Relay For Life

This year the Relay For Life was a little different than in previous years for obvious reasons.
This year I joined Fabian for the survivor supper, we shared our supper with the girls although it was really small. My mom and dad were also there and Auntie Cindy. It was pretty nice.
After was the survivor lap which is pretty inspirational. Obviously hard to watch some people there no one ever wants to see anyone in there family there but also very hard to see children in there.
This year there was the Chisholm/Sehn team in memory of Stephanie.
Also this year a team from Fox Valley for my mom's cousin Larry and the tents were side by side. So an enormous amount of family there it was really nice.
We stayed till about 11pm and then left, the girls were so so tired.

YAY Eastynn

Today was a big day. We went to Taylor's soccer game and she played so so well she is getting better every game she plays. Eastynn was very distracted throughout the game she said she had pooped and we had no diapers. So Fabian was going to take her home to change her and as they passed by the potty she asked to go potty and she did it she went pee pee in a port a potty. YAY Eastynn. Of course we made a big deal of it and about 10 minutes later she asked to go again and she did. YAY Eastynn. Big deal again. She came home and was bragging till we put her to bed so I think this maybe the beginning of the end of diapers.

Operation Family Identification

Today at London Drugs they had Operation Family Identification. It was a free service that anyone with young children should try and do every year or every other year. We went in there filled out some info, go to the next station and then they got weighed and measured, then the next station and got finger printed and lastly the got there pictures taken. You get a kit and keep it in a safe place in case something were to happen to the kids. Very nice to have that little piece of mind.
The girls were good for the most part so they of course got a treat but that's okay.

She Is Her Mother's Daughter

Yesterday morning after Eastynn and I dropped Taylor off at school we went shopping. Taylor is in such desperate need of clothing I had to go out and splurge. We got her a ton of stuff. Some CK underwear, some Nike socks which were a super good deal only $3 for 3 pair, she got a Paul Frank shirt (it has a monkey on it), she got to Tommy Hilfiger polo shirts, a pair of shorts mini ungava I really like them, also a mini skirt from the same name, a pair of levi's shorts, and a really nice sweater which she will probably get for Christmas it was to good of a deal to pass up only $20 on sale and usually it would retail for $60. I also got her and Eastynn a matching out fit and Eastynn got some puma socks.

Later in the day we went to get shoes to match all her new clothes and this is where she made me feel bad for every time my mom took me shopping. She threw such a fit cause she wanted Hannah Montana shoes I couldn't even convince her to try anything else on. I did manage to find a pair of Hannah Montana flip flops for cheap so then she gave in and let me get her the shoes I wanted to get her.

As for Little E, I have found a ton of clothes from Taylor from when we splurged on her so she is set for the summer for the most part may need some shorts but we have tons of skirts so hopefully she can get away with just the skirts. Instead of buying Eastynn shoes I went to the condo to grab Taylor's old shoes and grabbed all of Taylor's shoes and all Eastynn's shoes I could get my hands on they have so many shoes it ridiculous I would say there is at least 40 pairs from infant to Taylor's size now possibly more.

Mother Day 2009

Mothers day was a little different this year normally Grandma C, mom, Heather, Velvet and I go to a mothers day brunch at the Lodge or another hotel, this year we went to Pam and Shane's. We had some KFC. Taylor and Eastynn played lots with Kennedy. I got some new clothes for mothers day some nice girl clothes which I love. It was a little sad I only got to spend a couple hours with my mom cause her dad and Fabian went to Calgary. Fabian has a course up there and dad has radiation up there as well.
It was also little Kingston's first birthday wasn't sure I was going to be able to see him but they stopped by for a little while.
We also got some pretty special news which I can't say online till the people it involves get to tell all the people they want to tell but its awesome, can't wait.

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers that I know and especially all the mommies who read this blog, love you all.

That's all for now.

ps I also forgot that on Friday Pam took the girls and mom to Kenny's dance recital they really loved it and Taylor is really wanting to go into dance now so hopefully we can do that soon as well. Eastynn loved it too but she will have to wait awhile till she can be enrolled in some dance classes.

Also Little E has figured out how to open doors so sleep hasn't been happening much lately so we had to go get some door knob covers from the condo otherwise she will get up at any hour of the night and just chill out by herself. Hopefully soon everyone will be on a normal schedule again.

