Robert Munsch & Last Day Of Spectrum

Sunday we went back down to spectrum. The girls went on some of the bouncers. Then we went to get something to eat. Then to see Robert Munsch he is a fantastic children's author. He told a bunch of his stories changing the names of the children in the story and he would use kids out of the audience. Taylor wasn't chosen (neither was Eastynn) but Taylor was extrememly upset. We were sitting at the back so he couldn't see her with the spot lights, but considering we were at the back we were the first ones out, so we got to be almost first in line for autographs. Eastynn was having a bad day she had a melt down just before we got there and took her the rest of the day to recover.
After the stories we went outside and blew some bubbles and then Taylor colored a t-shirt. Then they got there faces painted. That was our busy and fun weekend.

Baby Colin's Baby Shower and Swimming

Saturday we went to baby Colin's (my cousin Alex and Lindsay's baby). He is so tiny and perfect, he looks a lot like his Uncle Nolan. For some reason I didn't get any photos of him but will see him again soon I hope with the girls and maybe pictures of them holding him.
After the shower we went swimming the girls and I had a blast spent some time in the tot pool, the wave pool and on the slide the pool had to be cleared cause someone got sick thank goodness we were on the slide.
We came home and then went down to spectrum for a few hrs it was a fun day.

Spectrum (Friday)

So we had decent weather on Friday so we went to Spectrum, Medicine Hat's summer festival. In previous years it would cost a fortune this year it was so awesome they had so many jumping things that were free in previous years they were $2 to jump. Face painting was also free. So the kids had an absolute blast. Eastynn didn't want to get her face painted but Taylor was all about it. The had a huge obstcal course that they loved some smaller ones which Eastynn loved Taylor got bored really fast but they also had some yard games like a ring toss and stuff like that. They also had a huge slide which the girls both loved. And the biggest inflatable dart board obviously you don't throw darts but fuzzy balls, Taylor loved that.

Relay For Life

This years Relay For Life was cold and wet. The first year we actually partcipated. Despite the rain most of us enjoyed ourselves. I am really hurting now still 2 days later. Taylor had a blast cause "uncle" Scotty joined us. Eastynn got cold right at the beginning and it was hard to keep her happy the rest of the night but she actually did some laps. Taylor did lots of laps with grandma and Scotty.
It was nice it stopped raining for the luminary service.
But by the morning it actually snowed. The Cancer Society said Cancer doesn't take a break neither does the weather so why should we.
Our team raised over $2200 with 7 people and Jerimy's team raised over $25000 this year pretty darn amazing. Our grand total was $262000.

Calaway

May long weekend we spent in Calgary I was playing darts. The girls stayed at my friend Linda's with Fabian and her son Andrew while we played darts. On the Monday we took Andrew and the girls to Calaway Park. It was a lot of fun. Taylor can go a lot of rides. Eastynn can actually go on quite a few compared to the fair in Medicine Hat. Halfway through the day Uncle Jason came and joined us that was about the same time that Andrew left to go hang out with his sister and nephew. So we had a great day on rides and games and the weather was perfect.

Snaps

This week Taylor worked so hard on learning to snap. She finally got it on Monday or Tuesday. I was so proud of her she can whistle and snap now. But to my surprise on Friday after Pebbles was gone I was consoling Taylor on the couch and Eastynn came down stairs and says look and started snapping, I couldn't believe it she is getting so big and smart. Almost fully potty trained now too not at bed of course but I don't panic if we leave the house that she will have a accident. Going to be nice soon to be able to go places and do things without having to worry about diapers.

Poor Pebbles

On Friday we had people working here and they kept forgetting to close the door and I didn't want Pebbles to get out so I put her in the backyard. They were also working in the backyard though. Fabian went outside at 9 to let her out and I said I actually think she is still outside and she wasn't. So now its Friday night and we can't find Pebbles. At first Taylor thought Grandma was going to be very angry. I explained that Pebbles was her dog and not Grandma's and then the poor little girl was absolutely devistated. Fabian went and drove around to see if he could find her but no luck. Me and the girls went for a drive but not long we didn't know how long she had been missing by then it could have been 6 hours or it could have been 2. In the morning Taylor wanted to go look for her again but we knew are only hope was the spca. Thankfully they had her and we are one big happy family again.

Eastynn's First Soccer Game

Eastynn had her first game yesterday, if you can call it that.
All the kids have their own ball and just do drills with their mom or dad. It was a lot of fun and I think she will really enjoy soccer.

Mothers Day 2010

This mother's day Taylor was so excited about the stuff she had made at school that she woke up super early to give it to me (the night after our dart banquet). She gave me a letter they wrote, she gave Eastynn another craft she had made so Eastynn had something to give to me. Taylor is so thoughtful. Later that morning she brought me a glass of juice and a bowl of corn pops, too cute.
I finally got out of bed had a shower and went to my moms we went out for brunch. Fabian took the girls to McDonalds. Then while we were out for brunch the lodge actually had a petting zoo and pony rides and Fabian took the girls to that. Then Taylor came shopping with me, mom, grandma and the aunties.
Later that night Fabian made me and mom supper it was fantastic.
Sadly after that me and mom went to prayers for my late great aunt Irene. What a beautiful and special lady.

