Sharing Dads Roast Beef Dinner With The Huber's

Today we got to spend a lot of time with Brooklynn and the boys. Sadly the boys are both not feeling well but they were little troopers especially after there naps. The kids all played the girls chased Luke down the hallway, he really liked that.
I made them a roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, the yorkshire pudding weren't as good as they could have been but they don't have a lot of experience with yorkshire pudding so I kinda lucked out. It was pretty good though.
In the morning we head back home. The girls are in desperate need to be on a schedule again. I can't wait till my girls are back on a schedule and the happy little girls that we all know and love. My girls are so tired from all this excitement.

Huber (extended) Family Christmas

This was the first year we went to the Huber Christmas. It was a potluck dinner. It was a lot of fun. Lots of kids for the girls to play with. They enjoyed themselves had a few rough patches through the night but being with that many kids its totally to be expected, especially at this time of year when kids are tired and overwhelmed.
We did a chinese gift exchange Fabian and I ended up with a couple bottles of wine. Woohoo. I will be sure to only have a glass or two instead of a bottle or two.
This Huber supper was usually done before Christmas but I think there are talks of it being done after Christmas now which is cool.

Sledding

On Monday we all went sledding, well Grandma stayed home with Reid.

Taylor for some reason is very scared to go down the hill which is crazy because she use to love going fast.

Fabian and I took turns going down the hill with Eastynn, then she decided she could do it herself. Fabian and I even went down once together.

Calvin and Brooklynn took turns taking Luke down the hill. It was cute you could hear Cal and Brooklynn count backwards "3-2-1" and Luke would yell "BLAST OFF"

The wind was blowing pretty good so we didn't stay long. It was fun though.

Fabian's Birthday/Boxing Day/ Huber Christmas

The morning started of super super slow due to my over consumption of wine on Christmas day. It took us till about 1pm for us to finally get packed and on the road.
We finally arrived at 8pm...9pm Sask time.
We dug right into to the gifts, the girls got lots of clothes and even some really cool new bedding. The night was very laid back just opened presents and visited it was a nice evening and by the time we got her I felt normal again.

Christmas

Christmas was pretty awesome....really how could it not be.
Taylor got up pretty early but we made her lay in our bed till 8am.
We came down stairs and opened presents. Everyone was pretty spoiled as you can see in the pictures.
Fabian got a new Rider Jersey which I think he really likes. He was also eager to make coffee in his brand new coffee maker.
The girls got way to much to try and remember. They love the recordable book that uncle Jason bought for them.

Then it was the Chisholm Christmas which was a blast as always. The big news this year was my cousin Kyle proposed to his girlfriend Annie who fits in the family just great. I am really happy for them.
My girls got spoiled again. And as for myself I had a great time but woke up so sick. NOTE TO SELF-Enjoy the holiday with your family and BACK OFF the wine ;)
I do love Christmas so much though.

Days Leading up to Christmas

The days leading up to Christmas were pretty boring for the girls I am sure. We did last minute running around. We did get to spend a lot of time with uncle Jason so the girls loved that.
Jason, mom, and I also got to spend a lot of time wrapping tons of Christmas presents.
Christmas Eve was pretty busy.
We had roast beef dinner and we had a few people stop by to drop of gifts and made cookies.
The best part of the night was the "Reindeer food". Eastynn was given reindeer food from her school. We went and put some on the sidewalk and then kind of by the door. About a hour or two later Pebbles was barking and Eastynn went to check out why she was barking. And scremed "THEY'RE HERE" I went to the window and there in the front yard was a few deer eating the food. How special to go to bed knowing that the "reindeer" ate the food you left for them.....even if they aren't Santa's reindeer.

Last Day Of School

Tuesday was the last day of school. I couldn't have been happier, being some what sick and not having to get up in the morning and have to rush was wonderful.
Taylor was pretty happy cause it means its close to Christmas. And she got to get treats from school and give her teacher her gift.

