Grade 1.

Today was our first day of grade 1. It started out great till it was time to go to school, then we couldn't find shoes and keys. We held it together and we made it on time I would have like a little more time to spend with her this morning at the school but what can you do. I forgot that during summer vacation she kept Eastynn well entertained Eastynn is very bored. I on the other hand have got so much done in such a little amount of time.

Swimming Lessons

So swimming is finished a both girls passed.

Taylor did good, once in awhile she had issues listening. Mostly she had troubles with her goggles. She doesn't like them to suction to her eye then she would get water in her goggles a no win situation. She does really well on her back and is doing a little bit better on her tummy now.

Eastynn well what can I say about Eastynn she can easily do everything she is asked....if Eastynn wants too. She did great her first week, the second week was hard she didn't want to do anything on a couple days. We fought really hard to make her cooperate but she just wouldn't. The instructor said its only cause of the first week that she passed.

Nonetheless she passed.

Swimming Lessons Begin

Today was the first day of swimming lessons.

Eastynn really surprised me, it was her first non parented class and she did amazing. She probably did the best of all the kids and considering her nature I was surprised she even got in the water. She impressed me the entire half hour.

Taylor also started lessons today she struggled a little more than Eastynn but that is to be expected with how much more advanced her class is. She will pull through though she is a determined little girl. She just needs to listen to her teacher....and grandma.....and mom and she will do just fine.

Weekend in Sask

We just got back from a great weekend in Sask.
We camped with the Troberts and the Thompson's. Taylor and Eastynn had a blast.
Taylor had a little birthday so did Justin (one of the Trobert boys).
Also Calvin and Brooklynn's little guy actually came before we left. When Luke was born he came the day after we left. Reid Came on Saturday and he even came down to the lake on Sunday to meet everyone before they left. We got to spend some good quality time with Luke and he wasn't as shy as usual so it was fun.

Taylor's 6th Birthday

I can't believe Taylor is 6.
She woke up in the morning and asked me how many more sleeps till my special day. I said none its today and said Happy birthday baby. She smiled so big.
We got out of bed came down stairs and made pancakes. After breakfast we went to Grandma Mellor's and she gave both girls a nice little dresses. Then Grandma bought us some little ceasers pizza and we came back to the house and ate it and Taylor got her big present which was a pool. All the girls went shopping while dad tried to set up the pool. We bought the rest of Taylor's school supplies and a cover for the pool. When we got home we decided it was in a bad place so all Fabian's work was for nothing. So we moved it all and started setting it up AGAIN. Taylor was being so impatient and I do not blame her at all. So we had supper and got back in the car and went shopping again. Taylor bought some new bathing suits with her gift card from Grandma Huber. Grandma Mellor also bought Taylor a pair of roller blades that convert to ice skates, we also got Eastynn a pair. The girls absolutely love the skates have been skating on the carpet all dad I think good practice for now.

Stampede Week

Its stampede week again. I am so pooped. Yesterday we went to the parade we had to get up earlier than we are use to, but that's okay the girls really enjoyed it. After the parade we went to a charity barbeque for a 18 month old girls family. The little girl died in the care of a day home worker a horrible tragedy and we thought the family could use some help. The rest of the day we kind of just hung out saving our energy for the fair. Fabian and the girls went to the park after supper.

The fair was much much more fun. We went and picked up Willow and her mom. Spent a good portion of the day with them. Unfortunately Taylor couldn't ride on most of the rides that Eastynn and Willow could go on and the ones they could all go on were a little to fast for Willow's liking. Eastynn still enjoyed those faster rides though.

Once we got to hot and the girls a little cranky we decided to head over to the petting zoo. Taylor has always got a little freaked out at the petting zoo but Eastynn has never really had a chance to be involved at a petting zoo till this year and she LOVED it. I was so impressed Taylor was still really hesitant and scared. I guess not really her thing.

Not to long after the petting zoo we met up with Little Brooklynne. So her and Taylor went on the tilt-a-whirl with Becky and some of the little houses with slides like the mirror house. I took Eastynn on some other rides but they really like the houses and rides with slides. Then after Becky and Brooklynne went to eat Fabian showed up to take over with Eastynn so I could ride with Taylor we went to go on a ride and the neighbors grand-daughter asked her to go on some rides so Taylor had lots of fun with plenty of friends. Eastynn had a blast though as well.

We finally left the fair grounds came home and hurried to get the girls fed and bathed cause after all the excitement they had there first sleepover as well. Eastynn was super grumpy before she left once she got there she was fine. Apparently they all fell asleep just after 10. I am hoping we don't get a phone call tonight to pick them up if we do oh well.

