Sunday With Luke

Here a just a few pictures of our visit on Sunday with Baby Luke. Taylor loves him and wants to take care of him all the time. Eastynn could really careless and doesn't like it much at all if mommy or daddy is holding them. But Auntie Nikki totally loves him all to bits.

Eastynn and Lois' Birthday in Sask

Today we had a little birthday for Eastynn and Grandma Huber best friend Lois. Taylor made Lois a birthday card in the shape of a heart Lois loved it. Lois bought Eastynn a baby doll. Grandma bought Eastynn a Pooh game and lots of clothes. We had some pizza, ribs, and ceaser salad for lunch. After Lunch we had some cake (a pooh cake). Eastynn actual was able to blow out the candles it was very cute. It was Luke's very first Huber birthday party with many more to come.

Decorating Grandma and Grandpa Huber's Tree

When we got out here the first thing Taylor noticed that the tree was not set up and she told Auntie Janet and Lois that Grandma didn't have her tree u. So they teased Grandma all day and told Taylor to MAKE SURE that grandma put up the tree. They did seem to have a very good time doing so. It didn't seem to take as long as it did when we put up the tree.

Weekend in Sask...so far

So yesterday we decided to come to Sask. it is such a long drive but within minutes of getting here it is all worth it. We get to leave all our worries behind us at home. The girls absolutely love being here and also its also like a break for me and Fabian as Grandma and Grandpa Huber keep them very occupied when we are here.
We came out here in hopes to surprise Auntie Brooklynn and baby Luke for their baby shower. I am still not sure we pulled it off apparently I had a slip here and there but oh well, I got to see my gorgeous new nephew he is prefect in every way. A lot of other people seem to think the same way he got so spoiled.
We are suppose to see them again tomorrow and hopefully we can go see them at there place in Regina on Monday for awhile.

What A Huge Difference In Only One Day

Yesterday I decided that, after being told from numerous people, I needed to cut back the girls liquid in take. After lots of research I found out 2 cups of milk a day and 2 cups of juice a day is really all that someone her age should be drinking. So we are only giving them juice and milk during meals and snacks, we offer them water during the rest of the day but they don't really drink it. I changed Eastynn's diaper and that is when I noticed the difference not only is her diaper not hanging down to her knees but her tummy wasn't sticking out like a little beer belly. And the biggest difference of all was today at lunch my little munchkin ate like a champ. So hopefully the lack of juice and milk will help her put on a few extra pounds. I tried on these little skirts Uncle Jay bought for her for Christmas last year and one was 9-12 and the other 2 were 12-18 she still doesn't even fit into the 9-12 month one and she will be 2 in less than a month. So I am hoping this will be the start of my little one putting on the pounds.

Taylor's Speech

Today was Taylor's second day at speech she did fantastic. Her speech therapist says she is suppose to have 8 sessions and might not even need 8 session I am so proud of her. She is doing so well she can say everything almost perfectly for her F sounds anyway it was like a totally different girl in there. Everyone should start to notice a big difference soon.

Christmas Tree

On Monday we finally bought our own Christmas tree and our own ornaments. Don't get me wrong I love the ornaments I grew up with but honestly I like them at my mom and dads place, that's where my childhood memories belong in the house i grew up in. I really hope we are giving the girls some fun childhood memories especially at this time of year.

So we set the tree up on Monday when we got it man it makes our house look itty bitty tiny, but its worth it. The tree its self was $180 but it is pre lit so no fooling around with lights ever year. Yippee I remember waiting for mom and dad to get them just perfect and now they just are. The tree also has a remote the lights can be colored, just white or both together I like the just white but Taylor likes the colors. The ornaments are basically the same colors as our wedding but instead of white and blue its silver and blue very pretty. We let the girls do most of the decorations so if the pics look funny its not my fault.

The girls have been a lot of fun lately Taylor is big time into Christmas the night we put up the tree, she woke up about 3am and came and asked me why Santa hadn't come yet. I was thinking we put it up to early maybe but oh well, it is the best time of year why not extend it a little.
Eastynn is starting to actually do a lot more talking and a little less babbling or maybe I am just able to pick it up now. The other day in the tub she grabs my finger and looked at me and said "Aww your cute." She says that lots now. She seems a lot happier now that we can pick up what she is saying now. I also think she is ready for potty training although I am not yet so we'll leave it for a bit she still has some pretty heavy diapers after naps but other than that she is ready

That's all for now.

