Fun Family Day

Today we had a great family day. We went to the library this morning, because downtown was having an Easter egg hunt and it started at the library. Before it started they had a story time at the library. We went to 30 different business in the downtown area 3 blocks north and south and 3 blocks east to west both sides street. A lot of walking though. Taylor got a passport type thing that she had to get stamped at every business we went to she also got a couple of small chocolate Easter eggs. When we hit one of our last stop which was my moms store I fed Eastynn while Fabian took Taylor to get her face painted. Then we went and had some lunch and headed to the esplanade that was the pit stop, where you handed in your pass port and it got put in draw but we won nothing.

What To Say

Well trying to post lately has been odd. It seems weird to post any of the small things the girls are doing. When Fabian is going through such a hard time. Of course were all going through this but its especially hard on Fabian. But I'll try.
Taylor is getting so smart. She is talking up a storm now a days. Yesterday I decided to do her a favor and take a bunch of her toys from outside in the storage room and bring them in and the ones from inside went out. I think she thinks she has all new toys. I also went out and bought her some new lego. I'd like to get her some more but can't seem to find the toddler lego anywhere, they have lots of the big lego and a lot of the little lego but none of the middle size lego.
Even though she is almost 3 I think she's starting the terrible two's now lots of tantrums over nothing so we have been using time out but she doesn't even really care she goes and stands in the corner but won't correct what she had done earlier. Oh well. And as of next Wednesday we are going to try and get her going to bed at 8 it will take awhile but we'll get it done.
Now as for Eastynn just getting her to sleep in her crib would be nice. She has to sleep with me, in her swing or in the van. I'm going to try just for her naps at first then put her in at night. I don't know weather I'm going to try swaddling her or put one of my shirts in the crib with her so she thinks I'm there. Just hope it works soon. My arms and shoulders hurt from her laying on them. Eastynn is also getting big and starting to talk a lot well babble anyway.
I'd also like to thank everyone for keeping us all in their thoughts and prayers it means a lot to us.

Fabian's Appointment

Fabian had his appointment at the cancer clinic today. We seen a doctor named Dr. Trudeau, his accent was very strong and it was hard on concentrate the details. But he seemed pretty positive that we caught it this early. So they did a quick medical history and a quick exam. He felt around for some lumps and found nothing, he also listened to his chest and that was all clear but Fabian told him he had a bit of a cough so they sent him for a chest x-ray. He said that we are going to the Tom Baker cancer clinic in Calgary and when we are there Fabian will meet with a surgical oncologist, have a cat scan to see if it has spread, and maybe some radiation. So we will know what's happening after all of that. And that appointment will be made either by the end of this week or the beginning of next week.

Brooklynne's Birthday Party

Yesterday we went to Brooklynne's birthday party. Brooklynne's mom is my best friend. She was one of my bridemaids And Eastynn's Godmother. Brooklynne turned 2 on the 16th.
Taylor had a lot of fun, although he played by herself just about the whole time. She did play with Brooklynne and Brooklynne's cousin Jordan a little bit. Brooklynne had some dress up clothes and Taylor loved dressing up.
Eastynn also met a bunch of friends. Owen who was born at the beginning of February was one friend, Owen is Brooklynne's other cousin, his parents Mark and Celina play darts as well, Becky and Mark are brother and sister. Jack (another friend of Eastynn) is a month and a day younger than Eastynn, Jack and his family are family friends of Brooklynne's family. And eventually her other friend will be David and Kari's baby, David is Becky's other brother and we also play darts with them.

So Many New Words

Taylor is talking up a storm now she is saying new words everyday. Some words I've been trying to get her to say other I didn't even know she was interested in saying. Today she made Grandpa Mellor's day we went to there house and she said "Hi Papa" instead of the usual hi sy. I also realized she is saying slide now when we go have a bath she asks for the slide on her bath toy although it comes out rye.
And tonight and grandma and grandpa's she found a magnify glass and was calling out "Clue where did you go." absolutely hilarious the way she says clue, I wish I could post audio clips.

