Calgary Christmas Fun

Yesterday after the docs appointment we took off to Calgary just the girls and I. The roads were a little scary on the way there. It was all good once we got there though. Taylor and Jason immediately started making a ginger bread house and Eastynn and Jason's dog played. It was quite funny. Later we went to zoo lights it was cold. The girls were really bundled up so they were good. I had brought appropriate wear but Jason told me if he didn't have snow pants I can't wear them either so I went along with it I should have let him use my snow pants we may have been able to look at all the light and appreciate them rather than rushing through it. Granted next year we will pick a much nicer day to go. It was fun regardless. That's all for now.

2 Year Check Up

Yesterday morning we went to the doctor for Eastynn's 2 year check up and she was not in the mood what so ever for our doctor to even be looking at her. That's my girl. She fought him every step of the way thankfully he is a paitent man. He was really quick. He mentioned that she had a bad ear infection which shocked both Fabian and I. She has been unusually happy lately. He also mentioned that she is cutting teeth, which we did know.
They took her measurements she is 22lbs, same as her when she had her needles in Sept. in Sept she was a mere 2'5" and now she is an outstanding 2'8". :) She is growing they do say if you take there height they are at 2 you will get there height as an adult so she will be taller than Auntie Brooklynn ok and maybe mommy too.

Taylor's Christmas Party 2008

Today was Taylor's Christmas party at school. They kids sang some song one kid extremely loud but it was cute. They did some edible crafts and some non-edible crafts. It was really cute I only got one picture but I got some video that I will post on facebook if you would like to check it out.
We also went and mailed some Christmas cards some to England some to Calgary and 2 to P.E.I so if you don't live in one of those cities you have to wait till Christmas or Boxing Day for the people in Sask..
So now I think we are really ready for Christmas. Minus wrapping the presents.

Santa Photos

Today we finally made it to see Santa. We not only went to see one santa we got to see 2 of them. We seen the one at the mall I was a little nervous that Eastynn would not sit on Santa's lap, BOY did she prove me wrong she got right up there and gave huge smiles and even "talked" to him. She was so excited to see him she can even say Santa. Taylor of course actually talked to Santa and told him that she wants a swimming baby. She said that Eastynn wants a swimming baby as well.
Then we went to outside Santa his house always looks so amazing he decorates to the nine's every year. This is the Santa that when he is not working and it is nice outside he golf's with Papa Mellor. It is awesome to see this Santa. Santa talked both girls here and they both really enjoyed it.

Little Eastynn is 2

Today was my Little E's birthday and despite the utterly cold weather we still had a decent turn out and The Huber family is very greatful that everyone braved the cold to come to her birthday. Thank you very much. She had a great time and so did Taylor. Taylor got to see her best friend Brooklynne and mommy got to see her best friend Becky. Eastynn got completely spoiled as usual.
Today Taylor also had her last speech class until Jan 5th she was doing so well. Her teacher wanted her to be able to say things like "my fish" and "my feet" she was really amazed when Taylor told her "I am four and I am going to be five" yep today she even got the V sound right I was a very proud mama. Her teacher also was getting Taylor to use the F sound in the middle and at the end of a word. She said "Alphabet" and "Elephant" it was great and her teacher just wanted her to say the word and she would say "my elephant" using 2 word sentences which was really good. I think it won't be long before she is talking very well with no mistakes.

What A Weekend!!!

This weekend was awfully busy considering the bitter cold outside. It all started on Friday night with Uncle Shane's 40th birthday party for some reason I have no photos from that day but we all had a fantastic time so good Taylor fell asleep at the party and Eastynn (at 1:30am) wasn't ready to go. She love her cousin Kenny go thing we are spending lots of time with them this month.
Yesterday was lazing around all day we found out poor little Eastynn is all bunged up, she is still passing but it is insanely painful and she hurt herself a little yesterday when she pooped. So now not only does my kid have a cold and getting her 2 year molars but now she is constipated on top of it. She is having a super tough time sleeping lately Thursday & Friday was 2am and last night I took a photo of her sleeping in the little time she did sleep but she fell asleep for the final time at 4am. I think she maybe like her mommy and sick on Christmases which I know from past experience is not fun.
Today was Kingston's baptism and we did go out and brave the cold. Taylor through the whole ceremony kept asking when is Kingeastynn's turn (yep she call's him King Eastynn). He certainly was cute. It was amazing they baptized 4 kids and I knew the mom's of 3 of them I think my mom said she knew all of the families. We went to there house after from some great food and to be around lots and lots of kids. Which made me realize how anti-social Eastynn really is. Oh well hopefully we can get her over that soon.
Tomorrow is a big day for us it is Eastynn's birthday. I can't believe she is going to be 2 already. I invited all the Chisholm's over and a couple friends I think the cold maybe an issue but oh well she is going to have fun regardless I think. I will post some pictures tomorrow night or Tuesday from her birthday.

Cranky Kids

I am not sure what happened with Taylor but she asked if she could watch her show. I asked her to clean her room she had a little meltdown. Once she recovered she asked if she could have a snack and I said once you clean your room and I went and checked on her and she had cried herself to sleep.
I got Eastynn ready for bed laid her down she cried for a bit then was good once Fabian got home she woke up and crying and I usually let her cry it out but she wasn't having it. So we got her out let her play for a bit put her back to bed ans she cried and wouldn't go to sleep. So Fabian went and changed her bum and she came back out he suggested she might be teething I checked her mouth and there was a tooth coming through. Lets hope it is only one till after the holidays. Anyway its 12:45am and we are still awake. We are suppose to go swimming tomorrow and I am thinking it is highly unlikely. I hope so though.

Snow Fun

Today since we finally got snow I and since the girls now both have snow pants I sucked it up and took them outside to play. We only were outside for about 45 minutes but long enough when it is -10. Not much to do though. The snow wasn't sticky enough to make a snowman or snowballs so that was out although we threw snow at each other and made some snow angels. It was fun nonetheless. Eastynn this morning hated the snow she wouldn't walk through it at all and when we got to the van the little bit that was on her boots made her cry. It was quite funny I was scared we were going to have a child scared of snow that would have been horrible.

Chritmas Decorating and Shopping

This week I managed to get a lot of Christmas shopping done. I went Tuesday after darts got lots of stuff I was about 40% done the shopping and last night bumped it up to about 75%. I just have to finish up some stuff for daddy and the girls. I have also got some good deals it was pretty good.
Today I put the Christmas lights up around the fence outside it was a nice day but I couldn't wear gloves while doing it so my hands were pretty cold by the time I was done it took about an hour.
We also got the advent calendar hung from when I was a little girl that was my favorite part of the day when we got to eat the lifesavers off it every morning. I am really happy that is something I get to share with my girls. I never thought it was that cute growing up just took it for granted now that I look at it and see the effort that was put in to make it I absolutely love it.
Not much other news here. Everyone has a touch of a cold and that's about it.
