Weaning

So we are trying to wean Eastynn from her nursing, yes she is a year and still nursing. Saved us a ton of money though. I think Taylor cost $30 every week and a half when she was on a bottle.
She has 2 ounces before each feed and then in 6 days we will bump it up to 2 ounces and so on till she is up to 6 oz. I can't wait and we have a tournament in Lethbridge on Jan 5th so she needs to be done by then. That is going to be a tough my first night away from my baby. I'm sure I have only been out of town one other time since Taylor has been born. She has had sleep overs before but not while I have been out of town.
We are hoping all goes well with the weaning. I'm very excited to be done with this for awhile anyway. This will be our second time trying to wean her. Fabian has to do all the feeds cause I think she gets mad when I give her milk and I don't blame her.

Oops

I was just looking at the calender and realized I'm going to have one heck of a week coming up. Saturday I have a ladies doubles tournament. Sunday we are having a family birthday for Eastynn at 2pm at my mom's and then one for the friends at our house. Just the regular things after that till Wednesday and Taylor has a Christmas party at 11:00. Thursday Eastynn has needles at 10:30 and Taylor has another Christmas party at 11:00. I don't know what I was thinking there but I think Fabian and I will figure it out. I will drop him off and he can use my parents car and I'll go to the needles and hopefully just make it. Friday night is our super league doubles and then I guess it all good after that.

Taylor's Missed Concert

Taylor was suppose to have a Christmas concert today. Her class was going to the Good Samaritan's Lodge to sing some Christmas songs for the older folks but were told not to come if they have a cough or runny nose. Taylor hasn't even complained about this cold but I was going to give her till noon and if she didn't cough I was going to let her go. She didn't even make it 8:30 so she didn't go. But she still has her Christmas party at school so that will be fun and I will take photos and video while there. I'm so excited more so than for mine when I was a kid. Those aren't until Dec 19 and 20.

Congratulations Uncle Calvin and Auntie Brooklynn

FINALLY We are going to have a new addition to the Huber family. Nope we aren't pregnant Uncle Calvin finally has proposed to Brooklynn. And I couldn't be more happy to finally have a sister-in-law not that I haven't always thought of her as my lil' sister but now it going to be official. I can't wait to hear the whole story once they get back from there little vacation.
Congratulations guys we love you both and are so happy for you.

Taylor's First Parent/Teacher Conference

We had Taylor's first parent teacher conference yesterday which went very well in my opinion. The teachers say she is a really quite student which is easy to see I was a very shy child (at school anyway) and I can only imagine that Fabian was as well. They said that she gets along with all of the other children which made me very happy too. When we were talking about how quite she is they said she always says mushy mushy when she is called upon. I was confused cause I had heard her say that before but thought she was talking gibberish but here that means hi in Japanese. (obviously I can't write it as the Japanese because I don't know how to write or speak Japanese so if I'm wrong forgive me). Its pretty cool that she is retaining a lot of the stuff from school anyway. I asked about her speech to see if she was ok, they really couldn't tell me because she is so shy. They did however give us a sheet to fill out and have her professionally assessed which I'm happy they are doing because personally I think she needs a little help and I don't know how to help her. They did say she probably won't even talk so they will assess her as being severe which they said is OK because she would get some one on one at school to help her with her speech and she would also have some of her schooling paid for which is kind of a nice bonus. I think if Taylor could communicate better to Fabian and I there would probably be a lot less arguing going on, I think she must get frustrated sometimes that we don't know what she wants.
Also Taylor has been going to bed a lot better which has also resulted in a lot less fighting cause she is not so tired. Although little Miss Eastynn is trying to wean herself down to one nap a day which is frustrating with her but soon it will all even out and then we will be hit with another issue. Always stuff to look forward to.

It is to cute. Eastynn has been giving kisses lately. Its also a little gross she has her mouth wide open and they are very slobbery. But I'll take anyway I can get them.

She also will be walking here pretty soon. She has taken as many as 4 steps at one time so I don't think it will be long. Anyway she's getting a little cranky now so I better go.

