Dora-O-Lantern

So we ended up carving the pumpkin it took a lot longer than I anticipated but it was worth it. It looks pretty darn good. I did all of the carving while Fabian, Taylor, and I gutted it. It also took a few attempts to get the actual stencil on. OH well it looks good. I'm proud of myself my first attempt by myself I use to do it years ago with my parents but that was a long time ago.

Family Day

Today we had a family fun day, with the Collins.We went swimming today for a couple hours it was a lot of fun. We have not went swimming since Eastynn was only a couple months old. She really loved it she was in this flotation device but she could touch the bottom of the pool so it was kind of like a old style walker. (you know the ones you can't buy any more). We invited Kennedy too which was nice she played hard with all the kids and may have got a new babysitting job out of the deal.
And tonight we are going to carve a pumpkin hopefully it turns out good I will take some pictures of the whole thing it should be F-U-N.

Taylor's New Schedule

Well now that we got Eastynn on a schedule it is time to work on one for Taylor. I have been noticing that Taylor and I, and Taylor and Fabian are butting heads a lot and I'm thinking it maybe due to her lack of a schedule so it begins we will be making her have a 1-2 hour nap. She has been napping for an hour today and I tried to wake her but with no luck. So maybe once she gets into a routine we can get her napping for one hour and go to bed early HAHA that would be awesome. There is a website that says;
"Your 3 year old needs 10-12 hours of sleep each day. Many 3 year olds take a 2 hour nap in the afternoon, while others have given up napping entirely. If s/he seems to be irritable and overtired from lack of sleep, you might schedule a "quiet time" where your child does not have to sleep, but must stay on his/her bed reading or playing quietly. Your child may sometimes sleep during this time."
So I'm kind of hoping for 11 hours at night and a 1 hour nap.
Because right now Eastynn sleeps 11 hours at night and has two 2 hour naps. Which will in a couple months be 11 hours at night and one 3 hour nap which hopefully will be at the same time as Taylor's one hour nap.
That's what we are doing sleep wise.
We are having a huge problem with eating. Taylor will not eat her real meals but wants to snack all day and I would really like that to stop. I'm thinking that she can eat every time Eastynn eats and that means her 3 meals and she can snack every time Eastynn nurses and that is also 3 snacks which is plenty of food for a day.
So hopefully that will keep the peace but pointers are most certainly welcome.

Thanksgiving Weekend.

Well we have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. The fact that Taylor's adoption went through was the best news we had for this family since Eastynn was born and equally exciting. I would like to thank everyone for the congrats it means a lot to know how much everyone cares.
On Friday we went to Edmonton for a dart tournament which I didn't do to well at but I got some free time to myself which is needed very badly every time a tournament rolls around. We stayed with Brooklynn on the weekend Calvin was hunting but did make it home I only had a very short visit with both of them. Brooklynn made a wonderful chicken dinner. FANTASTIC even when it was cold.
Today Jason and Jo came down for a Thanksgiving dinner. It was Jo's very first Thansgiving. They don't celebrate Thanksgiving in England. It was really nice to see them. And we got some awesome family photos done today.
Last but not least Eastynn is FINALLY cutting her top tooth and can actually see it. It seems as that took forever.

ITS OFFICIAL

We just recieved a letter in the mail from the courts stating that Fabian is now Taylor's father so we now have a full Huber family we will be going shortly to get Taylor's name legally changed to Taylor Jade Huber. Hehe We are over the moon here. It went through officially on September 28th. So that will be a special day for Fabian and Taylor from this day forward.

Crappy Walk In Experience

Tonight I thought I'd take the girls to the doctor. Eastynn has had a runny nose, a little bit of a cough and been pulling at her hair right above her ears. Taylor has sounded like she had a chest cold or something. So I took the girls to the walk-in, I tried the one by our house and there was at least 15 people there I didn't even go in just went to a different one the one by the hospital. It took about 45 minutes to get in. And the doctor checked both girls out in less then 2 minutes he checked Taylor's chest and it was clear didn't even try and see if it could be something else. Then with eastynn he checked her ears and said they were clear as he was walking out the door I asked if it could be teething and he said he didn't know as he proceeded to walk out the door and told me to have a nice night. I'm pretty choked. So not sure what's wrong with the girls but I do know whats NOT wrong with them.

