All Fixed Up

So as soon as Fabian got home we went and seen my friend Francine she owns a salon here in town. She didn't seemed shocked at all that Taylor cut her own hair I am sure she has seen it a lot. Anyway there was not much at all she could do with her hair and her bangs look crooked but that is cause she cut super short on one side so it is suppose to look like it is swooping across her forehead. Oh well looks alright I guess.

OH Geez

Well yesterday was a full day. We got up everyone did some cleaning and what not. The girls cleaned there toys. I made lunch and did the dishes while dad cleaned the car and installed the new car seats.
Taylor and I after lunch went shopping cause Grandma Huber phoned after reading my blog to see how Jason was doing and to tell us she would replace Taylor's vtech that isn't working. Which is awesome and I thank you for both checking on Jason and replacing it Taylor loves it. I don't know what we would have done with out one till Christmas.
We also went swimming after supper which both the girls seemed to enjoy Fabian and I did as well. That was our special day.
Once we got home Taylor immediately started complaining of a tummy ache cause it was after all bed time. She did however have a tummy ache she had an accident in her room she couldn't make it to bed thankfully it only ended up on her jammies and one of her blankets so I gave her a bath and put her back to bed and she seems to be fine today.
Today I was laying on the couch while Eastynn was napping and all of a sudden Taylor comes and shows me a cup she broke I told her it was ok and told her to throw it away. She said there was some in the toilet so I went and checked it was nothing worth digging out so I flushed the toilet and as I watched it go down out of the corner of my eye I seen a chunk of hair. It shocked me then I looked up a little and there was another chunk in the garbage and some hanging out of the brush on the counter and another chunk in the sink. Yes she cut her hair with a pair of scissors you get in with the baby nail clippers, which I left out so I will take the blame for this one. I hope when Fabian takes her for a haircut later tonight that they can make it look decent I am not sure they can though. I took a few pics though. It was weird cause I was using the scissors this morning and thinking I can't believe they haven't tried cutting there hair yet. Oh well I think lots of kids do this. Hopefully it will be the last time though.

Weekly Update

So another week has come and gone.
This week was not bad we started a new system that seems to work well with Taylor. She has to clean up her toys a few times a day and if she doesn't I take those toys away and if she cleans her toys up she gets something back so that works well. She is also not whining as much or screaming cause she gets a time out. She is suppose to get time outs when she doesn't listen as well but if I did that she would be in there all day long so we are working on this slowly.
Taylor also had her school photos done on Friday so I will post those as soon as we get them back.
Taylor's favorite expensive toy has finally bit the dust. We bought her a vtech last year and she didn't use it much till just recently but now its not working and I am not sure what we are going to do cause she has about 7 games at $25.00 each so I would like to replace it as soon as we can afford it I hope she can hold off for awhile.
The girls new car seats have finally arrived so they will be installed today. It is going to be sad to see the other one go Both Eastynn and Taylor used the one and a lot of car trips and memories in that one car seat and the other booster seat is basically brand new but they need to be replaced from the car accident.
Eastynn is well Eastynn she is babbling up a storm, playing one minute all content and an absolute bear the next minute but you got to love her.
On a sad note Jason was having what he consider the best trip in his life down in New York when he was mugged. Poor guy was beat up and had everything stolen from him including his plane ticket. His plane ticket was replaced and the hotel, bless them, gave him a free nights stay in the hotel and a free phone call to my mom. So we went and wired him some money and he should be on his way back to Calgary right now. It has been a hard day on my mom and I would imagine Jay but soon he will be in his own house in his own bed nice and safe and sound. We can't wait.
Tomorrow is going to be a family day I think as it is 1 year to the day that Taylor was adopted by Fabian.

Weekly Update

Where to start so much but so little has been going on.

Last Sunday Fabian and Eastynn were involved in a minor car accident. They were rear ended coming out of a parking lot. The damage is all in the back of the vehicle and will cost about $4500 to fix, which the other driver insurance will cover. They are also going to replace the car seats. Which if anyone has tried to find a car seat that goes from 5-80lbs is quite a challenge especially to get a couple that match. So I ordered them and they should be here on Oct 1st, long time to wait for car seats. The van goes in on Oct. 6th to be fixed and then we will get a rental till our van is fixed it better be a nice one. Eastynn didn't seem to get hurt at all in the accident. Fabian went to physio last week and has a few more appointments, we are hoping it is just some minor stiffness.

Calvin and Brooklynn stopped by on Wednesday night, we didn't see them on Wednesday. But on Thursday Brooklynn spent the day with me and the girls while Calvin and Daniel went and picked up a track hoe (I think that's what it was anyway). Fabian had to work. Us girls didn't do a thing all day we watched some tv and colored that was about it. We ordered some Chinese food we all ate Calvin, Brooklynn, Daniel, Linda, Fabian, Taylor, Eastynn and I. Then Cal and Brooklynn went and said bye to the girls Eastynn gave Calvin a little cuddle it was very cute. That day was far to short.