Santa at Papa's friends house Don

We got to go see Santa AGAIN at my dad's friend Don's. It has become a family tradition. My dad started it and Don always phones us even though dad is gone now to make sure we see Santa. The girls really love it.

Still Sick

I have had a sinus infection since Nov. 12.
I went to the doctor on the 14th and was given some antibiotics.
I think it was 10 days worth of antibiotics. 10 days later I went back and got 7 days worth of antibiotics and was given tylenol 3 for the pain. That kind of worked for awhile and then on Dec 20. I was given another 10 days worth of antibiotics and more tylenol 3.
Although today (dec 29) was my last day of antibiotics I am really hoping the sinus infection stays away. I was told if it comes back I am going to have to see a specialist.

A lazy day

On the Sunday Fabian and the girls took it easy.
Just recovered from the birthday party, played with new toys.
My mom, Tracy Taylor, and I went to the play the Wizard Of Oz.
My mom and I actually got to spend some quality time together and her and I went out for supper just us. It was so great just to have one on one time.
The play was pretty awesome.
I love theater and want my kids to love it, it is something we will do as a girls day out, unless of course dad wants to come with us as well.

Eastynn's Birthday Party

Eastynn had the best birthday party a 4 year old girl could have.
She had her friends Sam, Jessie, Little Brooklynne, and Willow come over to the house. We had hot dogs and cupcakes, then opened some presents.

After that we went to the play Cinderella it was so much fun. The kids got to participate by booing, hissing, and cheering. At the end the kids went up and danced on stage with the cast. One of the cast members was actually Eastynn's speech therapist. She was so awesome in the play one of the best characters by far.

Then all the girls got there pictures done in the princess carriage. Which was so cute.

Taylor and Eastynn were so excited to get there pictures done with Miss Carolynn from school (Eastynn's speech therapist), Little Brooklynne jumped in too.

All the girls with the exception of Sam who was a little to shy got there pictures done with the fairy godmother and Cinderella.

Surprisingly Eastynn was the one who was eager to get her picture done with as many of the cast as she possibly could. Prince Charming, one of ugly step-sisters, and Buttons (who was basically the narrator of the story).

After the play all the kids went home and Shane, Pam, Maddy, Kenny, and Jackson came over for pizza and more cake, the girls all played it was such a great day.

Taylor's Christmas Concert

Thursday was Taylor's Christmas concert.
It was wonderful and I would love for everyone to see it unfortunately. I have tried downloading the video a few times with no success.
But all you need to know is Taylor looked beautiful and did a wonderful job.
The concert wasn't at the school like it normally was this year it was at the Dream Center so they could accomidate everyone. It was so much better and I think it is what will happen from now on.

Eastynn's Birthday

Wednesday my baby turned 4. Wow where does the time go. We didn't do much at all for her birthday but we did take her class cupcakes which they all seemed to enjoy.
It was also there last day of dance for 2010. It was nice the whole class sang happy birthday to her. It wasn't much of a birthday but it was still pretty special.

Quick Trip To Sask

On Thursday morning we went to Sask for the funeral and prayers.

It is hard to believe all the support Eva had over the weekend, it was amazing.

The funeral and prayers were very nice.

The trip there was amazing my girls were so well behaved. I am hoping trips will be like that in the future. The trip home was scary the roads were pretty awful.

It was nice to have my mom come to Sask with us for once.

Eastynn's Christmas Concert

Tuesday Dec 7 was also Eastynn's Christmas concert.
She did so wonderful I sure was a proud mommy that night.
Her speech teacher asked Eastynn to come see her she took her aside and told her how proud she was. Eastynn has certainly come a very long way in 4 short months. I am so thankful we put her in preschool.
After the concert we went to the class room. Taylor and Eastynn got to decorate gingerbread cookies and play with play dough it was a great day.

Papa Huber

On December 7th we said goodbye to another wonderful man in our lives. Papa Huber is no longer in pain. Although he left us with aching hearts we all know one day we will get to see him again. We love you Papa. Rest In Peace.

