Taylor's First Soccer Game

Today was Taylor's first soccer game. Despite the rain and the little bit of snow and the only 6 degree weather they played. There are 5 girls on her team including her they don't play with a goalie. The girls are Taylor, Makenna, Terri-Lynne, Kali, and Nicole. It was pretty caotic but I think that is to be expected on the first day and the fact that they are 4 year olds. They do 15 minutes of drills, and 2 15 minute halves. It was pretty fun but cold I am looking forward to many more games hopefully they are a little more organized though soon. Eastynn just enjoyed all the open area to run.

We still haven't been doing much. The girls love the mom and dads house we have been here for close to 2 months now. There is more room for them to play no especially since the 4th level is empty and tons of room to play. Also the can go outside more now we play on the driveway lots now with the big air bouncer I bought them awhile ago and soon the pool that grandma bought them a couple years ago.
Last week we did go swimming on Friday the girls really enjoyed the pool. Taylor loves the river they have there she runs through it now she is going to be a good little swimmer soon, I think we will put her in a couple swimming lessons over the summer and a couple in the winter and then she will be done all the preschool lessons (for 6 and under) then the real swimming begins. Eastynn is getting a lot better in the pool too, last week we played ring around the rosy in the pool and me and Taylor would go under the water and after a couple times she would put her mouth and nose under the water but not the eyes yet, that will be soon I am sure. They both are getting good at jumping off the edge of the pool as well.
We also went for a bike ride last week as well, Taylor has a problem she will peddle peddle peddle brake. Its hard if you are behind her you have to be right on it so you don't crash into her. I had Eastynn in the little bike trailer. She didn't seem to like it but she didn't dislike it either.

Funniest Story Ever

Today Taylor came up to me and said, "MOMMY, JULIANNA AND HER MOMMY AND HER DADDY ARE HAVING A BABY IN TWO WEEKS." I said, "Really where are they getting the baby from?" And as excited as ever she said, "WAL-MART." The funniest thing ever, I thought she would say from Julianna's mom never expected that to come out of her mouth. Kid's defiantely say the darndest things. I love it.
This week has been pretty good so far. Me and Eastynn went swimming on Tuesday while Taylor had a play date at Julianna's. Today me and the girls went swimming and we are hoping to go again. The weather has been nice enough to go to the park but I love the pool and its only a couple more weeks before our swim passes are expired so we are going to try and go everyday for the next while.

Easter 2009

Easter started off at 7am, a little later than our Christmas if I do recall correctly. Taylor was in our room saying the Easter bunny had come last night. She is so cute even in the morning. The bunny had hid 12 eggs in the living room and 12 in the family room. Eastynn didn't quite get what was going on but was still happy cause her sister was happy. After they were done I told him the Easter bunny might have left them a present under their bed. Eastynn got a movie and Taylor got a game. They both love their presents.
The girls looked so pretty in there dresses. It was a beautiful day so that got to spend a good portion of it outside playing with Kennedy and Logan. They got to do another Easter egg hunt with Kingston he is getting so big and starting to walk.
That's all for now.

Good Friday....NO NO NO Great Friday

It was a perfect day, so simple but so perfect.

Taylor and I made cookies for papa's birthday in the morning. Then Taylor and Jo made banana muffins. After that Jo and I got to go to the mall and pick up gifts hers to take to England and papa's birthday gift. Then we all went down to Police Point Park I have taken the girls there every year since well before Eastynn was born for sure. They always have baby chicks, pheasants, and bunnies which are fun for a little bit the girls weren't so interested in them this year last year we spent hours with the chicks. We all roasted some hot dogs over a fire it was awesome. Had a little picnic. Then we went and painted Easter Eggs, with wax and everything it was fun being there with my babies and my parents, my husband and brother. It was so nice to have Jo there and Pam, Maddy and Kenny. The more family the better always in my opinion. There was some lady that came by and snapped Taylor's picture. It ended up being in the news paper right underneath the date on papa's birthday, to cool. It's days like this that you can look back and know your are truly blessed in your life, I hope to have countless more days like this.

Fun with The Storch's

When we went to Calgary on Saturday and stayed with Ryan and Lisa. Taylor held baby Calvin she was so good he cried and she never even got excited or scared. The girls had a blast with the puppies Taylor thought they were playing hide and seek and then later they were playing tag. The next day we actually spent the afternoon with almost the entire family Ryan, Lisa, Luke, Nik, Shelby, and Calvin the only one missing was Ryan's daughter Morgan. It was really nice, Lisa made us a very nice dinner. Eastynn actually even held the baby and when he cried she was just as good as Taylor never got to worried or excited. The visit was a little short but nice anyway.

The Kids At The Zoo

The girls had a blast at the zoo this year. I think Taylor is at the perfect age for the zoo. Eastynn got excited a few times, but for the most part she was just happy to be walking around outside with not a lot of restraints. She is quite the doddler not sure where she gets that from. We made it to see all the exotic animals but we didn't make it to the prehistoric park or to the Canadian wildlife but next year or later in the year we will be sure to do the entire zoo. The girls also got a glow in the dark shirt from the zoo they really liked mine so got them one each.

Our Giraffe Pic

Every time we go to the zoo. I always try and get one group photo, they are suppose to be of me, Fabian and the girls, but one year Fabian was in the hospital so Uncle Jason subbed in. One of my favorite parts of the day. And it was Taylor's favorite part she wanted to see the giraffe's first.

Busy Days

Our days have been so busy but we aren't doing anything really. We run papa from one appointment to another and that's about it.
Taylor has a new love, geography. I am trying to embrace it but it is really difficult not much out there geared at children her age. I did find a HUGE floor puzzle that is the map of Canada and is also Dora. So she knows that we all live in Canada, except Jo. She knows that Jason lives in Alberta but not where we live and she knows that Grandma and Papa Huber live in Saskatchewan. Its really a hard concept to explain to a child the difference cities, provinces, and countries. If anyone has any ideas what I can do to embrace this please let me know.
As for little Eastynn, well what can I say she has her ups and she has her downs. She is a pretty funny does little things and things she is so funny, she is going to be trouble I think. She is also talking up a storm. She is getting very good at her numbers she can mumble the numbers all the way up to 10. She also is getting really good at her colors and her animals.
That's all for now.