Taylor's First Day At Speech

So yesterday was Taylor's first day at speech. She did really well mommy is so so proud of her.
We got there and she played very well in the waiting room she loved all the toys especially the shishy (fishy). I also saw the pamphlet that Taylor was on the front of there. I showed her and told her it was her but she never believed me.
Once we got in there it was pretty emotional for mommy I think Taylor was fine though. I was getting upset that she wouldn't give my baby a break she was being so so persistant I thought Taylor would feel bad cause she couldn't get it and her being as sensitive as she is I could see it. Then out of the blue she'd get it and then I wanted to cry cause I was so proud of her.
She was very proud of herself and she has been saying her f sounding words lots. She is very gun ho about it all, which is awesome cause then she will be easier to understand and I think she'll be more confident.

Yesterday I also had a dentist appointment just to get my mouthguard for my grinding/clenching I wore it last night without to much trouble I do hope it gets easier though. I also hope it works good so that we can save money on Tylenol.

More Swimming Fun

This weekend was fun fun fun.
On Friday Fabian wasn't feeling to good and apparently neither was Pebbles, Pebbles even got the flu weird, she was throwing up. That part wasn't so much fun.
Saturday morning I got up and went and picked up my dad from the hospital he was out on a day pass. So after I got him we went and visited with my mom and took her to work and then we went to play darts. Yes he did. It was zones and dad felt it necessary to go and play. Good thing he did I think every year that he has played zones this was his best day. He played well. I was still playing when he was all done so Joe took him back to the hospital. I finished third for the day but second over all.
When I got home Fabian was feeling pretty rough so I took the girls to the pool at like 6ish and we came home around 8:30 the girls had a lot of fun even though I made them stay in the kiddie pool the whole time.
Sunday was good too. When Eastynn went down for her nap. Taylor, grandma, and I went to visit papa in the hospital. After that we came home and had some supper and went to the pool we met Tara and Nolan there. Tara wanted to spend a little time with her god-daughter while she was down on the weekend and I am glad she did Taylor really had fun with her. Although both the girls were a little unsure of Nolan. We also met Fabian's friend Jeff there he has his niece for the weekend. Taylor enjoyed playing with them as well. Taylor at one point wanted a life jacket and she does know she can float but still doesn't like to be where she can't touch. But it was a little different at the pool this time although she still wouldn't jump in she did try swimming where she couldn't touch and she finally trusted the life jacket a very very big step for her and mommy couldn't be prouder. After swimming Taylor got to go have a sleepover at Grandma's she was so excited for that. Anyway that is the news from our weekend.
On another note papa is FINALLY getting out of the hospital today. Just waiting for the phone call so I can go pick him up. Sadly though we have to give back there car it was so very nice to have 2 vehicles a lot more freedom.

Update on Grandpa

I just talked to my dad and here is the update.
He doesn't think he will be getting out today but he thinks he will get a day pass for tomorrow.
As far as the spot on his lung goes they are going to forgo the lung biopsy for the time being and do another chest xray and cat scan in 6 months if the spot if any bigger then they will look into it. To me this is a good sign (mom was concerned) but if they are willing to leave it they must not be terribly concerned at the moment.
Now as for his heart. They are going to do a stress test (Cardio stress test is commonly meant to check the condition of heart and it is done on heart patients and others suspecting the disease to see effect of stress on heart due to exercises.) Then they are also sending him to Calgary for a angiogram. An angiogram is an X-ray test that uses a special dye and camera (fluoroscopy) to take pictures of the blood flow in an artery (such as the aorta) or a vein (such as the vena cava).

He is on 4W in room 240 if anyone would like to visit.

Not The Best Week.

So Taylor was sick on Sunday. Eastynn was sick on Monday although she still has the runs. Then Tuesday my dad was having chest pains so he went to the hospital. They did some blood work, a chest xray, and also a CAT scan. The did unfortunately find a spot on his lung, we are now awaiting a lung biopsy. We think the spot maybe a blood clot or it could be a scar tissue from when they used paddles on him to restart his heart in 2003. He is in good spirits though, he does I think have a slight flu, he got sick yesterday. Now today both my mom and are sick her more so than me although she has ate more than I have so who knows. I am trying to move slow and as little as possible. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow as I have another dentist appointment in the afternoon.
That's all for now.

