Kids at the wedding

I am not sure I have seen so many kids at a wedding before I think the head count was around 65.
Lots of bubbles there and a ton of kids running around prior to the dance. Nearly got taken out by tots a few times those little ones can be fast. I obviously got mostly pictures of my kids.

The Wedding Dance

The Dance was a lot of fun. I only danced a few dance mostly with my girls and unless I actually picked Taylor up she would spin around so fast she'd make me dizzy. It may have been one of my favorite moments as a mom with Taylor though. She would just look at me in awe as I would sing to her made my heart melt.
Brooklynn of course looked beautiful when she danced with both Calvin and her dad. Calvin looked very handsome as well.
It made me smile to see both Brooklynn dance with her dad and Taylor dancing with Fabian, made me miss my dad but we had many many dances that we shared
I left the wedding pretty early took the girls back to the camper which was basically across the parking lot pretty convenient. So I think we missed the garter toss and the bouquet toss so no pictures of that.

Supper at Wedding

Shortly after the wedding we had supper which was good. I think from what I heard there was a 235lbs pig and 10 turkeys. Brooklynn's parents own a turkey farm. So here are some pictures of the supper mostly of Luke who didn't have the supper.

Wedding Pictures

Here are a few pictures from the church where they had some of the wedding photos done.
I got more pictures of Eastynn cause Taylor was on the bus with the rest of the wedding party.
Also some pictures of the wedding I didn't get to take any as I was video taping but Lois was also taking pictures so these are the one she took (a lot of these pictures are the ones Lois took.)

Getting Ready for the Wedding

On Saturday morning Grandma Huber, Taylor, Eastynn, and I all had to go get our hair done. It was amazing as we went at 9 and she did all of our hair in 2 hours. The hair dresser was very fast and efficent. We got back I packed up everything so we could camp after the wedding. We got all are dresses on and headed out for pictures. Had to do an extra post just to get in as many photos as possible.
I love all these photos especially the one with Taylor and Pebbles

The Park -Friday

On Friday before we went to Cal and Brook's we went to the park.
Taylor was delighted as all of "the kids" were there. I guess her cousins or 2nd cousins. She had a blast even though we didn't get to stay to long it was a pretty quick trip to the park but she liked it and was very mad when we had to leave to go to Cal and Brook's she didn't realize the kids were coming with plus all the kids from the rehersal would be there too.
Little Lindy loved the swing and I couldn't resist taking some pictures of her.

Rehersal for Calvin and Brooklynn's wedding

On Friday we went to the hall to decorate and have the rehearsal.
There was lots of kids so the girls had a great time playing. I didn't do much to help decorate but did what I could.
Then we had the rehearsal and it was pretty good went off without any hitches. It was so great that Brooklynn asked Taylor last minute to be a flower girl since she already had the same dress as the other flower girl. It worked out well. We were all surprised happy and honored that she could be part of the wedding. We decided since we were almost certain that Brian sadly couldn't be at the wedding that it needed to be video taped. Calvin was going to buy a video camera, but we had bought them one as a wedding gift so we had to tell them what we had gotten them although I think Brooklynn knew. So that was my job at the wedding.
After we went to Calvin and Brooklynn's just for a get together, we took Luke home with us. Which was nice I got to spend a little more time with him but he was still so sick so Grandma didn't get a lot of sleep.

Thursday in Sask

Thursday was a pretty quite day didn't do much.
Auntie Sylvia came out and played with the girls all afternoon the had a picnic outside played puppies.
While I made everyone some supper. I don't get to cook for them very often and Grandma was busy making the wedding cake, answering phone calls and worrying about papa.
It was a nice quite day.
Both girls started getting a little bit of a cold that day.

Wednesday our trip to Sask

On Wednesday we headed out to Sask.
As usual it was a long trip but this time we didn't watch the same movies over and over again.
We got to stop in Regina and see Papa Huber. He was happy to see us and looked very good considering I think it was week 3 of being in the hospital. Eastynn had just fallen asleep right as we pulled in to Regina so she didn't get to visit, but Taylor had a good visit with Papa she gave him a big (unprompted) hug which was nice and took papa by surprise. The visit was short but nice.
We then headed to Stockholm visited with Grandma for just a short while and then we all headed out Calvin and Brooklynn's shop. Got to hang with my little nephew poor little guy was so sick. Then we headed home and went to bed.