Elkwater

On Thursday the girls and I went out to Elkwater with one of my friends Tamara and her son Landon. It was quite a nice weekend although we could have done with walls that went all the way up to the roof not a foot or two shy but thats OK. I figured if my parents and there brothers and sisters all made due we could too. Which we did, just a little different with 2 little ones though. But it was fun the all the kids, played, cried had tantrums. I guess they were being kids. Eastynn got a wicked cold out there too, this is definately the first cold she has ever had I may have thought she has had colds previously but now that she has one I can say that all the one I thought she had before she was probably just cranky.
Other than that nothing really new.

Getting Ready

Today we are not doing much just hanging out. I'm doing laundry, a lot of laundry. The girls and I are going to Elkwater tomorrow. One of my good friends Tamara is coming out with her little boy. So it should be interesting a 9 month old, a 18 month old and a 3 year old. The husbands are coming out on Friday I believe. I hope the weather is nice. Tamara and I have only seen each other a few times for an hour or so in the last 4 years I think. So I hope everything goes well I need some time with some good old friends. I will post lots of pictures on Monday or shortly after that.
The girls are both doing well Taylor was getting a cold but seemed to nip that in the bud really quickly and Eastynn has had a runny nose forever it seems like but I think its teething you'd think she'd have more teeth by now. One of Eastynn's cousins born on the same day I think has 8 or 9 and Eastynn only has 2. They will probably all come fast and furious.

Cutest 3 Year Old Girl In The World

I don't know but I think I have the cutest 3 year old girl on the planet. I thought I'd post a few pictures. One was just my attempt at braiding another is one in the outfit Uncle Calvin and Auntie Brooklynn bought her. West Edmonton Mall

Well in Edmonton we went to the West Edmonton mall and took in the sea lion show it was good very entertaining. I think everyone enjoyed it except maybe Eastynn she slept through the whole thing except when the sea lion jumped up and gave everyone a little splash. We went and did a little shopping and got the girls some clothes. Had a little lunch and that burnt us all out. We took the girls and the boys home and Brooklynn and I did a little shopping that was nice to go out with a girl.
The night before we played some games that was a lot of fun too. Everyone was really tired the whole weekend for some reason. It was a great weekend.

Allergy Test.

So on Friday we went to our allergy test in Edmonton. Auntie Brooklynn came with Taylor and I. For Taylor they just tested her for pollens and such, she got ten little pricks in her arm. She was so good I couldn't believe it. And luckly had no allergies.
When they tested me they tested me for pollens and animals. I actually just did it so it would be easier for Taylor although I think she was better than me. It really hurt I thought anyway. Apparently I'm allergic to cats, mold, and grass. Which I find weird who wouldn't be allergic to mold or at least stay away from it. And grass that one makes me laugh cause I played center field for 12 years and I was a cart girl at the golf course and never had a problem. Oh well.

Heading to Edmonton

Tonight after bath and Eastynn nursing we are heading to Edmonton for the weekend. Taylor and I have a appointment at an allergy clinic tomorrow so that won't be very much fun. But we are really excited to get out of town and not have darts or Fabian's doctors appointments. We are going to spend some time with Calvin and Brooklynn which we are looking forward to that. Maybe some shopping too.
Tomorrow we are also getting our new couch my mom will be here when its delivered so it will be here when we get home. I can't wait.
Taylor also had another little break down at school this morning. I'm starting to think she was probably told no or told to clean up and the teachers actually stuck to there guns unlike Fabian and I. Not really sure why she cries when I drop her off. Might have to make Fabian come drop her off with me again. Its a lot of work with out him cause she wants up and I have Eastynn so carrying them down stairs is pretty hard. But we'll figure it out I'm sure.

What Just Happened?

I don't know what happened yesterday (or this morning I guess) Eastynn woke up at 1. I don't know why. I thought she'd go right back to sleep but no. I tried to let her cry for a bit and that just ended up bad cause then we had 2 kids up. Taylor went back to sleep pretty easy. Fabian got up with the girls as I knew today was going to be bad since both girls didn't have a good night sleep. God Bless Fabian, he's a good man. Anyway then he went and put Eastynn back down and nothing but tears so I stayed up with her for an hour and then Fabian took over again. In the mean time Taylor had woke up a couple times. Eastynn seems to be back on schedule. But Taylor oh my goodness that girl needs her sleep but doesn't seem to think she does. I'm trying to get her to nap now but she's not just watching treehouse but thats ok she laying down at least. But the poor kid has had meltdown after meltdown today. She had one on the way to school. A really big one at school and a couple after school all this though within 5 hours. I hope the day gets better. Tonight darts start and grandma is watching the girls and she's not feeling that great so I hope there nice to her.

