Pool Time Soon

Hopefully soon enough we will be buying a pool for the yard. There is not much for us to do around the house. So for the summer I planned to spend mornings at the park. Afternoons in the house especially when the UV index is at the highest point for the day which I think is between 11-4. Then play time in the backyard, in the pool. I found a very nice one that the girls can actually play in its 10' in diameter and 30" deep should be a good time if we can swing it. Till then the late afternoons and after suppers will consist of bike riding.

Summer....So far so good

Well it is only a few days into summer holidays and its been pretty good.
Yesterday morning the girls and I went for a bike ride and went to the park, Taylor has a new favorite park. Then after supper the girls and daddy went to the park and mommy got to go to dinner theater. The theater was fantastic.

Today we went to the water park for a few hours and heard some thunder so we left we were about 4 houses away from home before the rain started and I think by the time we got inside the rain was done. We had Taylor's buddy Willow come out to the water park. Now the girls are at a play date at Willow's

Taylor is getting so much better at riding her bike I think (I hope) by her 6th birthday the training wheels should come off.

Forgot a Very Important Entry FATHER'S DAY

Father's day oh what a day wasn't as great as Mother's day for many reasons.
1. It wasn't about me. haha Just Kidding
2. Me and Fabian stayed up all night with some friends Taylor gave her daddy his present before we had a snooze in the morning. It was beautiful though. He got to sleep a little while the kids watched tv. Sadly mommy wasn't thinking much the night before and was hurting a little. I did however make daddy a special supper we had breakfast for supper. Was very nice but calm day. I did intend to take the family to the driving range but with all the rain there wasn't much we could do cause of all the flooding. I wouldn't want to take the kids to a high class course at this age.
3. I really really missed my dad this year.

The best part of the day was watching the family talk with Grandma and papa Huber on Skype, we also got to talk to Uncle Calvin, Brooklynn, and little Luke they love that and I know Taylor would talk to them everyday if she could.

I would like to apologize for not doing the blog in so long I hope to keep up from now on.

Bike Ride and Park

Tonight after mom had a very long day with the girls dad decided to take them for a bike ride and to the park so I could catch up on the blog. Eastynn is still a little to young to ride that far on such a busy street that we bought a carrier for the bike this time we bought second hand and it was only $10 apposed to the $100 it retails for in the store. She didn't like it at first but now is okay so I am hoping that we can do a ton of biking over the summer I need to lose some weight.

Eastynn's last soccer game

We had Eastynn's last day of soccer which really didn't involve much soccer. They did a few drills then there was a bbq. The kids were given hot dog, chips, and juice, it cost us $2 for the same thing which was fine by us. Me, Fabian, Grandma Mellor and the girls all had supper. Eastynn got her medal and she was done for the day, it was a very long day with Taylor's special day at school too. We also received her pictures from soccer where she doesn't look happy at all.

Good News

Awhile ago we registered Eastynn for preschool. We decided with her social skills and just how much it cost we would do 2 days a week which is about $130 per month. I could have got a subsidy so depending on how she adapted we would increase the amount of days.
We also had her see someone to see how her speech was coming along and apparently they said she was significantly delayed. So they said she could get some extra help. I phoned yesterday and if I want I can put Eastynn in 5 days a week and she will have someone help her one on one a lot and it will be free. I am super happy about that especially since she is liking children more and more lately. Life is good.

Kindergarten Graduation

Taylor had her graduation it was so sweet. First Miss Fedor gave all the students some little graduation hats, that were adorable. Then she handed them out each an indiviual award, Taylor received the brightest smile award. That made my hear melt. After that they had a slide show, basically had what the kids favorite things in kindergarten were and what they want to do when they grow up and what they will need. Taylor said when she grows up she wants to be a pet doctor and she will need a telescope. PRICELESS. After the presentations the kids did some dances and took some pictures together. After we left we went to DQ there was all 4 of us Huber's, Grandma Mellor, Jessica and her sister Morgan, her mom Lynn and her Grandma Kathy (they drove Taylor to school everyday and we brought Jess home) It was a great last day of school.

Water Park

For Taylor's last day it was strictly a fun day and again the weather cooperated, Thank God. We went to the waterpark at 10:30 and headed back to the school at 1:30. It was such a beautiful day. We had snacks, hot dogs, watermelon and one grandma brought ice cream for the entire class, someone also brought freezies.
The kids chased there teachers and some of the parents with water balloons. It was a beautiful day. I think the day was a little harder on the moms the kids don't quite understand that it over for 2 whole months. The moms I think really bonded and all know if need be we can count on each other.