Medicine Hat Dart League Banquet

Saturday was the MHDL banquet. It was nice dad got a trophy for high score 177 which is the highest score you can get with out hitting 3 triple 20's. I got a special award for a 170 out. Taff was also awarded with a special award and got a standing ovation. He's a pretty special guy to me and when I seen my dad get out of his wheel chair and stand I nearly cried. Mom and Dad didn't stay long sadly but we partied pretty hard after they left it was a great day.

Mothers Day Tea

On Friday I went to Taylor's school. The kids sang us some songs served us some treats and gave us a card it was so cute. The card made me cry and her teacher told me she wrote the To mom and love Taylor all by herself. The songs were very cute. I love that little munchkin and its always nice when me and her can do something one on one.

We also have got the girls registered for swimming lessons for the summer Eastynn is in one duck she still needs to have a parent with her when she is in classes so I made it in the evening so her and daddy can that class together because those to NEVER get one on one time. Taylor has back to back classes 2 weeks as a salamander and then 2 weeks as a sunfish. Its crazy next year she is going to seem so grown up. In school, swimming, soccer and maybe dance my baby is getting so big. And Brook you think time is flying by now wait till you baby is going to school and you go what just happened to the last 4 years.

Swimming Again with Papa and Grandma Mellor

On Friday we went to the pool again with Grandma and Papa. Since Papa isn't as good at walking anymore it was quite hard for him but thankfully he had a life jacket cause with the waves and the lazy river he got tossed about the pool. I think if we go earlier in the morning before they put on the waves it will be easier and more theraputic for him. So after getting smashed into the wall he went and sat in the hot tub. Eastynn and I sat in the tot pool. Grandma and Taylor stayed in the wave pool and I think those to had a great time and I think Grandma will be going to the pool again, she loves swimming.

Taylor and Soccer

Taylor has soccer every Monday and Wednesday. She is doing so well I am always so proud of her every time she is out on the field. She is also getting better every time she is one the field. She loves to play. All the little girls crack me up to no end you see about 10 face plants per game last game a girl even lost a shoe when she did her face plant. I love how all the little ones will talk to there parents from the field like they are the only ones there. A little girl at the last game took her fingers and pointed at her eyes then the ball and yelled at her dad. Did you like that I kept my eyes on the ball. So cute.

Swimming with Jay and Tyler

On Sunday May 3 we went to the pool with Jason and Tyler. Sadly daddy didn't come but the girls had a blast with Jason and Tyler. They even took Taylor on the rope, where you swing on it and land in a deep deep pool. Taylor tried did not to bad she forgot to let go every time but she will learn I am very proud that she is not scared of the water. Jason also showed off his diving skills to Tyler and Taylor while Eastynn and I waited in the tot pool.

We have been so busy with lots of stuff lately.
On Saturday May 2nd we had our 2nd annual Canadian Cancer Society. It was absolutely amazing. We raised an amazing $5244. Everyone had a great time. It was nice that we had some Chisholm's actually play Alex and Collin and they both did very well. Alex finished in the top 3 in the B side and Collin finished in the top 3 in the A side. My dad was down but unable to play but just his presence there was pretty awesome, his doctor even came down for awhile. Jason and Tyler also came from Calgary. It was very nice to even have Brian and Eva come down for it too, sadly the day after they got a phone call that Brian had lost his brother, Gerald, from Edmonton. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the Huber family.
I would like to thank everyone who just came down to show there support, those who played and those who helped run the tournament, even those who couldn't make it but donated without your support this tournament wouldn't have been successful.

Taylor's First Soccer Game

Today was Taylor's first soccer game. Despite the rain and the little bit of snow and the only 6 degree weather they played. There are 5 girls on her team including her they don't play with a goalie. The girls are Taylor, Makenna, Terri-Lynne, Kali, and Nicole. It was pretty caotic but I think that is to be expected on the first day and the fact that they are 4 year olds. They do 15 minutes of drills, and 2 15 minute halves. It was pretty fun but cold I am looking forward to many more games hopefully they are a little more organized though soon. Eastynn just enjoyed all the open area to run.

We still haven't been doing much. The girls love the mom and dads house we have been here for close to 2 months now. There is more room for them to play no especially since the 4th level is empty and tons of room to play. Also the can go outside more now we play on the driveway lots now with the big air bouncer I bought them awhile ago and soon the pool that grandma bought them a couple years ago.
Last week we did go swimming on Friday the girls really enjoyed the pool. Taylor loves the river they have there she runs through it now she is going to be a good little swimmer soon, I think we will put her in a couple swimming lessons over the summer and a couple in the winter and then she will be done all the preschool lessons (for 6 and under) then the real swimming begins. Eastynn is getting a lot better in the pool too, last week we played ring around the rosy in the pool and me and Taylor would go under the water and after a couple times she would put her mouth and nose under the water but not the eyes yet, that will be soon I am sure. They both are getting good at jumping off the edge of the pool as well.
We also went for a bike ride last week as well, Taylor has a problem she will peddle peddle peddle brake. Its hard if you are behind her you have to be right on it so you don't crash into her. I had Eastynn in the little bike trailer. She didn't seem to like it but she didn't dislike it either.

