house network with her, some times I'd talk on the phone. I'd try and nap when she did but usually never worked I'd fall asleep right before Taylor would wake up. Then I'd go to bed at the same time as Fabian but not usually fall asleep till 2:00. Now I just try and sleep any time I can. I can usually catch little cat naps all day long. Our house is completely baby proofed so Taylor can't get into to much trouble. But between Taylor's broken arm and my sciatica the sleep is not much at all.

It would be nice if we could all get back on to a routine again.

That Didn't Last Long

Today I decided to take Taylor out even though we are potty training and she's got the fractured arm. We went to blooming gals and the to Super Store as I was looking for clothes for Taylor I heard a thump and turned around to see what she pulled off the shelf, well it was nothing she pulled off her cast. So Taylor and I got to spend the whole afternoon in the ER again. Not on my list of fun things to do.

This time they put the cast all the way up past the elbow. It's weird cause the doctor that seen her on Saturday said that she really didn't need a cast, so I thought we could get away with maybe not putting one on today. But the doctor we had today said that she absolutely had to get one put back on. I don't get why doctors contradict each other so often.

I took Taylor to my parents and she fell asleep on the way there. Which is nice because her sleep schedule is completely out of wack. Yesterday she slept in, then fell asleep at 7:00pm and woke up at 10:30pm then stayed up till 2:30am. Not going to push anything on her sleep. When she woke up from her nap today she cried for at least an hour and any of you who know Taylor know that's not like her. She also didn't use the potty at all but like I said I'm not going to push her right now. I can only imagine how uncomfortable she must be. I'll just make her life as easy as possible. That's all for now. I will post some pictures of the new cast soon.

Some New Pics Of Taylor

Here are some new pictures of Taylor with the cast on. Today was weird she had a couple of accidents peeing in her panties but she did poop on the potty. She didn't have a nap today either and just fell asleep at 7:00 so tonight should prove interesting.

Bad Day For Taylor Worse For Daddy

Today being Saturday I got to go and play darts. I got a message from Fabian that Taylor had fallen off this stupid step stool that we have for her so she can wash her hands and brush her teeth. She loves this steep stool it has to go everywhere with her if she can convince me or daddy to let her have it. She usually doesn't get away with it with me, but she's a daddies girl. Daddy feels absolutely horrible about the whole thing I just keep reassuring him it could have happened to anyone. Anyway I had a gut feeling he should take her to the hospital. And they gave her any x-ray, it wasn't broken but it did have a kink in the bone. The doctor did say it was fractured but not broken (beats me). So she didn't need a cast unless we wanted to prevent her from potentially bumping it and hurting it even more. She was in a lot of pain and as soon as the cast went on it seemed to not hurt her any more. And she loved getting it put on because it looks like a sock which we pretend are puppets. Which she loves. And its bright pink. It only has to be on fro 2 weeks, so that's a good thing. We'll get some pictures and post later.

Potty Training Week 2 Done

Well its been two long weeks she still has the odd accident and doesn't poop much any more but for the most part we have it mastered. We still put diapers on if we go out more than a half hour but that is rare. Actually the only time we have done that was today. For good reason which will be in the next post. So we don't really have to bug her to sit on the potty any more just suggest it. Cause if she doesn't want to go she gets mad if we make her sit. Thats all for the potty training.

Potty Training Week 1 Days 4 & 5

Two more good days of potty training again no accidents. Taylor does try and help by emptying the potty and sometimes spills it but other than that she has been very successful. Today she did have her first poop on the potty which is good because I was beginning to think she was constipated. She has been very grumpy and not wanting to go on the potty much any more but still no accidents so we are trying not to pressure her.
On another note I went to the doctor today who confirmed I do in fact have sciatica. But I found a new natural drug which is safe to use according to the doctor and is good for so many things. Anyone who has any ailments of any sort should check out emu oil on the net. You can use it for pretty much anything that would bother a person.

Potty Training Week 1 Day 3

Today was great. Taylor didn't pee or poop on the floor once. She did pee in the potty and spilt it on the floor but nonetheless made it to the potty. We went and bought some big girl underwear the absorbent kind. She doesn't want to seem to sleep with a diaper so we will try tomorrow, she's never wet when she gets up from a nap anyway. We also got some pj's that she won't be able to take off at bed time. Thats all for now.