Friday Fabian had to work after the dentist at the college and then he went to learn the new system at his other job. It kind of sucked cause my dad hurt his back really bad he has a herniated disk and is in a lot of pain. He was rushed to the hospital because no one else could help him into a vehicle. We are hoping things get better soon.

Taylor has developed a new attitude that mom and dad don't appreciate what so ever. Although with her back talk and lack of respect today. She ended up losing a lot of privileges not to mention toys that weren't picked up.
Eastynn is no better she had a couple time outs today for her temper tantrums and not listening. Hopefully the attitudes leave soon and I can have the sweet little girls that I know and love.
Eastynn is a lot more interactive now. She is talking a lot most of the time you can't understand her but she probably has 20+ words in her vocabulary although she babbles non stop sometimes for 5 minutes at a time like she is totally telling you a story. She is definitely my cuddle monster. She is not as sensitive as Taylor but definitely needs her cuddles throughout the day.
Taylor is becoming a little girl more and more and leaving the toddler stage way to fast. She can play her video games all by herself and very well. She goes outside with the neighbor kids and doesn't need a whole lot of supervision there anymore. She is taking her dance class and loving every second of it. At school she is learning her letters and her numbers doing a lot of pre-k (kindergarten) stuff.

The Dentist

This morning Fabian, Taylor, and I went to the dentist. It was our first appointment in a few years same with Fabian. It was Taylor's very first dentist appointment ever. I wasn't there when she got her x-rays I was in with the dentist. She did very well. Both the dentist and his assistants were absouletly awesome with her. She has the start of a cavity but don't want to do anything about it right now.
Fabian has a couple cavities that will be fixed shortly.
I have a few problems. I have a few cavities, I also have a root canal from before they believe didn't heal properly because I have tmj which means I am a teeth clencher. I have caught myself clenching my teeth twice during this post already. So after my cavities are filled the are going to make me a night guard so I don't clench at night. I am just suppose to try my hardest not to clench during the day. My jaw at the moment is very sore from him making me open and close so much in the short time I was there. Sure will be nice when all is over and done with.

Taylor's Dance Lessons

Today Taylor had her very first ever dance lessons. I was so excited I had planned on video taping the whole thing and taking pictures I even went and got Grandma Mellor to come watch then I come to find out we are not allowed to stay. I was not impressed but me, grandma and Eastynn went to a charity BBQ but didn't eat then we went and got Taylor. She had a blast but informed me she needs to work on her "hewie hoop" I thought that was really cute. I think she is going to love her dance lessons I just wish I could watch.

Taylor's First Eye Appointment

Taylor had her very first eye appointment today. She did great. She was a little shy at first but didn't take her long to warm up to Dr. Mackenzie. She had to look four pictures one of a duck (which she called a chicken), one of a dog, a flower and a fish. She also had him look in her eyes she had a hard time following directions there, like looking at the spot where she was suppose to. She looked at some books with some 3d glasses and had to find the object that was coming off the page. Also she had to trace some numbers. All in all she did well. Dr. Mackenzie said she is a little far sighted but not to be concerned yet, if she is still as far sighted next year as she is now it may be difficult for her to learn to read as it may give her headaches. So till next year we are done with the eye doctor.

September Colds

Well school has been back in for all of a weekish. Taylor woke up with a cold on Sunday and Fabian went to bed with one last night. Tonight he is really suffering or maybe it is me that is suffering I have been doing well with going to bed early but tonight it is virtually impossible to sleep considering he is so stuffed up so I think I may need to sleep on the couch. YAY me. Eastynn has also been very grumpy lately I think it is from her needles but I also heard her coughing a little bit tonight so hopefully she is not getting sick. I on the other hand am good except for a slight headache for the last 3 days. Hopefully everything will get back to normally soon.

Swimming

Today we all got up early or I guess I got up early everyone else got up at there regular times. We drove daddy to work then came home and did our chores and then went to the pool. The wave pool is still closed but we stayed in the kiddie pool and for once Taylor and Eastynn wanted to go before me I was fine relaxing in the tot pool. We went and did some grocery shopping and then came home. Eastynn had a little meltdown before I made lunch I think she was tired so I put her to bed.
Taylor has been addicted to her vtech smile lately she plays it a lot and it is educational so I don't mind much. So this afternoon has been quite so far.