Funniest Story Ever

Today Taylor came up to me and said, "MOMMY, JULIANNA AND HER MOMMY AND HER DADDY ARE HAVING A BABY IN TWO WEEKS." I said, "Really where are they getting the baby from?" And as excited as ever she said, "WAL-MART." The funniest thing ever, I thought she would say from Julianna's mom never expected that to come out of her mouth. Kid's defiantely say the darndest things. I love it.
This week has been pretty good so far. Me and Eastynn went swimming on Tuesday while Taylor had a play date at Julianna's. Today me and the girls went swimming and we are hoping to go again. The weather has been nice enough to go to the park but I love the pool and its only a couple more weeks before our swim passes are expired so we are going to try and go everyday for the next while.

Easter 2009

Easter started off at 7am, a little later than our Christmas if I do recall correctly. Taylor was in our room saying the Easter bunny had come last night. She is so cute even in the morning. The bunny had hid 12 eggs in the living room and 12 in the family room. Eastynn didn't quite get what was going on but was still happy cause her sister was happy. After they were done I told him the Easter bunny might have left them a present under their bed. Eastynn got a movie and Taylor got a game. They both love their presents.
The girls looked so pretty in there dresses. It was a beautiful day so that got to spend a good portion of it outside playing with Kennedy and Logan. They got to do another Easter egg hunt with Kingston he is getting so big and starting to walk.

Good Friday....NO NO NO Great Friday

It was a perfect day, so simple but so perfect.

Taylor and I made cookies for papa's birthday in the morning. Then Taylor and Jo made banana muffins. After that Jo and I got to go to the mall and pick up gifts hers to take to England and papa's birthday gift. Then we all went down to Police Point Park I have taken the girls there every year since well before Eastynn was born for sure. They always have baby chicks, pheasants, and bunnies which are fun for a little bit the girls weren't so interested in them this year last year we spent hours with the chicks. We all roasted some hot dogs over a fire it was awesome. Had a little picnic. Then we went and painted Easter Eggs, with wax and everything it was fun being there with my babies and my parents, my husband and brother. It was so nice to have Jo there and Pam, Maddy and Kenny. The more family the better always in my opinion. There was some lady that came by and snapped Taylor's picture. It ended up being in the news paper right underneath the date on papa's birthday, to cool. It's days like this that you can look back and know your are truly blessed in your life, I hope to have countless more days like this.

Fun with The Storch's

When we went to Calgary on Saturday and stayed with Ryan and Lisa. Taylor held baby Calvin she was so good he cried and she never even got excited or scared. The girls had a blast with the puppies Taylor thought they were playing hide and seek and then later they were playing tag. The next day we actually spent the afternoon with almost the entire family Ryan, Lisa, Luke, Nik, Shelby, and Calvin the only one missing was Ryan's daughter Morgan. It was really nice, Lisa made us a very nice dinner. Eastynn actually even held the baby and when he cried she was just as good as Taylor never got to worried or excited. The visit was a little short but nice anyway.

The Kids At The Zoo

The girls had a blast at the zoo this year. I think Taylor is at the perfect age for the zoo. Eastynn got excited a few times, but for the most part she was just happy to be walking around outside with not a lot of restraints. She is quite the doddler not sure where she gets that from. We made it to see all the exotic animals but we didn't make it to the prehistoric park or to the Canadian wildlife but next year or later in the year we will be sure to do the entire zoo. The girls also got a glow in the dark shirt from the zoo they really liked mine so got them one each.

Our Giraffe Pic

Every time we go to the zoo. I always try and get one group photo, they are suppose to be of me, Fabian and the girls, but one year Fabian was in the hospital so Uncle Jason subbed in. One of my favorite parts of the day. And it was Taylor's favorite part she wanted to see the giraffe's first.