Potty Training Week 1 Day 2

Today was a much better day for potty training. Besides our holy crap episode. Taylor only had 2 other accidents and 2 success' so she's just about even now. It doesn't seem as bad as it was last week. She goes every half hour instead of every 15 or 20 minutes a lot less accidents. And she will sit on the potty when she thinks she has to go too. Since the holy crap episode we moved the baby video monitor so now instead of only being able to see her bed we can see a lot more still not the whole room but enough to catch her before the room would ever get that bad again. Getting better so the posts may be every other day, although I like posting every day.

Holy Crap

Today we put Taylor down for her afternoon nap. One that she didn't need and boy did we pay for it. We put a diaper on her and layed her down. About a half hour later Fabian went to check on her and there was poop every where. She took her diaper off. It was on the crib, on the back of her bed (honestly don't know how that much got on the bed alone), it was on the floor, it was on the back of the door, the closet door and covered Taylor head to toe. Fabian took her to the bathroom to clean her up and I was going to clean the bedroom but for some reason I kept gagging (the first since she time I've done that since she was born). So Fabian took over the cleaning and I took over cleaning Taylor it took two baths one to clean the poop off of her and one to rinse her off. Fabian cleaned and cleaned but it all looks good now. I thought some of you might get a laugh out of our little misfortune. But hopefully not Tamara cause you still have that to look forward too. By the way "The SpotBot" is an amazing little tool to clean up accidents such as this. *little hint for Tamara*
Well will more than like have one more post about the potty training today so that's all for now.

Potty Training Week One Day One

Well I didn't spend a whole lot of time with Taylor today. She had a few accidents yesterday but she did sit on the potty apparently not every 20 minutes or half hour but whenever daddy would think of it. But she did go sit on it twice by herself and went pee once. So things are looking up when it comes to potty training sleep on the other hand what happened to that I'm not sleeping Taylors not sleeping very frustrating. Well will have another post when she goes to bed for the night.

Week one potty training done

Today was good we only had one accident and she went one the potty once. Its a lot better with the little potty she will sit for a whole episode of Blues Clue's or Dora. Anyway it was good till dad came home. Fabian went to work yesterday then went to Calgary so when he got home at 6 it was a little overwhelming for Taylor. She had two accidents back to back but that's ok we know that its cause she's excited. But we have come to far now there is no turning back. And its the weekend again so Fabians turn to take over the potty for the weekend I'm about to go out and spend some time with adults after being stuck in the house with Taylor for the past two days. And tomorrow I get more adult time when we play in the first dart tourney of the season. That's all for tonight.
PS congrats to cousin Paul on the new baby.

Countdown To Uncle Jay's Homecoming

Well its 20 days and counting now. We are all very excited about this especially grandma (Sharon). I'm excited too. It'll be nice to talk to him on a more regular basis and not have to try and figure out what time it is in England and if he's awake or at work or whatever. Can't wait. Just one thing I'm worried about he thinks his job is to teach Taylor at least one swear word he worked very hard on that when he was home last. But I think I could beat him up so no worries.

potty training day 6

I never thought this process would be as slow as it is I knew it would be hard work but never thought this hard. I want to give up but I have still been consistent and I haven't lost my temper with her either. I don't know if this will work but I brought out one of the small potty's and closed the bedroom doors so she only has access to the living room and the play room make it easier to find pee if she does have an accident. If this proves to be successful I will put the other potty in our bedroom where she watches most of her cartoons. This way hopefully if she has to go in between the timed intervals maybe she will. I HOPE SHE WILL. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed hopefully this next week will be a little easier with access to more than one potty.
Her sleeping is way out of whack to I have no idea why so many changes its hard to pin point what it may be. Fabian has been working so much I think she misses her one on one time with him. Or maybe its cause we changed her room around so she has time to get use to it before Eastynn comes. Or it maybe the potty training I have no idea. It maybe she's just out growing her naps. Who knows. She is going to stay up till she falls asleep tonight I'm not putting her to bed. Hopefully that way she'll sleep in and we can skip the afternoon nap and put her down at a normal time tomorrow night. Hopefully that will fix that.

Potty Training Day 5

Well today potty training kind of sucked for me. I took her every 20 - 25 minutes but always missed the accidents but I could get her to stay on the potty by letting her watch her bubble machine we had some points where she was on the potty for 10 minutes. Anyway as soon as dad came home and put her on the potty SUCCESS she went pee so now she knows that if she pees she gets a sucker. Anyway today was good. Although I'm having a tough time sticking with it I want to give up so bad but we have persistent for a week no going back now. And tomorrow I'm on my own Fabian is going out of town probably will be on Friday too cause he won't be back till late I'm thinking. That's all for now.