Just Some Different News

This past weekend Taylor finished her swimming lessons with dad and passed with flying colors. She also got a little bit of a cold but she is starting to feel better now.
On Friday we went to the pool as a family all 4 of us. I put Eastynn in a little floaty thing, she couldn't sit in it so I kind of laid her in it (her head went on the backrest and her legs went were her chest would have) she fell asleep in the pool it was so cute. I got asked by just about everyone in the pool how old Eastynn was then was promtly told oh my god is she ever tiny, to funny. And we barely seen Fabian and Taylor.
On Saturday I was suppose to play darts with my dad but he forgot, so my mom said she'd babysit so Fabian and I could play together. It was nice we play together in league sometimes but that was our first tournament. We did horrible though, but I'm sure if we keep playing together we'll do better. Most husbands and wives don't play together though cause it seems to cause fights or something.
Today we had a special visitor. Eastynn's Godmother came over today its the first time she got to meet Eastynn. She's had a pretty busy year so far a good one though, that's why it took so long for her to meet Eastynn. She also brought her daughter Brooklynne who just had her second birthday on Friday, so we will all be going to the birthday on Sunday.

Sorry About Not Posting

Sorry I have not posted in awhile I just wanted to let everyone hear the bad news first hand from Brian and Eva, Sharon and Dave or Fabian and I.
On Thursday Fabian went to the doctor to get some results from his recent surgery. And unfortunately the surgery ended up with some bad results the lump they took out of Fabian's foot ended up being cancerous. He has an appointment to see a doctor on the 27th of this month. The cancer is called Epitheloid Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor or (MPNST). The doctor who told Fabian didn't know anything about this so we have been left to just searching on the net. The good news is most people who have had this have a full and successful recovery. So we are stay positive and busy in the mean time, till we know more. And yes we will keep everyone posted.
And sorry about the previous post next to this one it just seems stupid. But like I said I'm going to keep posting, hopefully hearing about the girls will be helpful.

Kind Of A Sad Day For Mommy

Its kind of a sad day for me as the swing that you see in most of Eastynn's pictures decided it just couldn't take anymore. It just sad because one of the first things I have to throw away that both girls used. Taylor had her first solid food in the swing, so many smiles so many good memories. But it doesn't swing any more and the music doesn't work just the mobile works. But on a happier note we will be buying a new one (daddy will be bringing it home after work) and this one is very similar by fisher price but this one is rain forest instead of ocean wonders. I also think it plays more songs and the biggest bonus it plugs in, No more batteries YIPPEE. That will probably be worth it just there. As this one usually last a week or two and we all no how much batteries are. We could have bought this new swing about 4 times over. The old swing also got tons of use I'm sure it has been used almost everyday for 2 and half years straight. Cause Taylor used it, then my best friend Becky's daughter Brooklynne used it, after that my good friend Shauna's son Jacob used it.
But soon there will be lots of new pictures in the new swing.

Definitely Sisters

My mom suggested I take a picture of Eastynn in an outfit that Taylor had her pictures done in. Most definitely are sisters I had to put a different background just so I can tell the difference years from now. Can you tell which is which.

Burning Off Energy

Today was a nice day so I decided to take the girls to the park. In hopes that Taylor will burn off some energy and that I'd burn off some fat. She loves the park and if I take the path its long enough to burn the legs a little bit, but hopefully soon it won't burn so quickly.
Taylor went down the big slide and launched off the bottom so she was done with that I tried to get her to go down again so I could record it but she didn't want to, she stuck with the little one. She loved the swings too. And of course playing in the rocks.
And beside the wind Eastynn loved it too.

Beautiful Day

Today was such a beautiful day I decided to take the girls out for a walk. All in hopes of getting Taylor to bed at a decent time. I packed Eastynn in her Snugli didn't realize how hard that is on the shoulders. We were out for about a hour stopped at two parks. Taylor wanted to go in the swings but I couldn't lift her seeing how Eastynn was already on my chest I'll have to take the stroller next time. Taylor had a lot of fun, even though she fell and bumped her head, a nice little goose egg to go along with the fat lip she got yesterday from tripping over her own feet. When we got home Taylor played out on our little patio.

Birthday Party

On Friday we went to Nathan Collins birthday party. He turned 3. It was fun. Taylor got to have some cake and play with some other kids. I like when she gets a chance to play with other kids, she had fun. It was very nice 3 kids play for a few hours no tears from anyone of them. One of the girls had said that Taylor hurt her and when I asked her how she hurt her she said she hurt her feelings. Kids are so cute. Will post a couple of pictures from the party. Other than that the weekend was pretty uneventful.
Although Eastynn did let out her first laugh on Friday. That was extremely cute.