Weekend Update.

This weekend has been pretty uneventful. We went and did a little shopping on Friday. We all got a treat. Eastynn got a little walker/riding toy. Taylor got a little doctors kit which she uses non stop, and a game kind of like Trouble but with Max and Ruby its pretty cool cause it doesn't use numbers you roll colors instead which is a little easier for Taylor to understand. Fabian and I got the board game monopoly but you have a little hand held thingy that you swipe credit cards in pretty cool. I never played monopoly as a kid so its been a lot of fun.
I played darts yesterday in our season opener with my dad and we did alright finished right in the middle of the pack.
Today has just been a lazy day.

Our Little Screamer

Eastynn has developed a new little annoying little habit. Screaming. I think she likes to hear her own voice. But all day long its a little extreme. Mommy doesn't really like it.
Although she's is saying "doh" a lot. I think sometimes it means no. Cause if I tell her no she'll repeat it but it comes out "doh" that is extremely cute.

Play School

The big day has finally arrived and Taylor started play school. I think she was really excited cause she was up at like 5:30, we did make her go back to sleep though. Once she got up and had her breakfast it was about 7:15 and she couldn't understand why she couldn't go to school like right now. Then we put her in the car and she was mad cause she wanted to ride the bus.
Once we got to school she was off playing. She called Fabian and I over to come see. I told her we had to leave and asked for a hug and a kiss. She gave me a hug a kiss and then pushed me. I thought it would have been hard on her but she couldn't wait for us to leave.
When I went to pick her up she was equally happy to see me as she was to get rid of me earlier in the day. I asked her if she liked it and she did. She told me they colored, read stories, played with blocks, and sang some songs. I asked her if she made some new friends and she mentioned Cody. I think it maybe a little boyfriend. I"ll have to look into that one. I asked her what her favorite part of the day was, and it was Cody. She also said she liked her teachers.

Could Be Just Luck

Today when I got up, I came and laid on the living room floor and the girls were climbing on me. And Eastynn let go and was standing all by her self I don't think it was more than 5 seconds but she was standing. Shouldn't be long now. I will keep everyone posted on that for sure.

Sleeping

I can't believe it. It's Sunday night 8:30 and both the girls are sleeping, unfortunately not in bed but nonetheless they are both asleep. By the time 8:00 rolls around you can tell they are both ready for bed which is totally fine by me.
I think Eastynn maybe teething she was a touch grumpier today she was also drooling a lot and has a bit of a runny nose. I was telling Taylor today about school, she is pretty excited I think it may take a few minutes on Tuesday to realize what's going on but she'll like once she's there. I'm a little scared she'll be so excited that I won't feel bad there and then she'll want to show us something and realize we are gone. I'm sure it will be ok.
I took a few pictures last week just cause Eastynn's hair was super curly.

Our Day In Drumheller

Today was such a great day.
We went to Drumheller the drive was a little extreme we missed the first turn onto highway 56 so we went to highway 21 then to highway 9 which would have added a fair bit of time but with the construction it was a lot of time. Other than that it was pretty good. Taylor was so well behaved and Eastynn to I couldn't of asked them to act any better.

So Far HMMM

So far tonight its been a bit weird Taylor fell asleep at like 9 but on the floor. Eastynn has not been doing well she'll wake up and cry really hard for about 5 minutes. Something she doesn't normally do in our room but its been awhile since I heard her wail. So not to sure if we'll leave Taylor on the floor tonight or if we'll eventually move her in to her room. *shrug*

The Big Switch

So tonight we made the big switch and put Eastynn in Taylor's room. I can hear Eastynn crying as I type here but thats no different than any other night. Taylor will be going to bed probably around 9:00-9:30 hopefully Eastynn will be in a deep sleep and Taylor will be good and go straight to sleep. Just to keep an eye on them I set up a video baby monitor to make sure Taylor stays in bed. I'm really really really hoping this works. If not we will have the play pen set up so we can just put her in there and let sleep in our room. And then us out on the floor and couch again.
Speaking of couch, we went and made a big purchase tonight and bought a couch. This one is pretty nice and its actually a sectional with two recliners like the one we have now but with the added feature of a hide-a-bed. Now we can have people actually stay over.
And tomorrow my mom, the girls, and I are going to Drumheller to Tyrell Musem to meet up with Jo and Kirsty and go see some dinosaurs. Fabian and Jason both have to wrok unfortunately. Another plus for tomorrow is we are finally getting our leak fixed it only took well over a month but yeah.
Well Eastynn has finally calmed down and fallen asleep.