Potty Day 4

Today the potty training was same as the previous days but had a few surprises. She didn't mind sitting on the potty as long as mommy took her, I think cause I get a little more excited can you imagine mommy being more excited than daddy. Just kidding. I was very surprised when I was reading her her potty books and pointed at the potty and asked her what it was and she said "potty" I was so happy about that. She also had an accident but as it was happening she said "ohoh" so she knows. Although it feels as if we are making absolutely no progress we I think we have made a lot from her perspective.
Tonight was the start of the dart season. We started of well. We got 9 out of 13 points. I had 2 wins and a loss. Fabian had 1 win 2 loss' and dad was lucky and had 3 wins. We also won the team game. But the sciatica kicked in bad tonight. No more keeping score for me.
that's all for now.

Babies Room

We got the girls room set up. I'm very happy with the crib it looks great with the mobile grandma and grandpa Huber bought for her, and good with the bedding set that grandma and grandpa Mellor used their HBC points for. Thanks Grandma's and Grandpa's.

Potty Training Day 3

Well it's day 3 and still no success, but on a good note we have strictly been following the number one rule of parenting when it comes to this issue. Be consistent. Every 15 - 20 minutes we make a trip to the potty, she gets one smartie for going and sitting on the potty and one for sitting on the potty for 2 full minutes. She'll be excited once she actually goes potty and realizes the reward is a sucker (lollipop) probably not the best for her teeth but I willing to try anything. Will keep you posted on the progress. That's it for Taylor.

Lamb Dilemma

We had a bit of a dilemma today. Anyone who knows Taylor knows that she usually has her lamb. It is a baby gund lamb that she got as a baby gift from who I can't remember, but its her favorite. She likes it so much that we bought her 4 more off the internet. One stays at grandma and grandpa Mellor's, one stays at grandma and grandpa Huber's, and one stays at Scott and Shauna's, this way if we forget it she's got one every where we go. We had two for our house but when we went to Calgary last month one was left behind, ohoh. Today she went outside and dropped one in some muddy water right before our nap. Daddy took it away to wash it and then the fit began. She cried so hard she passed out, something she hasn't done in so long that I thought she had out grown it. So we threw it in the washer and dryer but by this time we are already an hour past nap time, it was horrible probably the worst tantrum I have seen out of her. When she finally got her lamb and had a nap we decided we'd go on a hunt through Medicine Hat and find something as similar to her lamb as possible. And just as we we're leaving the mall we checked at Sears and there they were I swear they had a light shining on them. We found the exact ones at sears. We bought her 2 and I think we will make it a monthly investment to go and buy them so we will never have to go through that again.
On a positive note we had one little success on the potty today. Tomorrow its all on me, this weekend it was all Fabian doing the potty training so we will see how it goes.

Pregnancy pains

I really don't remember being in this much pain with Taylor. With Eastynn I have had morning sickness which is gone thank God. Tiredness which comes and goes. Headaches that also come and go, I loved being pregnant with Taylor I had hardly any headaches less than when I wasn't pregnant. And most recently what health link believes is sciatica, which is a nerve that goes from your back all the way down your leg in a very sharp pain. Lucky me. On Tuesday I go and get a shot for rh incompatibility. Just in case the baby has a different blood type than me it will protect us both. But on a happier not only 87 more days.

Let The Potty Training Begin

Today we, well Fabian actually, began potty training Taylor. We had no success but we will try again tomorrow. We have to start working hard with her on this because we definitely don't want her potty training her after the baby is born and we don't want to do it to close to the birth cause we don't want her taking steps backwards either. So it will probably be a hard couple of weeks or months. So wish us luck.

6 month check up

We had our sixth month check up today. It went great. I go to the maternity clinic so your suppose to get a different doctor every time you go and we ended up getting the same doctor till today. Not that the previous doctor was bad but it was nice to see a new doctor today. He was great which is weird cause he was my least favorite doctor while I was pregnant with Taylor. He teased Fabian a lot about this one being a girl, he told him with his family history, like him having a brother, and his dad having more brothers than sisters, our chances of having a girl are only 1 in 3. And we getting a girl. So we may try once more for a boy depending on how labor and delivery go. The last doctor I seen said Eastynn was going to be a big girl and this doctor put a lot of fears to rest and said she's most definitely not. The docs measure your tummy and apparently after 20 weeks you should measure the same in cm as you are in weeks (ex 20 weeks = 20 cm). With my other doctor I measured 26 cm at 22 weeks, today I measured 25 cm at 27 weeks. The doc said today sometimes doctors get confused with the top of the uterus and stomach muscles. He also told me to get as much rest as possible, which is nice cause he put some pressure on Fabian to let me get out of the house and have fun or let me have some naps. Not like I don't already. Good visit today.