Christmas Decorating Is Coming To A Finish

My mom brought it to my attention that I have not posted since we have done the majority of our Christmas decorating done.
Now we have the window done, the window whole thingy from our kitchen to our living room. On the shelf going frm the kitchen we have a little sleigh and reindeer which both light up now (the reindeer didn't work the first night). We also have a little fiber optic snowman. We have our Christmas tree which looks good but we need a tree topper. We have our stockings hung. We got a little tree that you can put family photos its awesome. We also have a Santa table cloth and 4 Santa place mats. Just a few more outside lights to hang up and then we are done.
I also got the majority of the presents wrapped it going to be nice to have all the stresses of Christmas gone in the month of December so we can just enjoy Christmas and get into the Christmas spirit.

OH MY GOODNESS

I don't know what is going on at the Huber household.
Eastynn has been crying all morning I have no idea what is wrong. She is clean and dry, she has nursed, she has eaten, she has had some tylenol just in case she isn't feeling good but oh my its a little much even after 15 minutes never mind for 5 hours. She will be going down for a nap pretty quick.
And Taylor is not wanting to go to school any more and that is really bad cause she loves school. She told my mom she has no friends and she has mentioned not wanting to go a few times but she just says she doesn't like school but hasn't given me a reason. So we are thinking she is just to tired but we are going to try and get her on a strict bed time routine like Eastynn's.
Hopefully they will both go to bed at 8 and they will both wake up at 7. And both will go down for a nap at 12 and Taylor will stay down till 1:30 and Eastynn till 3. I know it is wishful thinking but thats all I can do right now. The temper tantrums are getting to be a little much now.

Yay Jay

So a few months ago I seen a commercial on tv for a reality hair show. And from watching it last season I knew immediately I had to tell Jason to apply for it. He followed all the rules sent in amazing essay about himself and an awesome video too. Yesterday I got a phone call saying Thank-you from my big brother and I was confused thinking what did I do now. He said Thank-you for making me do that I got a call back so now I get to watch my big bro on tv. I'm not sure when the show starts but I will keep every one updated on this.

The Little One

I guess Eastynn has got the flu now. Last night I was wrapping presents cause I couldn't sleep and finally at 3:30 I decided I needed to go to sleep so I was laying there and here Eastynn cough. It wasn't her usual cough so I decided to go check on her , she had gotten sick all over her crib so I got her changed and layed her with Fabian while I changed her sheets. Then I put her back to sleep. Fabian said she didn't eat much this morning and when I got her up from her morning nap she had gotten sick again. She ate her lunch pretty good but didn't even make it out of her high chair before she got sick again. She is in a very good mood today though considering.

Christmas Stuff

So far we have got the Christmas lights up in our window, in the window whole thingy from out kitchen to our living room, we have a little reindeer made of wood his nose lights up and it has a sign that says "Santa Stops Here.", we also have a little light up sleigh and reindeer (although the reindeer isn't working), and a little thing that says "the stockings were hung" and it has 6 little hooks to obviously hang your stockings up. We have yet to hang our outside lights we still need some extension cords and I have 2 mini Christmas trees still left to go up then I'm done decorating.
Christmas shopping is nearly done I think we have maybe 2 or 3 more left to buy.
Then all that is left is wrapping all the gifts.

Sick Sick Sick

I think everyone in the house has something wrong with them at the moment.
I got a phone call at about 8:30 from Taylor's school to come pick her up that she had gotten sick. Which is kind of a big deal considering she has only maybe got sick twice before. She has also been sick over a half a dozen times today.
Eastynn didn't have a nap until 11:00 and slept till almost 3:00. I'm not sure if thats bad or not, considering she didn't have her morning nap. Although she has had a really bad runny nose.
Fabian has been saying he is coming down with something for a few days, but nothing has come of that yet.
And me I went 3 days with out a headache and today I have a bad headache.
Well hopefully everyone will be back to normal soon.

First Movie and First Kisses

I took Taylor to her first movie tonight. I don't think she liked the movie as much as everything that went along with it. Like the popcorn, the pop, the kinder surprise, the dark room, the big screen. She didn't like sitting the entire time, but oh well she really had fun.
And Eastynn started giving kisses. If you pucker up she will move toward your face and give you a big kiss with an open mouth and a lot of drool its very cute.