Boring Summer

There hasn't been much going on this summer.
A few play dates to Willow's. One night the Troberts stopped over in Medicine Hat and the kids played and played well so it should be nice when we go to Sask next month and they can play.
They are going swimming tomorrow. They went swimming a couple days ago too.
Eastynn now has a cold so who knows where the summer will go now.

Sask July Long

We recently went to Sask for July long weekend. The drive is oh so long especially with a uber excited Huber, that Huber being Taylor. She asks so often when will we be at Grandma's when will be at Grandma's.
Well the first night we didn't get there till about 6 and went to Calvin and Brooklynn's. Brooklynn prepared a great BBQ and Calvin BBQed it, it was awesome. The kids played hard and they slept hard but were awoken by the late night/early morning storm.

Friday we woke up and had some bacon and eggs. Then went to the lake for most of the day. Later we went to Grandma and Grandpas for supper we went to the park then to the lake to watch the fireworks. Taylor is still terrified of fireworks, she watched from the car. I gave the girls a quick bath then we headed to bed while the boys had some drinks. Again the storm scared Taylor a lot.

Saturday I woke up in severe pain I couldn't move very good had a kink in my neck. It passed soon enough though and was okay. When we got up there was some kids there for the girls to play with Bailey and Taryn. Then we had some pancakes. We slowly slowly got ready for the day but first had a little nap. Spent from about 3-9ish at grandmas place then went to a wedding. Taylor loves weddings.

Sunday we went to grandmas and spent some time there just kind of hung out and then we headed home. This visit was a little different we didn't do much but it didn't feel like we had time to do anything.

Pool Time Soon

Hopefully soon enough we will be buying a pool for the yard. There is not much for us to do around the house. So for the summer I planned to spend mornings at the park. Afternoons in the house especially when the UV index is at the highest point for the day which I think is between 11-4. Then play time in the backyard, in the pool. I found a very nice one that the girls can actually play in its 10' in diameter and 30" deep should be a good time if we can swing it. Till then the late afternoons and after suppers will consist of bike riding.

Summer....So far so good

Well it is only a few days into summer holidays and its been pretty good.
Yesterday morning the girls and I went for a bike ride and went to the park, Taylor has a new favorite park. Then after supper the girls and daddy went to the park and mommy got to go to dinner theater. The theater was fantastic.

Today we went to the water park for a few hours and heard some thunder so we left we were about 4 houses away from home before the rain started and I think by the time we got inside the rain was done. We had Taylor's buddy Willow come out to the water park. Now the girls are at a play date at Willow's

Taylor is getting so much better at riding her bike I think (I hope) by her 6th birthday the training wheels should come off.

Forgot a Very Important Entry FATHER'S DAY

Father's day oh what a day wasn't as great as Mother's day for many reasons.
1. It wasn't about me. haha Just Kidding
2. Me and Fabian stayed up all night with some friends Taylor gave her daddy his present before we had a snooze in the morning. It was beautiful though. He got to sleep a little while the kids watched tv. Sadly mommy wasn't thinking much the night before and was hurting a little. I did however make daddy a special supper we had breakfast for supper. Was very nice but calm day. I did intend to take the family to the driving range but with all the rain there wasn't much we could do cause of all the flooding. I wouldn't want to take the kids to a high class course at this age.
3. I really really missed my dad this year.

The best part of the day was watching the family talk with Grandma and papa Huber on Skype, we also got to talk to Uncle Calvin, Brooklynn, and little Luke they love that and I know Taylor would talk to them everyday if she could.

I would like to apologize for not doing the blog in so long I hope to keep up from now on.

Bike Ride and Park

Tonight after mom had a very long day with the girls dad decided to take them for a bike ride and to the park so I could catch up on the blog. Eastynn is still a little to young to ride that far on such a busy street that we bought a carrier for the bike this time we bought second hand and it was only $10 apposed to the $100 it retails for in the store. She didn't like it at first but now is okay so I am hoping that we can do a ton of biking over the summer I need to lose some weight.

Eastynn's last soccer game

We had Eastynn's last day of soccer which really didn't involve much soccer. They did a few drills then there was a bbq. The kids were given hot dog, chips, and juice, it cost us $2 for the same thing which was fine by us. Me, Fabian, Grandma Mellor and the girls all had supper. Eastynn got her medal and she was done for the day, it was a very long day with Taylor's special day at school too. We also received her pictures from soccer where she doesn't look happy at all.