For years, the riverbank was where
Your soul felt most at peace
Your heart was most content when there
With the fish and the geese
But then, your spirit came to rest
Where angels chose to roam
And once equipped with ten pound test
You made yourself at home.

The sky became your deep blue sea
The clouds became your shore
And there, for all eternity
You sat with friends galore
Each angel was a fisherman
Who had traded his pole
For golden wings and a game plan
At Heaven’s Fishing Hole.

The tales you told about each catch
Its stature and its girth
Will live in memories unmatched
As days pass here on earth
Until we meet again, one day
Upon God’s golden sand
We’ll picture you, no other way
Than with a pole in hand.

Fishing In Heaven
by ~secrethumorman2

Fishing in Heaven; got a cloud for a boat.
A star for a lure and my wings for a coat.
I'll look ‘til I find me the best fishing hole.
The tail of a comet I shall use for a pole.
Some angel-hair line, and a pearl for some bait.
St. Peter, I'm coming. I hope I'm not late.
My halo will be just the thing for a reel.
Peaceful serenity, that's what I'll feel.
Fishing all day is a right pleasant task.
Fishing in Heaven, what more could I ask.

Swimming

We have been getting lots of swimming in lately.
The girls really love going to the pool. We usually go on Mondays with Zsuzsanna, Sam and Jessie. Last Friday we went with Susan and Willow. I love allowing the girls to have play dates especially when they are being active in the water, its good for them.

Birthday Parties

I guess we are at that age where birthday parties will take up a lot of weekends.
Taylor went to her friend Sam's birthday. It was at the bowling alley there was a lot of kids there. Eastynn was invited to this one as well they had a blast. Taylor bought Sam a movie pass and a activity book for her birthday. The kids were so lucky they got Zhu Zhu pets in their goody bags. It was awesome they now have a total of 5 Zhu Zhu pets and 1 baby Zhu zhu.
Then a couple weeks ago she was invited to her friend Katalena's birthday party and they were nice enough to invite Eastynn as well. Taylor bought Katalena a zhu zhu pet and a baby zhu zhu and a Dr Seuss book. At the party they had some girls that came to the house to paint all the kids finger nails and toe nails. Again a lot of fun.
Then last Saturday she went to Dakota's birthday. This one was at the bowling alley as well. There was only 4 kids at that party so they got to play a lot. Me and the other 2 moms dropped the kids off and hung out for the afternoon with the little ones. That was awesome for us too. Taylor bought Dakota Toy Story 3 Operation.
Hopefully the birthday parties slow down a little before Christmas. I do however have a great party planned for Eastynn this year I can't wait.

Halloween at Mother Teresa

Today was orange and black day at school. They decided to have orange and black day since dressing up eats up to much time and its all saints day.
The last 40 minutes they had a little party, I sent the kids a little Halloween package so they all liked that.
Then tonight there was a school dance and me and the girls had a blast at that.

No School Monday

On Monday the girls had no school but we had a busy day.
Mommy went to work out and since they have a child care room the girls went there and played with there friends, Sam and Jessie.
Then we went grocery shopping and got stuff to make chili and more pumpkins for the pumpkins I do for them every year.
This year I did a Hello Kitty Witch for Taylor and a Hello Kitty Vampire for Eastynn. It took so long this year was 2 hrs per pumpkin this year.
We had chili it was to spicy for Eastynn but Taylor loved it especially the beans. She says "kidding me beans are my favorite." She really means kidney beans.
Later we went swimming with Sam and Jessie again we love our girls days with Zsuzsanna, Sam and Jessie.

Corn Maze

On Saturday we decided to take a spontaneous day trip, since daddy was working we took Grandma.
It was a long 2 hour drive but well worth it. We went to a corn maze just outside Lethbridge. So we got there did the corn maze. Feed some donkeys. The girls played on the playground. Me and the girls went on the hay ride. And just before leaving the girls went on the cow train. It was a great day.
After we went to Subway for lunch and before leaving for the day we stopped at Toys R Us and the girls each got a Zhu Zhu pet.
It was a great day.