My Baby Soldier Girl

Good Stuff

Today I went Christmas shopping and finally found a sippy cup that Eastynn likes. She won't drink out of a bottle or a sippy cup and has a tough time with just a cup. So it was a HUGE deal. We'll be buying a few more this weekend I'm sure. She is loving her new cup its to cute if she is sitting on the floor and the cup is sitting in front of her she will just lean down not using her hands and pick it up with her mouth. Or if the cup is laying on its side she will crawl over top of it and try and put it in her mouth, its very very funny.
Taylor well she is just a whole lot of fun these days she is saying the funniest things lately. She look at me while laying in bed put her arm around me and whisper "I Lub You." too cute. Or she'll look at me and say "your the best." LOL. Tonight my mom bought her some PJ's and she put them on and said"ahh there perpect." (perfect). She is so darn cute sometimes.

Yikes

So I got a look into the little ones mouth today and she has 4 teeth coming in 3 on the top and 1 on the bottom. I think they have all come through. But it has been a pretty rough evening.

Some More Teeth

Eastynn has a total of 4 teeth now. They are growing in a weird order I don't know if I should be worried or not but as of now I'm not. She has her two bottom teeth. Her top front tooth. The one next to wear her top left front tooth should be. It looks pretty cute though. Just thought I should update everyone on that situation.

Anyway the longer this day goes on I think the more teeth she is getting. I think I see a total of 6 now. I think 4 teeth on the top 2 have broken through the gums and the other 2 should be out by the end of the week. And then the 2 bottom teeth

Halloween

Halloween well to get out trick or treating there was a few tears and a lot of stress for mommy. The tears weren't from mommy the girls didn't understand why they needed to listen but once we got all dressed the fun began.
First stop was Scott and Shauna's. Then we went to the shop to see Auntie Heather and Auntie Pam. After that the real rounds began.

That was enough for Eastynn and then Taylor and dad went around while Eastynn and I hung out waiting for trick or treaters there wasn't many at all I think I had 3 and Fabian had a couple. We handed out handfuls of chocolate bars. Which I think everyone handed out Eastynn got no chips and Taylor only got 2 bags of chips. Not great for mommy she doesn't like chocolate. Oh well will keep the weight off I guess.
Taylor really enjoyed herself especially since just about everyone had a dog that she got to play with for a couple minutes.

Taylor's Halloween Party

Today Taylor had her Halloween party at play school. It wasn't what I expected but I think she enjoyed it. We went to her school and they all were sitting in a circle. Once all the parents and grandparents came in they all came running and we did some edible crafts and then ate them and finally came home. It was cute all the kids in there costumes.

Little Update

Today Eastynn went only had one nap and on Friday she only had one nap. So I think she maybe slowly weaning herself off the 2 naps a day. Which isn't very good but I guess we will deal with it as it comes.

Also now every time a commercial comes on TV with a toy Taylor asks if Santa can bring her that toy for Christmas. LOL. I asked her what she was going to ask Santa for Christmas and she said a "puter" (computer) which I thought was a pretty big wish for a 3 year old. She wants a puter like daddy's.

Doctors Appointment Follow Up

So today I went to the doctor for the follow up on my x-rays and they were all normal. Which is fantastic. He is going to send me to a plastic surgeon to get the ganglion removed. I'm pretty nervous. I HATE HOSPITALS, they make me very nervous unless I'm on the maternity ward. I'll let you all know when that is all set up.

Finally

It hasn't been for very long but Fabian and I finally have our room back to ourselves. I don't expect it to be every night but so far so good. We ended up having eastynn in our bed for about a half hour the first night other than that it has been great. Now we just need to work on Taylor's schedule which was what I was debating about to put them in the same room and then work on her schedule or work on her schedule and then put them in the same room. Well we figured that out anyone. I'm so happy about that.

Taylor's First Field Trip

Taylor went on her first field trip yesterday. I must say she didn't enjoy the destination very much but she did enjoy the bus ride there. I honestly think they could have just drove around the city for awhile and the kids would have been happy. I guess it didn't help that the guy giving the tour at the armouries was talking to the kids as if they were adults. I didn't get a lot of it never mind the kids.

How Could I Forget

I totally forgot we had a huge breakthrough the other night at swimming. After the swimming was done I had Eastynn in the shower to keep her warm while Fabian got all of her stuff together. Taylor wanted to get in the shower as well quite a feat considering she was terrified of the shower for so long. A few months back she had got sun screen in her eyes and I had to physically hold her while I sprayed water in her eyes and she has been traumatized ever since so Friday was awesome.