The Fair

Friday was the one day we went to the fair this year. We went out and got a few things before we went out like bottled water. A bottle of water was $3 at the fair we got some kids bottles of water at Walmart and they are awesome have nice little sippy like tops which is great. Then we had some lunch with Grandma.
We got to the grounds at about 1:20 and probably for the first half hour Eastynn screamed and stomped around cause I wouldn't carry her and she didn't wanna sit in the wagon it was about 37 degrees so noway am I carrying her around all day. So I told Taylor to go a ride and when I put Eastynn down she freaked right out so I took her off, then when the ride started Eastynn freaked out cause she didn't get to go on. Finally she calmed down enough to go on a ride, but the seat was to hot so she cried again. It was fun, haha. Then she cried cause I don't think she quite got it and was very uncertain, that's when Taylor screamed at the carney to stop the ride (she was sticking up for Eastynn I was proud). Then when the ride was done she cried cause she had to get off. This happened on EVERY SINGLE RIDE. Her favorite ride was the fishy one just like Taylor at that age.
The was also the "rides" that you walk through and up Taylor and Eastynn would go and then on every one of them Eastynn would just stand up at the top and not go down the slide she wasn't upset she was just content hanging out at the top. At about 4 she fell asleep for about an hour. But all and all Eastynn had a great time.
Taylor had a blast this year was perfect for her. She was exactly 42" so she could go on all the kiddie rides but was able to get on almost all the adult rides as well. Like I said she went on a few rides with her sister. She went on a few by herself a lot with her, Eastynn, and little Brooklynne. Some with just Brooklynne. She was able to go on the big slide by herself this year which is nice cause I don't like all those stairs or being up that high. We went on the bumper cars a couple times. We went on this ride that you lay down as if your superman.
Once Fabian got there we went and took a break from the rides and had some supper. After supper was nice Fabian hung out with Eastynn taking her on some rides. While Becky, Brooklynne, Taylor and I went on rides. We went on the haunted house so not scary but loud enough to scare Taylor with her sensitive hearing. Then we went on the tilt a whirl the best time I ever had on the tilt a whirl watch the 2 girls laugh so hard, we did it 3 times in total. We actually went on the spider too, I wasn't sure Taylor would like it as I find it scary too, but she loved it. I got to go on the spider 3 times too, once with Becky which was awesome cause we spun pretty good and Taylor and I went on twice. We also went on a ride called moonbeam or moon drop. It takes you to the top then drops you and then it raises you and drops you. I HATED that ride mostly cause I am scared of heights and the reason I am scared of heights is cause I am scared of falling. So not the best ride for me although I couldn't help but laugh the entire time and Taylor was having such a great time she was laugh so hard she was drooling. Taylor too had her little break downs but over all was good she cried every time we walked passed a place with snow cones but called them ice cream and any of the fishing games.
After we were done the rides we went to the petting zoo which the girls always want to do but Taylor usually gets so scared its not worth going. They did enjoy it this year and Taylor only got scared once when she was walking and looking at a sheep and turned around and there was a goat right in her face, she screamed so loud that everyone at the petting zoo thought she had been hurt. She did however get over it quite quickly. Then we left but I promised Taylor and ice cream so we went to DQ. After that it was home, bath, and bed and to bed without a problem.

Last Few Days

The last couple days have been a little different around here. We have been trying to play the girls out by letting them go outside and play in the pool for hours, it seems to be working instead of going to bed at 11-12 they are going to bed around 9-10. Still not where we want them but soon we will be there. We are also trying to bribe them by telling them if they clean they will get a slush and that seems to work as well. So the girls are slowly getting back on track and hopefully when we go to Sask. we can keep them on the schedule. I will soon charge up the camera and post more pics from soccer and from Elkwater.
Also next week is stampede so that will be good times

A Tough Week

I haven't been posting much I apologize.
First I had nationals and then I came home and my dad was really sick and finally lost his battle with cancer. So needless to say I have been busy.
So have the girls they have been so busy and not sleeping well at all lately which is fine they have had a lot on there plates as well. I have still not been able to tell Taylor in away she will be able to comprehend that papa Mellor is gone forever. It will come soon I am sure. The other day I told her when we went to prayers that we were going to say good bye to papa. She asked me when we got there "where is papa." It broke my heart. My mom tried to tell her and she was pretty upset, but quickly got over it and asked grandma to go downstairs and play. The biggest thing that upsets me is my girls will never get to know the man I loved so dearly.
I will try and post a little more often I am sorry.

