Swimming

We have been getting lots of swimming in lately.
The girls really love going to the pool. We usually go on Mondays with Zsuzsanna, Sam and Jessie. Last Friday we went with Susan and Willow. I love allowing the girls to have play dates especially when they are being active in the water, its good for them.

Birthday Parties

I guess we are at that age where birthday parties will take up a lot of weekends.
Taylor went to her friend Sam's birthday. It was at the bowling alley there was a lot of kids there. Eastynn was invited to this one as well they had a blast. Taylor bought Sam a movie pass and a activity book for her birthday. The kids were so lucky they got Zhu Zhu pets in their goody bags. It was awesome they now have a total of 5 Zhu Zhu pets and 1 baby Zhu zhu.
Then a couple weeks ago she was invited to her friend Katalena's birthday party and they were nice enough to invite Eastynn as well. Taylor bought Katalena a zhu zhu pet and a baby zhu zhu and a Dr Seuss book. At the party they had some girls that came to the house to paint all the kids finger nails and toe nails. Again a lot of fun.
Then last Saturday she went to Dakota's birthday. This one was at the bowling alley as well. There was only 4 kids at that party so they got to play a lot. Me and the other 2 moms dropped the kids off and hung out for the afternoon with the little ones. That was awesome for us too. Taylor bought Dakota Toy Story 3 Operation.
Hopefully the birthday parties slow down a little before Christmas. I do however have a great party planned for Eastynn this year I can't wait.

Halloween at Mother Teresa

Today was orange and black day at school. They decided to have orange and black day since dressing up eats up to much time and its all saints day.
The last 40 minutes they had a little party, I sent the kids a little Halloween package so they all liked that.
Then tonight there was a school dance and me and the girls had a blast at that.

No School Monday

On Monday the girls had no school but we had a busy day.
Mommy went to work out and since they have a child care room the girls went there and played with there friends, Sam and Jessie.
Then we went grocery shopping and got stuff to make chili and more pumpkins for the pumpkins I do for them every year.
This year I did a Hello Kitty Witch for Taylor and a Hello Kitty Vampire for Eastynn. It took so long this year was 2 hrs per pumpkin this year.
We had chili it was to spicy for Eastynn but Taylor loved it especially the beans. She says "kidding me beans are my favorite." She really means kidney beans.
Later we went swimming with Sam and Jessie again we love our girls days with Zsuzsanna, Sam and Jessie.

Corn Maze

On Saturday we decided to take a spontaneous day trip, since daddy was working we took Grandma.
It was a long 2 hour drive but well worth it. We went to a corn maze just outside Lethbridge. So we got there did the corn maze. Feed some donkeys. The girls played on the playground. Me and the girls went on the hay ride. And just before leaving the girls went on the cow train. It was a great day.
After we went to Subway for lunch and before leaving for the day we stopped at Toys R Us and the girls each got a Zhu Zhu pet.
It was a great day.

Taylor's First Test

Taylor had her first test this past week. She did great 54/58 (93%). That's a smart little girl. Mommy and Daddy are so proud.

Pumpkin Carving

Tuesday was a busy day but the most important part for the girls was part was carving pumpkins. When I went and picked up Taylor we went to pick out our pumpkins. That was fun. Then once we got home Taylor was eager to get her pumpkin going. So I got supper ready and we looked for some pictures online and then her and dad carved her pumpkin after supper.

Me and Eastynn had a special night at the school. We went there and the speech pathologist did a cute quick little story. Then they did a craft. After that we did a obstacle course. Then a snack and finally we got to carve our pumpkins it was so much fun.

Soon mommy will do the girls a special pumpkin like I have in previous years.

Ballet

The girls have finally started ballet and boy are they cute. Eastynn's class is from 4:00-4:30 and from what I can hear cause we are not allowed to watch the have a whole lot of fun basically dancing and playing games. After class they got a little prize she was so excited for a bouncy ball.
Taylor's class is a lot bigger than Eastynn's and they are actually learning positions and dance moves they also had a lot of fun, no prizes though and she was devastated. Oh well she will be okay. Eastynn said she would share.
I thought when they said parents weren't allowed to watch that we would sit in the van thank god we don't have to do that. They have a play area and a couple tables and sitting areas. So should be a interesting year at dance.

Visit With Grandma and Papa Huber

This pass weekend Grandma and Papa finally came and seen us. Papa's health has made it difficult for them to come out and see us thankfully they made it. The last time Grandma came out was with Auntie Janet for my dad's funeral and I can't remember when it was that papa came out.

The girls were so excited when they got here. I don't think Eastynn has talked that much in ages.

Taylor lost her other tooth the day they came here only 4 days after she lost her first one, daddy pulled that one out for her. So not only did Grandma and papa visit but so did the tooth fairy.

On Saturday we went shopping with Grandma. Papa stayed home and just watched some tv. Grandma got lots of Christmas shopping done and got a few just because items. Taylor was very eager to spend her tooth fairy money. She bought a Zhu Zhu Pet. Cute but a little bit annoying. They are a lot better than having a really hamster. Eastynn had a complete melt down cause she didn't get one too. Wasn't fair to get her one and Taylor used her money from the tooth fairy so grandma got Eastynn one and Taylor a little something else that the girls actually do share.

Sunday I went out shopping and got some Christmas shopping done. Then Grandma and I got to go out by ourselves for just a bit. We visited for a little and then Grandma and Papa took off for Regina.