Family Swimming Again

Doctors Appointment

My wrist has been bothering me since Saturday, so my mom convinced me to go to the doctors. I was totally going to go to the doctor but was having a hard time with only one vehicle. Anywho the doctor figures I have a ganglion cyst, but sent me for x-rays as well which I will go get the results on Monday or Tuesday. That appointment will tell us if there are any bone abnormalities. I was totally freaked out because that is initially what they thought was wrong with Fabian. Although I can't see that happening twice in the same family. They said there is not much I can do besides ice it since I'm nursing Eastynn so hopefully that will help. We will see what happens.

Getting Excited

Taylor is certainly getting excited for Christmas ALREADY. Which in turn is making me excited. Last year we went Christmas shopping really early and that was because of Eastynn being born so close to Christmas but I think we will do it again this year. I have thought of 3 big presents for Taylor hopefully Santa will bring one of the gifts.
I'm so excited to go shopping and when I figure out what Eastynn should get that will be awesome.
I don't even think Taylor is excited about Halloween. But that should be fun too.

Dora-O-Lantern

So we ended up carving the pumpkin it took a lot longer than I anticipated but it was worth it. It looks pretty darn good. I did all of the carving while Fabian, Taylor, and I gutted it. It also took a few attempts to get the actual stencil on. OH well it looks good. I'm proud of myself my first attempt by myself I use to do it years ago with my parents but that was a long time ago.

Family Day

Today we had a family fun day, with the Collins.We went swimming today for a couple hours it was a lot of fun. We have not went swimming since Eastynn was only a couple months old. She really loved it she was in this flotation device but she could touch the bottom of the pool so it was kind of like a old style walker. (you know the ones you can't buy any more). We invited Kennedy too which was nice she played hard with all the kids and may have got a new babysitting job out of the deal.
And tonight we are going to carve a pumpkin hopefully it turns out good I will take some pictures of the whole thing it should be F-U-N.

Taylor's New Schedule

Well now that we got Eastynn on a schedule it is time to work on one for Taylor. I have been noticing that Taylor and I, and Taylor and Fabian are butting heads a lot and I'm thinking it maybe due to her lack of a schedule so it begins we will be making her have a 1-2 hour nap. She has been napping for an hour today and I tried to wake her but with no luck. So maybe once she gets into a routine we can get her napping for one hour and go to bed early HAHA that would be awesome. There is a website that says;
"Your 3 year old needs 10-12 hours of sleep each day. Many 3 year olds take a 2 hour nap in the afternoon, while others have given up napping entirely. If s/he seems to be irritable and overtired from lack of sleep, you might schedule a "quiet time" where your child does not have to sleep, but must stay on his/her bed reading or playing quietly. Your child may sometimes sleep during this time."
So I'm kind of hoping for 11 hours at night and a 1 hour nap.
Because right now Eastynn sleeps 11 hours at night and has two 2 hour naps. Which will in a couple months be 11 hours at night and one 3 hour nap which hopefully will be at the same time as Taylor's one hour nap.
That's what we are doing sleep wise.
We are having a huge problem with eating. Taylor will not eat her real meals but wants to snack all day and I would really like that to stop. I'm thinking that she can eat every time Eastynn eats and that means her 3 meals and she can snack every time Eastynn nurses and that is also 3 snacks which is plenty of food for a day.
So hopefully that will keep the peace but pointers are most certainly welcome.

Thanksgiving Weekend.

Well we have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. The fact that Taylor's adoption went through was the best news we had for this family since Eastynn was born and equally exciting. I would like to thank everyone for the congrats it means a lot to know how much everyone cares.
On Friday we went to Edmonton for a dart tournament which I didn't do to well at but I got some free time to myself which is needed very badly every time a tournament rolls around. We stayed with Brooklynn on the weekend Calvin was hunting but did make it home I only had a very short visit with both of them. Brooklynn made a wonderful chicken dinner. FANTASTIC even when it was cold.
Today Jason and Jo came down for a Thanksgiving dinner. It was Jo's very first Thansgiving. They don't celebrate Thanksgiving in England. It was really nice to see them. And we got some awesome family photos done today.
Last but not least Eastynn is FINALLY cutting her top tooth and can actually see it. It seems as that took forever.