Uncle Jay Countdown

31 more days till Uncle Jay is back.

Eastynn

Tomorrow is our six months check up. I'm scared there going to tell me she's the size of a small elephant. Just kidding. She is getting so big it is getting uncomfortable for me. Like this morning I sat down and there was so much pressure on my ribs she was laying right underneath them. And lately I have noticed if I'm sitting on the couch leaning to my left or right she is right under my ribs causing a lot of discomfort. And other times she is so far down it just hurts my bladder and what not I don't remember this with Taylor at all. And Eastynn kicks way harder then Taylor, I'm six months today and last night in the bath she was kicking so hard the water was rippling all the way to the end of the tub. Crazy kid. Well I'll let you know how the appointment goes tomorrow.

Feeling Better

Taylor is finally feeling better, we just finishes the last of her medicine this afternoon. Its kind of funny how you make your kids take there medicine till its all gone but I know for myself I don't ever do that. She is eating like a pig again last night she ate mashed potatoes one very healthy scoop, three large pieces of roast beef and half a yorkshire pudding. Not to mention she just about beat grandpa doing it. CRAZY. She is still whining an awful lot but I think her sleeping schedule still needs a little more time to get back on track.
that's all about Taylor.

Quote For My Girls To Live By

I watched an amazing movie last night called "Akeelha And The Bee." There was a great quote that I'd love my girls to live by, I hope that I can live by it as well.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we our powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give people permission to do the same."
This quote was the one used in the movie.

This quote here was written by a lady named Marianne Williamson but more well know by Nelson Mandela from his Inauguration Speech.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate; our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light--not our darkness--that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the universe. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. You were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within you. It's not just in some of us--it's in all of us, and as we let it shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same."

I don't know but it seems as this quote could be applied by anyone anywhere during any part of there life.

Feeling Better

Its seems as if Taylor is feeling better. She still isn't sleeping that great but she's eating a whole lot better and she's drinking a whole lot better too. She seems to have a lot more energy again. Although that may have something to do with mom to it looks as though the tired stage has finally passed so I'm able to pay a whole lot more attention to her. We are getting up at a reasonable hour and having breakfast and a snack then some lunch and a nap. After her nap we have another snack and supper then a bath then its bed time. Its so nice to have a routine again. And extremely nice to have energy finally after six months it maybe the nesting time. Either or lots is getting done.
Well its bath time I think I'm going to go join her cause my back is a little sore from cleaning.
Till next time

So Much For Teething

What I thought was teething turns out to be a lot worse than teething. Taylor has strep throat. I was talking to my mom about the symptoms which I thought were teething and she thought it maybe strep. So I gave her a bath and phoned health link and they told us to take her to the ER as soon as possible cause they thought she maybe getting dehydrated. She wasn't dehydrated but they confirmed that she had a very severe case of strep throat. She did really well considering she should have probably been in bed at 7:30 and its now 10:00. She shed a lot of tears which in turn made me tear up a little but she was very good, considering how tired she is and how much pain she must be in. Hopefully this won't last long and hopefully she WON'T start teething till this is all cleared up. Will keep everyone posted.

More Teeth

Well I think we maybe on our last two teeth with Taylor. She is drooling more than I have ever seen before and she is grumpy. She is not drinking or eating much either, when she does take a drink she will whine or cry. Today she fell asleep on the couch at 10:30 and her nap is normally at 12:30. The sleep has been disturbed a little but not near as much as the eating and drinking. So hopefully we can get over this soon. And won't have to worry about teeth till Eastynn gets her first teeth. That's it about Taylor for now.

Getting Ready For Eastynn

This week we bought a lot of stuff to prepare for Eastynn's arrival. We bought some more bottles and nipples. We also bought the bedding we got the Ocean Wonders fisher price bedding to match everything else we have, the swing (which Auntie Heather and Auntie Velvet bought), the portable swing (which Eva, Fabian's mom bought), the mobile (which Eva bought too) and the high chair. Its not very girlie but neither am I and it would be wrong if I went with flowers or something femine wouldn't be me. My mom also bought the crib mattress. We have the crib too. And today Fabian went and got the car seat so besides some clothes we are ready. Now we just have to wait for Eastynn and honestly if I new she'd be healthy I'd be happy with any time but I think we'll have to wait till our due date which is exactly 100 days away from today.