Day At The Dentist

Today was another day at the dentist. Mine was really quite painful considering I haven't been for a teeth cleaning for about 3 years. There was a lot of build up but nothing that would have long term effects. Fabian also had a lot of build up but not as much as me. We were commended on our choice of tooth brush and so we should be it was expensive. With my tooth ache on the weekend I went and bought some dental floss and mouthwash which we were also commended on. Taylor LOVED getting her teeth cleaned, I think she was more excited about the treasure chest at the end she did so so well and she didn't have a whole lot of build up thank goodness I wouldn't want her to deal with the poking and prodding I had today. So I took the initiative to go and buy some stuff to take better care of our mouths. So now our bathroom has a pre-rinse for whitening our teeth, some toothpastes, another rinse for after brushing and a thing called a humming bird that is a electric dental floss thing. I got Taylor the pre-rinse that shows if you have plaque on your teeth and got the girls both new toothbrushes that sing until it is time to stop brushing. I refuse to go through the pain I did today and I refuse to ever have the girls go through that pain. Time to start paying more attention to our teeth. Tomorrow is Grandma Mellor's turn at the dentist not sure what she is having done but I think it is a lot of work whatever it maybe. Then I am back on Friday to have my other cavities filled and to have my impressions taken for a mouth guard. Then once I get my mouth guard I am done until our next cleaning in May.

On another note Eastynn had gotten sick in her bed over night poor thing. Today she had diarrhea. But Taylor was in much better spirits although I am not confident that she should be going back to school yet so I will keep her home for at least tomorrow.

A pretty boring blog sorry.

Weird Weekend

Well this was a weird weekend. I am still not feeling very good this cold or sinus infection is really annoying me. It even gave me a toothache for 2 days. I am trying really hard to get healthy. I went to bed really really early last night.

As for Taylor she was suppose to have dance lessons yesterday but she didn't they were suppose to have a recital that no one told us about, must of happened while we were in Regina. I was very disappointed. So she had an oppertunity to go dance today. Taylor woke up so early this morning like 4:30 am I think. It was a good thing I went to bed early the night before. So this morning they went to Super Store to get Taylor some pants for dance that are easier to move in than the ones we have and as they were leaving Taylor got sick. She has got sick plenty of times today and hasn't ate a whole lot. So needless to say Taylor once again didn't make her dance recital. I am very sad about that she really love dance and I am sad I didn't get to see her do something that she likes so much.

We are hoping no one catches my cold or Taylor's flu but I still think we need to postpone our trip to see Calvin, Brooklynn and Luke till the end of the month I am not going to chance getting the little man sick. Fabian has a little bit of a cold but nothing like what I had so not even sure he has got it yet. I think it is the side effects from the flu shot he is dealing with. Eastynn is grumpy but I think that is just Eastynn being Eastynn.

Today was also the day we were suppose to get our swim pass, at the trade shows they have a sale on swim passes 25% off which is a good deal when you are getting a 6 month pass. Last time we got a 6 month pass it was a family pass after about 3 month I looked into it a little further and noticed it would have been cheaper had we got individual passes cause Eastynn still doesn't need one and that would have saved us over $100. I was kind of mad when I found that out. So the last time we bought it right at the leisure center and I phoned today and they told us we needed to get it from the leisure center which they said was open till 5pm. So Fabian rushed there cause it was after 4pm already he got there and they closed at 5pm. I made him go to the leisure center and tell them they said we had till 5pm to get them and it was closed so we wanted the same deal. They did which is a good thing cause I was going to email them and say that are not very helpful. The ladies there are always more than pleasant the lifeguards and the facilites are great but they don't let you know about upcoming deals and big savings which I think they should especially when you spend over $300 there every 6 months. Anyway just needed to vent a little.

Halloween!!

Today was a LONG day.
We got up this morning and well by the time I got up at 8am Taylor was already in her costume. So we drove daddy to work. Came home mommy had a shower and got ready while the girls watched cartoons, then we got Eastynn in her Pooh costume. Taylor had a party at playschool at 9:45 so we went there. The kids sand some songs and then they had some edible crafts which she seemed to take forever to eat. Once we left there we went to Grandma's for a bit then we went out did some banking and a little running around. Then we went and seen Auntie Heather and Auntie Pam, the girls really seemed to enjoy that. After that it was lunch time. We went to the mall and had some lunch then did a little shopping and then headed back to Grandmas, where I had a little nap and the girls played with Grandma. Then daddy was off work so we went to pick him up and you guessed it go trick or treating. First we stopped off at Grandma Chisholm's then Auntie Velvet's. We had some stuff in the car for Kingston so then we headed to Josh and Rai-Lyn's they were going to head to Jerimy's then Cindy and Kirby's but no one was home so we skipped them. Then we went to Uncle Daniel and Auntie Linda's. There was no one home (or there appeared to be no one home when we drove by Uncle Colin and Auntie Chris'). Then we went back up to Grandma's and went to a few of the neighbor's houses. After that we headed to the mall to meet Auntie Becky and Brooklynne the girls had the entire mall done in about 45 minutes which was awesome cause Eastynn was getting tired. We stopped and picked up some supper and came home (so I am very sorry Auntie Chris and Uncle Colin). Taylor and daddy went just around the house once we got back. Then it was bath time and bed time. Thank goodness it was a long day.