It was a short visit but a long overdue one, I think the girls do much better when they come here.

We miss you Grandma and Papa thanks for everything.

Taylor's Loose Teeth

Taylor has/had a couple loose teeth. They are the two front bottom teeth. They have been loose for a week or so now. Last night we pulled one out with some dental floss. She really wants the other one pulled but is scared now. She had a visit from the tooth fairy who left her a note and a $5 bill so she was so happy.
I am so excited about school pictures and Christmas pictures having a toothless little girl so cute.

Eastynn and School

Eastynn has had 7 days of school. It took till number 6 for her to have a issue which kind of surprised me. They told me she was having a sharing which is not surprising since she is 3. I am definately not going to sweat it.

I had a talk with her before I took her to school yesterday but when we got there she had a melt down, it broke my heart. She did do fine I talked to her speech therapist and she said Eastynn is doing amazing at school so that made me happy.

With the start of darts last night Eastynn decided she would try and play Grandma by not going to sleep. She was still awake at midnight so I made the call she couldn't go to school last night because the one day she did have issues she was up till 10:30 so I am letting her catch up on sleep today.

Fabian's Appointment

Just a quick update on Fabian, he had his yearly check up on Monday. It all went great. I am so happy for my family reminds me of a cancer poem. although I decided to add a line.

Kids Say The Darndest Things

Taylor has been coming up with some things lately that just make you want to laugh, she gets upset though if you do laugh.

The other day at supper she was telling us how her teacher has a "F U pen" for her daughter. We didn't understand her at all, took us a while and we said what is a "F U pen" for she said in case she is allergic to something. She meant a epi pen. Too Funny.
Also at supper we had cucumber and we had finished a whole one so she went and grabbed another one. She grabbed one and she said oh my god look how big it e all laughed she said really its huge it as big as (then she looked around the room) as as daddy. She is so adorable.

Taylor also occasionally gets a ride to school with her friend Sam. She was telling Sam's mom Zsuzsanna that she has 2 loose teeth. Zsuzanna said where. Apparently Taylor looked at her funny and replied, In my mouth.

Eastynn's Started PreSchool

On Tuesday was Eastynn's first day and was she excited. Boy do I miss having someone with me constantly but soon I will get over it and enjoy it.
I swear her backpack is just as big as her but she is so proud of it. She says my pack pack is princess and the frog and it has pockets.
When she got out of school she told me she got to paint and there was a apple that had her name on it. Also that some kid wouldn't share a toy with her. So sounds like a 3 year old having her ups and downs at school. I think she will love it though.

Grade 1.

Today was our first day of grade 1. It started out great till it was time to go to school, then we couldn't find shoes and keys. We held it together and we made it on time I would have like a little more time to spend with her this morning at the school but what can you do. I forgot that during summer vacation she kept Eastynn well entertained Eastynn is very bored. I on the other hand have got so much done in such a little amount of time.

Swimming Lessons

So swimming is finished a both girls passed.

Taylor did good, once in awhile she had issues listening. Mostly she had troubles with her goggles. She doesn't like them to suction to her eye then she would get water in her goggles a no win situation. She does really well on her back and is doing a little bit better on her tummy now.


Eastynn well what can I say about Eastynn she can easily do everything she is asked....if Eastynn wants too. She did great her first week, the second week was hard she didn't want to do anything on a couple days. We fought really hard to make her cooperate but she just wouldn't. The instructor said its only cause of the first week that she passed.

Nonetheless she passed.

Swimming Lessons Begin

Today was the first day of swimming lessons.

Eastynn really surprised me, it was her first non parented class and she did amazing. She probably did the best of all the kids and considering her nature I was surprised she even got in the water. She impressed me the entire half hour.

Taylor also started lessons today she struggled a little more than Eastynn but that is to be expected with how much more advanced her class is. She will pull through though she is a determined little girl. She just needs to listen to her teacher....and grandma.....and mom and she will do just fine.

Weekend in Sask

We just got back from a great weekend in Sask.
We camped with the Troberts and the Thompson's. Taylor and Eastynn had a blast.
Taylor had a little birthday so did Justin (one of the Trobert boys).
Also Calvin and Brooklynn's little guy actually came before we left. When Luke was born he came the day after we left. Reid Came on Saturday and he even came down to the lake on Sunday to meet everyone before they left. We got to spend some good quality time with Luke and he wasn't as shy as usual so it was fun.

Taylor's 6th Birthday

I can't believe Taylor is 6.
She woke up in the morning and asked me how many more sleeps till my special day. I said none its today and said Happy birthday baby. She smiled so big.
We got out of bed came down stairs and made pancakes. After breakfast we went to Grandma Mellor's and she gave both girls a nice little dresses. Then Grandma bought us some little ceasers pizza and we came back to the house and ate it and Taylor got her big present which was a pool. All the girls went shopping while dad tried to set up the pool. We bought the rest of Taylor's school supplies and a cover for the pool. When we got home we decided it was in a bad place so all Fabian's work was for nothing. So we moved it all and started setting it up AGAIN. Taylor was being so impatient and I do not blame her at all. So we had supper and got back in the car and went shopping again. Taylor bought some new bathing suits with her gift card from Grandma Huber. Grandma Mellor also bought Taylor a pair of roller blades that convert to ice skates, we also got Eastynn a pair. The girls absolutely love the skates have been skating on the carpet all dad I think good practice for now.