Puzzle

Taylor has been bugging me for weeks to do a puzzle we found a puzzle while cleaning but it is all autumn tones and 1000 pieces so not a puzzle for a 5 year old. So Eastynn and I went hunting for puzzles and I found a 250 piece of Tinkerbell. She did get frustrated with the 250 piece with me and my mom helping but we got it done. That will be our rainy day activity from now on.

Random post but special events

Me and Eastynn stopped by and had a visit with Lindsay and baby Colin. It was far to short but Eastynn got to hold Colin to cute.
On Monday Taylor had her last ball game that was surprisingly rained out we still went so she could get her medal which was actually a dog tag. She seems to be ok with it but its no medal. It was a okay year she really likes ball but way to many rain outs this year.

T-Ball

Taylor finally lucked out and got to play a game of t-ball. I am so proud of how she plays one of the only kids that actually pays attention. She is always eager to play the position that gets the most action.
Eastynn went to the play ground right as soon as we got there and made a friend that is her own age she usually plays with kids Taylor's age not her own age it makes me very happy to know that next year in pre-school she will be able to play well with others. She even cried when we had to leave the game.

The Park

Park days have been few and far between this year. The weather is very strange it rains for 3 day then is nice then rains then will be nice. Thankfully the nice days fall on weekends mother nature is cruel but she still gives us our weekends.
We went to the park on June 13th it was beautiful. Taylor and I rode our bikes to the park and daddy and Eastynn drove but took her bike too. She still has a hard time steering. The girls had such a blast there. At the park they have this spinner you sit in it and the momentum just keeps spinning you. I had a hard time stopping Taylor on it cause I was laughing so hard. Eastynn is so much better at the park, she has a lot more fun she likes the slides a lot now.
We could hear something at the stampede ground so Taylor and I rode our bike down there and there was chuckwagon races so we phoned dad and told him to bring Eastynn down the kids watched the horses and Fabian and I watched a race or 2.
We went back to the park and then headed home for supper. Not long after we get home Taylor reaches behind her grabs her back and says "oh I think I threw out my back on the bike ride." She is so funny sometimes you just gotta love her.

More About The Cancer Society

Today Fabian went to get a disk from the cancer society. I asked him to take in the bracelets I have been making and they offered to sell them out of their office. I am pumped about that. Anything I can do to make a little money and donate at the same time is what I wanna do. That's the kind of thing that makes me it worth while after dealing with all the awful stuff we have went through.

New Logo

I know this is not about the girls but I can't help but post the logo for the Canadian Cancer Society Shoot For A Cure. My friend Clint Clarkson and I worked together on this I had the ideas and he put it made it work for me. I am certainly blessed to have good friends like Clint that will do something like this for me.
With my logo I am hoping to get a banner made for the shoot as well as the relay, we decided to have our team name for the relay the same as the cancer shoot. I am also going to get dart flights made and t-shirts made too.

Robert Munsch & Last Day Of Spectrum

Sunday we went back down to spectrum. The girls went on some of the bouncers. Then we went to get something to eat. Then to see Robert Munsch he is a fantastic children's author. He told a bunch of his stories changing the names of the children in the story and he would use kids out of the audience. Taylor wasn't chosen (neither was Eastynn) but Taylor was extrememly upset. We were sitting at the back so he couldn't see her with the spot lights, but considering we were at the back we were the first ones out, so we got to be almost first in line for autographs. Eastynn was having a bad day she had a melt down just before we got there and took her the rest of the day to recover.
After the stories we went outside and blew some bubbles and then Taylor colored a t-shirt. Then they got there faces painted. That was our busy and fun weekend.

Baby Colin's Baby Shower and Swimming

Saturday we went to baby Colin's (my cousin Alex and Lindsay's baby). He is so tiny and perfect, he looks a lot like his Uncle Nolan. For some reason I didn't get any photos of him but will see him again soon I hope with the girls and maybe pictures of them holding him.
After the shower we went swimming the girls and I had a blast spent some time in the tot pool, the wave pool and on the slide the pool had to be cleared cause someone got sick thank goodness we were on the slide.
We came home and then went down to spectrum for a few hrs it was a fun day.

Spectrum (Friday)

So we had decent weather on Friday so we went to Spectrum, Medicine Hat's summer festival. In previous years it would cost a fortune this year it was so awesome they had so many jumping things that were free in previous years they were $2 to jump. Face painting was also free. So the kids had an absolute blast. Eastynn didn't want to get her face painted but Taylor was all about it. The had a huge obstcal course that they loved some smaller ones which Eastynn loved Taylor got bored really fast but they also had some yard games like a ring toss and stuff like that. They also had a huge slide which the girls both loved. And the biggest inflatable dart board obviously you don't throw darts but fuzzy balls, Taylor loved that.