ITS OFFICIAL

We just recieved a letter in the mail from the courts stating that Fabian is now Taylor's father so we now have a full Huber family we will be going shortly to get Taylor's name legally changed to Taylor Jade Huber. Hehe We are over the moon here. It went through officially on September 28th. So that will be a special day for Fabian and Taylor from this day forward.

Crappy Walk In Experience

Tonight I thought I'd take the girls to the doctor. Eastynn has had a runny nose, a little bit of a cough and been pulling at her hair right above her ears. Taylor has sounded like she had a chest cold or something. So I took the girls to the walk-in, I tried the one by our house and there was at least 15 people there I didn't even go in just went to a different one the one by the hospital. It took about 45 minutes to get in. And the doctor checked both girls out in less then 2 minutes he checked Taylor's chest and it was clear didn't even try and see if it could be something else. Then with eastynn he checked her ears and said they were clear as he was walking out the door I asked if it could be teething and he said he didn't know as he proceeded to walk out the door and told me to have a nice night. I'm pretty choked. So not sure what's wrong with the girls but I do know whats NOT wrong with them.

Elkwater

On Thursday the girls and I went out to Elkwater with one of my friends Tamara and her son Landon. It was quite a nice weekend although we could have done with walls that went all the way up to the roof not a foot or two shy but thats OK. I figured if my parents and there brothers and sisters all made due we could too. Which we did, just a little different with 2 little ones though. But it was fun the all the kids, played, cried had tantrums. I guess they were being kids. Eastynn got a wicked cold out there too, this is definately the first cold she has ever had I may have thought she has had colds previously but now that she has one I can say that all the one I thought she had before she was probably just cranky.
Other than that nothing really new.

Getting Ready

Today we are not doing much just hanging out. I'm doing laundry, a lot of laundry. The girls and I are going to Elkwater tomorrow. One of my good friends Tamara is coming out with her little boy. So it should be interesting a 9 month old, a 18 month old and a 3 year old. The husbands are coming out on Friday I believe. I hope the weather is nice. Tamara and I have only seen each other a few times for an hour or so in the last 4 years I think. So I hope everything goes well I need some time with some good old friends. I will post lots of pictures on Monday or shortly after that.
The girls are both doing well Taylor was getting a cold but seemed to nip that in the bud really quickly and Eastynn has had a runny nose forever it seems like but I think its teething you'd think she'd have more teeth by now. One of Eastynn's cousins born on the same day I think has 8 or 9 and Eastynn only has 2. They will probably all come fast and furious.

I don't know but I think I have the cutest 3 year old girl on the planet. I thought I'd post a few pictures. West Edmonton Mall

Well in Edmonton we went to the West Edmonton mall and took in the sea lion show it was good very entertaining. I think everyone enjoyed it except maybe Eastynn she slept through the whole thing except when the sea lion jumped up and gave everyone a little splash. We went and did a little shopping and got the girls some clothes. Had a little lunch and that burnt us all out. We took the girls and the boys home and Brooklynn and I did a little shopping that was nice to go out with a girl.
The night before we played some games that was a lot of fun too. Everyone was really tired the whole weekend for some reason. It was a great weekend.

Allergy Test.

So on Friday we went to our allergy test in Edmonton. Auntie Brooklynn came with Taylor and I. For Taylor they just tested her for pollens and such, she got ten little pricks in her arm. She was so good I couldn't believe it. And luckly had no allergies.
When they tested me they tested me for pollens and animals. I actually just did it so it would be easier for Taylor although I think she was better than me. It really hurt I thought anyway. Apparently I'm allergic to cats, mold, and grass. Which I find weird who wouldn't be allergic to mold or at least stay away from it. And grass that one makes me laugh cause I played center field for 12 years and I was a cart girl at the golf course and never had a problem. Oh well.