He will actually get to see Eastynn as soon as she is born and be a part of Taylor's life now. CAN"T WAIT I"M SO EXCITED.

Eastynn's first cool pic

I have sent this to most of you but thought I should post for those of you who have not seen this. To cute she's a show off already. Just letting us know that everything is good. This is also about 5 weeks old. Enjoy

taylors hair cut photos

Here are the photos I promised about Taylor's haircut sorry it took so long. They are not very good the batteries on the camera were dying when I was taking the pictures. The shirt she is wearing in the photo was sent all the way from England from Auntie Glad. I have no idea what it means but I guess my dad and everyone from England knows exactly what it means. Thanks Glad.

Taylor's 4th Hair Cut

Today after my appointment we took Taylor for yet another hair cut. I swear this kids hair grows faster than anyone's I know. She has had 4 haircuts now since the wedding. She sits unbelievingly well for a 2 year old. This time she got a lot cut off not just the usual off the bangs and a little off the sides. It looks a lot different but oh so cute I will have to take some pictures in the next couple days and post them.
Till next time.

5 Month Check Up

Today we had our 5 month check up for Eastynn. I have a bunch of test this month, blood work o see if I have gestation diabetes, just normal blood work, I also have to get a shot in case Eastynn and I are not the same blood types RH or something. I gained a whole 4kg not pounds but kg. Yikes that's frightening. The doctor also tried to listen to the baby's heart beat on a Doppler on which the batteries were dying, he found this quite funny. As he was telling me that the baby's heart beat was funny he was laughing I knew it was the machine so it wasn't really all that funny to me. I swear the doctor thinks he's a comedian some times and he's actually very very dull. When he measured my stomach and went to write it on my chart he informed me it was going to be a big baby. You can only imagine my enthusiasm on that one. Then the comedian in him came out and he said its not like its going to be a 12 pounder. I'm still pretty scared about how big she's going to be. I'm actually considering having a c-section if its over 9 lbs.
that's all about Eastynn

Taylor's Birthday

Oh my oh my What a day. We had Taylor's birthday party on Aug 3. It was so much fun. With great food, great family and friends (although some very important people couldn't make it), good presents and all and all good times. Taylor was quite the little actress opening presents and just chucking the gifts to get to the bottom of the bag and then quickly moving on to the next present and doing the same thing. She got lots of clothes and toys some toys that make to much noise. Although the giver of that gift has a child younger than our little Taylor and you know what they say about pay back. LOL. She got bubble blower from my cousin Alex and his fiance Lindsay, which was a hit not only with Taylor but most of the adults as well. We ate the cake after we opened present which I believe now was a mistake because she could have cared less about the Dora The Explorer Ice Cream Cake we got from Dairy Queen, she just wanted to chase bubbles and play with all of her new toys. Live and learn I guess I'll know better for next year (which will come far to quickly I'm sure.)
Till next time

First Post August 5,2006

Its kind of hard to start a blog about your children when one is already two years old and the other one hasn't even arrived. But better late than never I guess. I will do my best to let people know about Taylor and what she is doing or has done in the last little while. I will also try and let everyone know how Eastynn is treating me and how often she is moving. I will also let you know how things are going with Fabian and me.
I have a friend, Tamara, who is doing this with her son and I look forward to her new posts and she made me realize I should have been doing this a long time ago. Especially since I have family from all over.
Well lets get this started my girl Taylor had her second birthday on the second it was a lot of fun. Although I found it very emotional, last year I was so excited for her first birthday I didn't reflect on the impact she has had on my life this year I was watching the clock and reminiscing on the events that had happened two years earlier. It was really weird to see how much she has changed my life. I'm such a better and happier person now.
Now to Eastynn. We have hit the 5 month mark yesterday. From day to day it goes really slow but when I look how far we have come it has been flying by. She is starting to kick a lot at night but stops as soon as Fabian tries to feel her. Hopefully she'll stop that soon I'd like for him to be able to feel that as much as possible. I have been having severe back aches lately, so bad I have been sleeping on the floor which helps but sucks cause its so hard on the rest of my body. My legs have also been achy the last couple days but I think that is from chasing Taylor around on her birthday and not use to moving around and running up and down stairs as much as I did that night.
that's all for now.