Love Hate Relationship With This Schedule

I'm so loving this schedule for Eastynn its nice that she has a schedule and she's getting up earlier and especially going to bed at 7:30. Just a week ago it was midnight was probably the time she'd go to bed. But the thing I hate is I'm not use to getting up that early but once I have a shower I'm good. Taylor didn't got to bed at the time we were hoping last night but that's ok. Starting Saturday she will be going to bed at 8:00pm so she will be ready for school on Tuesday. Not sure what else to say I feel as if I have been repeating myself for the last few days sorry. But anyway...

My 200th Post

I can't believe 200 posts that's a lot of writing but well worth it. I love talking about my girls.
So anyway. Eastynn is doing great on this schedule and Taylor is following suit. They were both sleeping by 8:30 last night. It's really confusing for Fabian and I we don't know what to do with ourselves cause a week ago we were all basically going to bed at the same time. Our kids are a lot happier and I'm a lot happier too.
Eastynn schedule is awesome she gets up in the morning 2 hours later a nap for 1.5 hours. Then she gets up and 2 hours later she goes down for 1.5 hours. Then shes up for quite a while and then at night she sleeps a little over 12 hours. I love it we were going to join the baby fit class but that couldn't find the one we wanted which actually is okay because it was during nap time and we don't want that. I'll wait till after Jan. cause then she should be down to one nap a day.

Still Going Strong

Well, I'm surprised but Eastynn is still going strong she's trying to fight it a bit naps are a little tough today but Fabian and I are going to be strong. All the books and experts say consistency is the key. So we are trying to stick to our guns which is kind of hard considering we are both suckers. Anyway that's all for now.

Schedules

I know I always say we are working on a new schedule but today is day 2 in a new schedule for Eastynn and sleeping and oh my goodness its like we have a different child. I think in her own way she has been absolutely begging us for this. She is so much happier now, not that she was bad before but her whining could really get on your nerves but no whining the last couple days. She had 2 naps yesterday and slept through the entire night. So we are going to change it by 15 minutes everyday till Taylor goes to playschool.
Yeah that's right Taylor is going to play school 3 days a week in the mornings. I'm so excited to have my girls on a nice easy schedule and I think they will be happier for it to.
Eventually the goal is to have Taylor go to bed at 7:00pm and wake up at 7:00 and have a nap around 1ish for about an hour and a half. And Eastynn will go to bed at 7:00 and sleep till 7:00 and have a early morning nap around 8:45 and sleep till 10:15 and from 1ish for an hour and a half. Oh my gosh just thinking about it makes me happy. Lets hope MOM can stick with it. I totally know if it doesn't work its my fault.
Eastynn and I are also joining a babyfit class it swimming exercises more for me but some games for the little ones. I can't wait maybe I'll lose some weight in the process.

Our Weekend in Calgary

We went to Calgary this weekend for a dart tournament and Fabian had a doctors appointment. I won't get into Fabian's Doctors appointment much you can check ut his blog for that. I played some darts and got a little break from the girls. I didn't play well in most of the events except the ladies doubles, which I played with a friend Linda Ledingham (who is an awesome dart player). We won the ladies doubles and surprisingly I held my own. It was a very fun weekend at darts.
As for the girls they had a blast with Jay, Jo, and Paul. Eastynn loved the fact that there furniture was so much smaller and she could stand up with ease.
And Taylor well she got spoiled by Uncle Jay cause he hasn't seen her since her birthday. She got to go to Cheese Town aka Chuck E Cheese with dad and Eastynn. On Monday we went to Calaway park just the 3 of us. I think she really enjoyed herself all weekend. And we are happy to be home and finally things can go back to normal with Fabian back at work.