Heading to Edmonton

Tonight after bath and Eastynn nursing we are heading to Edmonton for the weekend. Taylor and I have a appointment at an allergy clinic tomorrow so that won't be very much fun. But we are really excited to get out of town and not have darts or Fabian's doctors appointments. We are going to spend some time with Calvin and Brooklynn which we are looking forward to that. Maybe some shopping too.
Tomorrow we are also getting our new couch my mom will be here when its delivered so it will be here when we get home. I can't wait.
Taylor also had another little break down at school this morning. I'm starting to think she was probably told no or told to clean up and the teachers actually stuck to there guns unlike Fabian and I. Not really sure why she cries when I drop her off. Might have to make Fabian come drop her off with me again. Its a lot of work with out him cause she wants up and I have Eastynn so carrying them down stairs is pretty hard. But we'll figure it out I'm sure.

What Just Happened?

I don't know what happened yesterday (or this morning I guess) Eastynn woke up at 1. I don't know why. I thought she'd go right back to sleep but no. I tried to let her cry for a bit and that just ended up bad cause then we had 2 kids up. Taylor went back to sleep pretty easy. Fabian got up with the girls as I knew today was going to be bad since both girls didn't have a good night sleep. God Bless Fabian, he's a good man. Anyway then he went and put Eastynn back down and nothing but tears so I stayed up with her for an hour and then Fabian took over again. In the mean time Taylor had woke up a couple times. Eastynn seems to be back on schedule. But Taylor oh my goodness that girl needs her sleep but doesn't seem to think she does. I'm trying to get her to nap now but she's not just watching treehouse but thats ok she laying down at least. But the poor kid has had meltdown after meltdown today. She had one on the way to school. A really big one at school and a couple after school all this though within 5 hours. I hope the day gets better. Tonight darts start and grandma is watching the girls and she's not feeling that great so I hope there nice to her.

Weekend Update.

This weekend has been pretty uneventful. We went and did a little shopping on Friday. We all got a treat. Eastynn got a little walker/riding toy. Taylor got a little doctors kit which she uses non stop, and a game kind of like Trouble but with Max and Ruby its pretty cool cause it doesn't use numbers you roll colors instead which is a little easier for Taylor to understand. Fabian and I got the board game monopoly but you have a little hand held thingy that you swipe credit cards in pretty cool. I never played monopoly as a kid so its been a lot of fun.
I played darts yesterday in our season opener with my dad and we did alright finished right in the middle of the pack.
Today has just been a lazy day.

Our Little Screamer

Eastynn has developed a new little annoying little habit. Screaming. I think she likes to hear her own voice. But all day long its a little extreme. Mommy doesn't really like it.
Although she's is saying "doh" a lot. I think sometimes it means no. Cause if I tell her no she'll repeat it but it comes out "doh" that is extremely cute.

Play School

The big day has finally arrived and Taylor started play school. I think she was really excited cause she was up at like 5:30, we did make her go back to sleep though. Once she got up and had her breakfast it was about 7:15 and she couldn't understand why she couldn't go to school like right now. Then we put her in the car and she was mad cause she wanted to ride the bus.
Once we got to school she was off playing. She called Fabian and I over to come see. I told her we had to leave and asked for a hug and a kiss. She gave me a hug a kiss and then pushed me. I thought it would have been hard on her but she couldn't wait for us to leave.
When I went to pick her up she was equally happy to see me as she was to get rid of me earlier in the day. I asked her if she liked it and she did. She told me they colored, read stories, played with blocks, and sang some songs. I asked her if she made some new friends and she mentioned Cody. I think it maybe a little boyfriend. I"ll have to look into that one. I asked her what her favorite part of the day was, and it was Cody. She also said she liked her teachers.

Could Be Just Luck

Today when I got up, I came and laid on the living room floor and the girls were climbing on me. And Eastynn let go and was standing all by her self I don't think it was more than 5 seconds but she was standing. Shouldn't be long now. I will keep everyone posted on that for sure.

Sleeping

I can't believe it. It's Sunday night 8:30 and both the girls are sleeping, unfortunately not in bed but nonetheless they are both asleep. By the time 8:00 rolls around you can tell they are both ready for bed which is totally fine by me.
I think Eastynn maybe teething she was a touch grumpier today she was also drooling a lot and has a bit of a runny nose. I was telling Taylor today about school, she is pretty excited I think it may take a few minutes on Tuesday to realize what's going on but she'll like once she's there. I'm a little scared she'll be so excited that I won't feel bad there and then she'll want to show us something and realize we are gone. I'm sure it will be ok.
I took a few pictures last week just cause Eastynn's hair was super curly.