Eastynn's Needles

I took Eastynn for her 18 month needles today even though she is 20.5 months old. I totally had forgotten about these ones.
She did awesome. The lady stuck the first one and Eastynn let out a little whine but then the nurse and I clapped and said yay. The second one stung a little more but she still cried less than 5 seconds I would think it was to cute.
Her stats though are she is 30.5" long and her weight is 22lbs. She is between the 10th-25th percentile for both and always has been so she said that is good.
So even though she is not 24 months yet they say if you take the childs height and times it by 2 that is what there height will be as an adult so she will be about 5'0" she will be taking after a few special loved ones in that department, grandma Mellor, auntie Brooklynn, and auntie Velvet oh well 3 great ladies. Taylor I believe is suppose to be a mere 5'5" I thought she would be close to 6'0". But thank goodness and hopefully that is correct for Taylor's sake.
Also at her doctors appointment once again I got in trouble for Eastynn not drinking milk. She said I need to get her to drinking 2 cups of milk a day. Ya right. Her juice in take is suppose to go from about 1 liter to 1/4 cup. I think the lady might have been on glue. She made a comment you wouldn't let her ride a bike without a helmet. I said Its juice. Anyway I am going to try and cut her back on the juice and see if I can some how get some milk in her I have no idea how though.

Taylor First Day Back At Playschool

Today was Taylor's first day of playschool again. She was soooo excited. The minute she woke up she came into my room and asked me if it was time to go school. She ate her breakfast, got dressed and got her hair done. She had us out the door at 7:35. To drop daddy of at work so we could get her to school we ended up dropping Fabian off at like 7:50 and she didn't start school till 8:30. So we went to Timmy's before school and then we dropped her off at school.

MY FAVORITE PAINTING

Tonight I got my new favorite painting. By a beautiful a talented young artist you may or may not know Miss Tara Chisholm, my cousin and Taylor's godmother. I gave her a picture of a painting that I liked from another favorite artist of mine and asked her to make the little girls look more like my little girls and she did a good job. The painting was a small fee of $50 with proceeds going to cancer. Not only is she beautiful and talented but she has a big heart. Got to love her. Thanks Tara.

Worse Before Better.

So today was the first day of Taylor and Eastynn getting dispilned for there bad behavior. What a long day. Taylor so far has had 3 time outs. But the plan is a time out for whining and time outs for not listening. So basically if she doesn't do what I say she isn't listening. She gets 15 minutes at supper and lunch to eat and if she doesn't she is free to go if she does eat then she gets a treat. I also started setting the timer when it comes time for clean up. I am not focusing on the toy room as of now but they have 15 minutes to pick up there toys if its not done those toys go away and they can either earn them back with good behavior or by eating and at the end of the week I will give them back. Who knows how that will work.
Someone told me it will get worse before it gets better and wow were they right. I hope it all works out because her attitude and whining are getting a little extreme.

Swimming Fun

Last night we went swimming it was pretty fun considering the wave pool was half drained and unusable. Taylor was so funny she yelled as soon as we got the pool shrunk. And Eastynn was equally cute. She was in the tot pool and plugged her nose and tried to go under the water it was so funny.

Skye's Birthday

This Saturday we went to Skye's first birthday. Eastynn and I met Skye and her mommy at babyfit classes in the winter/spring. Eastynn really enjoys hanging out with her swimming friends.
The girls had so so so much fun at Skye's birthday. Skye had a HUGE backyard with a little swimming pool, a little swing set, and a little playhouse. It made me really jealous I really wish we had a back yard or any yard for that matter.

Juliana's Birthday Party

Taylor was invited to a birthday party on Aug 17th. Yep that's bad that I am this far behind but couldn't find the cord to upload pics and that is my excuse and I am sticking to it.
I think she had fun at the party, she was probably the youngest at the party and apparently felt left out at times but she will survive. She still plays with the Juliana, so I guess it wasn't that bad.

Taylor's Swimming Lessons All Done :(

So Friday was Taylor's lessons are all done. She did pass though. Both her and I are sad it is over it was a nice little get out in the morning. I wish we had more stuff like that to do.
Anyway she passed she got a little book with a sea-turtle sticker. She is very proud of herself and so is her mommy. I can't wait till the next one or till soccer or gymnastics haven't decided what to put her in yet.

Swimming Lessons

Taylor also started swimming lessons on Tuesday the first 2 days were great they played around maybe went under the water a couple times that was it. Then day 3 all went out the door when they put Taylor in a life jacket and made her go in the deep end. I seen it coming a mile away. As soon as they put on a life jacket I knew she was going to have a fit, little did I realize it would carry on for 40 minutes well after the class was over. Friday was bad she was still traumatized from the day before. But as soon as Tuesday class she was GREAT I think cause grandma and grandpa Mellor came and watched. That totally made her day. She did so great I was really proud of her and today she did even better. I was getting scared that she was going to be scared of the water.