June Vacation In Saskatchewan

It has been a while since the last posting. Nikki got the chance to go to nationals again this year for darts. This year it was in Quebec, which was a lot better than last year when it was in Winnipeg. While Nikki was in Quebec, the kids and I went to Saskatchewan to my parents house. We were there for about ten days, which was nice. The kids got a lot of Grandma and Grandpa Huber time, which by the end I think my mom was fairly exhausted from. When we got there, we went camping down at the Round Lake for the weekend, and then stayed at my parents house in Stockholm for the rest of the time there. Taylor got to go fishing in papa's boat which she always enjoys. The kids also got to go to my future sister-in-laws bridal shower, which was fun for them as well. Other then that, did not do a whole lot. Went to the park a bit and relaxed around the house which was nice. That is all for now. Will try to post more as things come about.

Oh My The Chaos

As always I am hoping for things to get better in the near future. The kids sleep schedule back on track. Right now we are just hoping for 9pm we have a huge summer full of lots of events, Grandma and Grandpa Huber's for 10 days, Stampede week, Aug long (with Cal and Brook's wedding and Taylor's birthday), 2 sessions of swimming lessons. So once we get back from Sask in Aug. we will make bedtime 8:30 and then obviously 8:00 again before school starts.
Speaking of school I transfered Taylor from St. Micheal's school to Mother Theresa's school. Its going to be great because they have a preschool there as well. So once Eastynn turns 3 she can go there as well, she also needs to be potty trained which I can't foresee being much longer.
The girls have been really cranky lately so hopefully putting them back on a sleep schedule will help us and my happy fun girls will be back and hopefully they will start listening soon too. I know not likely but here's hoping.

Cute Story

I had a really really bad headache to me so I was getting Taylor to help Eastynn to put on a pull-up. They were chatting and I was listening Taylor said everyone is the exact same except for black people.
Yikes I perked up a little to see where this was going and some how the conversation got diverted.
So I asked her why are black people different and she said cause they are angels. It made my heart melt.

Eastynn

Eastynn I think is getting close to wanting to be potty trained but it depends on her mood. One day she will tell you ever time she pees but no matter weather she pees or poops its always poop. I pooped she says. She is now taking off her diaper ALL the time. Which is quite the surprise, yesterday she went to bed in our bed and when Fabian went to move her was surprised when our bed was covered in pee. Today she peed all over the bathroom floor while we tried to get her to put her diaper back on but she was having a meltdown. Hopefully soon she will be trained but I think we need to cut back her fluid intake a lot which with her temper is going to be rough.
She is so much fun though talking up a storm and starting to eat a lot better lately while her sister is developing a ton of food aversions.

Taylor

Taylor has been busy as usual with soccer and playing and school.
Monday she had soccer and she was so happy that Auntie Chris, Uncle Jason and Grandma made it out to her game its hilarious. When you say "go Taylor" to motivate her on the field she gives you one of 2 responses a very annoyed "I AM!!" or stops dead and says"WHAT?" its too funny.
Today she got to celebrate her birthday at school she took in timbits and juice boxes. She thought it was the best that the entire class sang Happy Birthday to her. But is very confused and now thinks her birthday will be any day now.
She also go to have a surprise play date with "little" Brook today they usual have a great time with one little spat in there somewhere. They played hard and painted there nails it was fun for them and nice for me to be able to visit with Becky we don't see each other nearly enough although after today we will see more of them they said its literally a 2 minute walk from her house to ours.

Another Birthday Party

On Saturday we went to another birthday party for Skylar. I met his mom the night of the cancer shoot, and we get along really well.
The girls really had a fun time they got a very big goodie bag if you can even call it that. They played with most of it the entire time. Skylar turned 1 and the girls really enjoyed babying him not sure he felt the same way. It was really nice to hang out with some new people. We had a great time and I am sure we made some friends that we will be making memories with for a long time. I didn't get many pictures at the birthday and haven't uploaded the ones I did, I will soon.

Relay For Life

This year the Relay For Life was a little different than in previous years for obvious reasons.
This year I joined Fabian for the survivor supper, we shared our supper with the girls although it was really small. My mom and dad were also there and Auntie Cindy. It was pretty nice.
After was the survivor lap which is pretty inspirational. Obviously hard to watch some people there no one ever wants to see anyone in there family there but also very hard to see children in there.
This year there was the Chisholm/Sehn team in memory of Stephanie.
Also this year a team from Fox Valley for my mom's cousin Larry and the tents were side by side. So an enormous amount of family there it was really nice.
We stayed till about 11pm and then left, the girls were so so tired.