Taylor's First T-Ball Game

Yesterday was Taylor's first t-ball game. It was very cold but not as bad as today snow. I didn't realize how much I missed ball till last night. I am really happy I noticed a huge difference in the way she played ball and the way she played soccer. In soccer if other kids went for the ball she would not. T-ball when the ball is hit she is moving. I am so happy I would love for my baby girl to follow in her momma's footsteps in good time I may even start playing again at the very least coaching.

She has not a bad throw but I am sure it is something I can work on with her.
Her first time up to bat she missed the ball and then hit it down the third base line. She watched the ball before she ran to first, where she was suppose to stop but she kept going and ran right past the girl on second and then ran to third and realized she had to go all the way back to first. SOOOOOO CUTE. She made her way around the bases one by one after that.

Just another little cute thing on the way there she said oh I should have practiced my home runs before we came. Got to love her.

Registration

Yesterday morning Fabian took in Eastynn's registration that I had filled out on the weekend. Considering that kindergarten has went to half days pre-school is going to fill up really fast so I thought we needed to register as early as possible.
She is going to qualify for funding of some sort but not sure how much yet, but any is going to be a big help for us. I am looking forward to her going to school and socializing with other children.
Today we went and registered the girls for swimming. Eastynn is registered in sea turtles and since we couldn't register the girls till after Taylor's birthday she goes into level 2 instead of crocodile which is a pre-school class. Since she has completed so many preschool classes she was able to skip a level, which is great.

Eastynn's Speech Screening

Today Eastynn had her speech screening. I was so proud of her she did great considering her temperment some days she cooperated really well and even got a few questions I didn't expect her to I was very happy for her.
The speech pathologist said that Eastynn has significant speech delays and will be funded by the governement when it comes time to go to preschool in the fall. Hopefully I will get some more info before the fall and maybe be able to work with her before she goes to preschool.

Taylor and Eastynn

Taylor was special helper at school yesterday and she was totally a momma sucky. Although maybe she was just showing off that her mommy was at school. It is so cute to watch them all day but I could never ever deal with 20+ 5 year olds on a day to day basis. Bless those teachers is all I have to say. She took a lady bug to school and man was that a hit everyone loved it. I really wish she wasn't so shy though.
Eastynn has been doing so well with the potty training I am so proud of her. In the last 3 days she has had 2 accidents both later in the evening and both were in the bathroom beside the potty. She sometimes has accidents on the potty like sometimes it doesn't make it in the potty or the potty leaks or something I don't know but very happy.

600th Post WOW

Wow it my 600th post who would have thought I would make 600 post. The post is about potty training imagine that I think a good 50 post are probably about potty training. I am not very good at potty training. Although she has been in panties everyday from the time she gets up till bath time for the last 7 days we have only had 2 really good days. I am hoping today, being one of those good days that it will continue and she will finally be finished with the diapers. YAY!!!!

Papa Mellor's Birthday

Taylor has been asking lots of questions about Papa lately. We all miss him dearly. Yesterday was his birthday. She said well how does he know we are thinking of him. To me balloons and messages came to mind. What better for a birthday as a balloon and what better way to get messages to heaven then by balloons. It was really different experience. I am looking forward to making that a yearly thing for his birthday. I really hope the girls will stay interested. I think it really helped my mom too. It was a pretty good day.

Taylor's Easter Holiday's

Well sadly we didn't do much on Taylor's Easter holiday. We did not much except ride bikes almost everyday. The last few days of holidays was very chilly so just pretty much inside playing. Taylor played a lot of wii. We reorganized the girls room too and they got back some toys hopefully they can keep it clean.
Eastynn got a cold and once again got her sleeping schedule all out of wack but I am hoping she feels better soon so we can fix it. I think though with Taylor back at school she will now get the rest her little body is desiring and will get healthy again.

Easter

Easter Sunday was fun. We got up in the morning. Taylor first of course. She got her Easter basket we waited about an hour and then we woke up Eastynn and she got her Easter basket. Just before lunch time we had a Easter Egg Hunt for the girls. They loved that over a week later they are still having Easter Egg hunt's with each other. We got dressed and went to Pam and Shane's it didn't take long before both girls went to play with Kennedy and then I didn't see them much for the rest of the day.
We had another Easter egg hunt later in the day but this time little Kingston was involved. Him and Eastynn got the same amount of eggs 11 I think and Taylor doubled them.
Taylor was so good at supper she ate everything. Eastynn on the other hand was being a little brat. Finally I started ignoring her then she wanted me. Finally there was room at the table so I moved and went to the table and it took about 5 minutes before she finally started to eat and she surprisingly ate everything on her plate. Was a great day. Although we missed daddy who was visiting his parents.