Busy Days

Our days have been so busy but we aren't doing anything really. We run papa from one appointment to another and that's about it.
Taylor has a new love, geography. I am trying to embrace it but it is really difficult not much out there geared at children her age. I did find a HUGE floor puzzle that is the map of Canada and is also Dora. So she knows that we all live in Canada, except Jo. She knows that Jason lives in Alberta but not where we live and she knows that Grandma and Papa Huber live in Saskatchewan. Its really a hard concept to explain to a child the difference cities, provinces, and countries. If anyone has any ideas what I can do to embrace this please let me know.
As for little Eastynn, well what can I say she has her ups and she has her downs. She is a pretty funny does little things and things she is so funny, she is going to be trouble I think. She is also talking up a storm. She is getting very good at her numbers she can mumble the numbers all the way up to 10. She also is getting really good at her colors and her animals.

Taylor's Monday

Monday was a big day for Taylor. First thing in the morning she got her "big kid" needles. I was upset to see it doesn't get easier as they get older just as sad as the baby needles but she was very brave. Then we had her speech, she is so funny every person we passed she told them she got needles, she is not she in the least. She did well in her speech as usual not sure how many more we have left but she is talking so much better than she use to. Then we went and registered her for soccer, she is so excited about the fact she is going to play soccer, as a softball player I must admit I am really excited about her playing soccer too. In the afternoon we went and bought her soccer gear, she got some little adidas socks that have the shin guards built right in, she also got a pair of little adidas cleats (so cute), and also a little pair of umbro soccer shorts. All she needs now is a pair of cute soccer pants in case its cold but she has some other ones for the time being.

Tid Bits Of Our Week

On Monday Uncle Jason was down the girls got to spend a little bit of time with him. While I was running my dad around. He also cut my hair, Fabians, and fixed up Taylor's. Taylor had speech and did well as usual.

Tuesday Eastynn and I got to go grocery shopping something we don't normally do. Its usually Taylor and daddy that get that chore. She liked it and I didn't mind it might have to do that more often its nice to spend time with her actually doing something.

Wednesday I sent the girls on a little scavenger hunt. We got the movie Bolt and a couple cardboard cut outs with it. I put one in the girls bedroom and the puppy cut out by the dog dish and finally the movie in the dvd with the case in front of the tv. They didn't really understand it but loved telling people about it.

Thursday not a whole lot happened on Thursday when I went and picked Taylor up her teach told me that she sang her ABC's in front of the entire class all by herself not something I'd expect out of her she's pretty she when in front of people. She doesn't seem to think its a big deal, but mommy is so proud of her.

Today me and the girls went to Logan's hockey game, then we went to see papa and grandma for a little bit, came home had some supper, then I surprised the girls with a movie at the theater, Monster vs Alien. We went with Becky and Brooklynne, Taylor was so excited but once the movie started she wasn't in to it much about half way through she came and sat on my lap and almost fell asleep during the last 15 minutes. Eastynn on the other hand was so interested in the movie pointing at the screen saying mom mom mom mom and then when I'd look over her mouth in a perfect little O it was so cute wish I could have had a camera. The only weird thing was it was a 3D movie and I think my children were the only 2 in the entire theater not wearing the 3D glassed. Oh well they still enjoyed it. And there pop came in a plastic cup and there popcorn in a plastic container which we decided are great for the tub. After the movie we went and watched one more game of Logan. Its nice cause it the 3 on 3 and the games are only a half hour perfect for a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Uncle Darren and the girls found a couple hockey pucks I am absoultely stunned Eastynn didn't take them to bed with her they were pretty hard to pry from her little hands before they had there bath.

That's all for now.

Little Brooklynne's Birthday

Yesterday we had Little Brooklynne's 4th Birthday Party. Although today is her birthday. So Happy Birthday Brooklynne.
She had a jammie party only a 4 year old could get grown ups to wear there jammies out in public. The girls all had fun as usual.
That's all for now.

Other tid bits through out the week

On Monday Taylor, Eastynn and I went to McDonalds and met up with Becky and Brooklynne. It was awesome the place was so slow they pretty much had the entire play place to them selves it was great. It was also nice cause Becky and I got to visit with very few interruptions for once.

Thursday Taylor had the flu. Poor girl. She threw up 3 different times through the day but she is such a trooper though. She did so well. I think something is up with her again her nose is running just from one side and her eye is watering again. They say she doesn't have allergies but I beg to differ.

Friday I went to the hospital by myself to visit my dad while the girls spent the evening with there dad at the swimming pool.

Saturday I played in a dart tournament. Fabian took Taylor to Chatter's Hair Salon they were giving out free hair cuts all day. By the time he got there there was a 4 hour wait for the hair cut so they left and went back. She got her bangs cut so she can see again and her hair is just sitting on her shoulders. I love it, I think we need to keep this style.