What's New

This week we spent a lot of time in Elkwater not a whole lot of eventful things happened.
We did some fishing. I caught 3 fish 1 small one and 2 really small ones. Taylor caught weeds and she is really proud telling everyone who asks about how fishing went.
Eastynn like I said in a previous post is pulling herself up on furniture its driving me crazy because she gets so upset that she can't stand for long and all she wants to do all day is stand.
I have a severe earache just got back from the ER I was going to go to walk-in in the morning but couldn't wait that long the pain is so bad. They cleaned up the wax build up and told me I had an ear ache and gave me some drops. But told me he could not give me anything for the pain because I'm nursing also my hearing should come back in 3-5 days. Yeah I can't hear which is bad Fabian actually had to get up with Eastynn last night I heard a cry but it was so quite i thought I was dreaming. Anyway I hope it goes away fast. Now I really feel sorry for poor Presley who had an earache August long I forgot how painful they can be.
Anyway tomorrow we are off to Calgary. I have a dart tournament. Taylor wants to go to Cheese Town aka Chuck E Cheese. Fabian has a doctors appointment early on Monday morning and were going to try and go to Calaway Park, it maybe the last time we get to go this year.

Taylor's New Found Hobby

On our trip we went out into the boat with Papa Huber and found that Taylor loves fishing. She fished a little with a few of us on saturday and on sunday I didn't go but she really seems to like it.
Uncle Daniel and Auntie Linda ended up buying her a Dora fishing rod. And we have used it a few times since then. I have even went out and got some fishing stuff but not sure if I'm doing it right but we are trying.

Taylor's Third 3rd Birthday

Grandma Huber decided to get Taylor another cake. She got her a princess cake. Her cousins who are big fans of spidy and teenage mutant ninja turtles were not exremely thrilled with the cake but I think they still ate it anyway.

The Babies

While camping the girls got to meet some of there cousin's. Presley and Eastynn are in fact born on the same day. It was funny watching them together because Presley is so much bigger than Eastynn and laid back. But oh so adorable.
Then there is Justin he is going to be 1 on the 16th if I remember correctly. Him and Eastyn would play, play, play beside each other but it was fun to watch nonetheless.

Aug Long Weekend

I know I should have done this hmmm about a week ago but either I can't post or somethng is always happening one of the girls getting upset.
So anyway....
Last weekend we went to Round Lake, Saskatchewan. Which made Grandma Huber extremely happy cause its been forever since we have been out that way.
We were suppose to leave Friday at 2 but got out of here early at around 11:30 but never let on that we had left early, so we surprised Grandma and Grandpa Huber. Who just had told Cara and Phil but hadn't got to tell Dorris and James yet so it was a nice surprise for some and a huge surprise for others.
We got to see lots of family and had a lot of fun watching the kids play.

2 Big Milestones Today

Today was a big day for the Huber's
We were driving home from Elkwater and Taylor was talking to much and getting on my nerves a little. So I said lets count. She started counting I said 1, she said 2, I said 2, and she did that all the way to 10. I started again and then at about 4 I realized my baby girl just counted to 10 all by herself. YEAH. I was so proud. Its really weird cause usually she just goes 1,2,1,2,1,2. And we have the occasional 1,2,3. But never anything more than that. It was really exciting.
And as for Little Miss Eastynn. She pulled herself up on the couch I new that was going to happen but didn't think it will be that soon. I'm thinking she will probably be walking before we want her to but we'll see.

Taylor's Birthday party

We had Taylor's birthday last Tuesday. We went to Panorama Lanes and they have a play area for the little ones it was really quite nice. Our house is to small to have many people here and it was just far to hot last week to have anything outside. We had it on Tuesday because Grandma and Grandpa Huber came down for a couple days. Taylor had 2 of her friends show up Jaliah Kochie and Brooklynne Painter. It was to cute Taylor calls Brooklynne Broccoli and Brooklynne calls Taylor Tater. Way to funny.
Taylor got some really nice gifts and she really enjoyed her cake.
On Wednesday Grandpa Mellor put her name on the radio (he didn't realize it was only the 1st and not the 2nd) and she won the birthday file which means she won another birthday cake and some flowers. Very nice. So she had birthday cake again.
On Thursday Taylor's actual birthday we had Grandma and Grandpa Mellor over for supper and yet again had some birthday cake.
Then on the weekend when we were out in Saskatchewan. Grandma Huber had another cake for Taylor so we had birthday cake on Saturday and Sunday probably a couple times a day.
