Collins' Boys Birthday

On Sunday we all went to the Collins' Birthday party. Nathan turned 5 and Jacob turned 3. Jacob's birthday was in Feb. and Nathan's March. Nathan and Grandma Huber have the same birthday. Happy Belated Birthday Grandma Huber.
The boys had some cool cakes that Cindy Pardy made them, one talented girl.
They also got lots of cool presents Taylor's favorite present they got were the hamsters. She loves all kinds of pets though.
The girls really had a good time with the boys.

Week Off The Computer

My week off the computer was awesome. Of course I missed it I use the computer for everything I do. I in the end had 18 people donate $35 dollars each which is a total of $630 which every penny is going to the Canadian Cancer Society. It was actually easy money. Pretty Boring Week

Not much happened again this week so nothing really to post. However this upcoming week I am sure we will have tons of stuff to report. I am taking an entire week off the computer. I have been told by numerous people that I am addicted to the computer which granted I am, so someone challenged me and said I couldn't stay off for a week. I thought I will stay off the computer but I will get people to donate $5 a day for 7 days and donate the money to the cancer society. I have 11 people who said they would donate to the cause. So I will not be on for the entire week and I will instead have to do other stuff so hopefully a lot to post next Monday and lots of pictures. That's all for now

Summer Sports

I am trying to decide what summer sports if any we should put the girls in.
Taylor can go into U6 soccer which is Monday and Wednesday at 5:30 or 6:45. Taylor would have a coach.
Eastynn can go in U4 soccer which is Wednesday at 5:30 or 6:45 but at a different location. With Eastynn she doesn't have a coach just parent interaction. I think we may wait till she would be in U6 to put her in cause we may not be able to do it all.
But hopefully we will be able to fit in a couple swimming lessons or something. Taylor is going to be a salamander and Eastynn a duck. Should be a pretty fun summer if we can fit it all in.

Not Much To Say

I am really sorry for not updating the blog we haven't done much lately nothing at all really. We went to a birthday party on Monday. Nathan had his 5th birthday and Jacob turned 3 last month but they celebrated his birthday with his big brother. The girls seemed to enjoy that although Eastynn pretty much played by herself the entire time Taylor played with Nathan a little but mainly watched the new hamsters the boys had got for their birthday.

Our Week

This week has been a slow one for the most part. Eastynn and Taylor have had some awful colds lots of sleeping and lots of cuddles which I love.
We have been using skype to keep in contact with Grandma and Grandpa Mellor while he is in the hospital up there. Grandma and Grandpa Huber bought a web cam so we can do that soon with them too.
Grandma and Grandpa Huber came for a short little visit this weekend. I barely seen them at all but Taylor and Eastynn got to spend loads of time with them and that's what the visit was all about Grandma and Grandpa, Taylor and Eastynn. I also had a friend Ryan from Calgary stay here this weekend for a dart tourney, I got to spend more time with him. I played in a singles tourney on Saturday and won it was a lot of fun. Saturday Fabian and I went and had our anniversary dinner early while we had grandma to babysit. Then by the time we got home they went back to Daniel's. Maybe next time I will have more time to visit.
Monday was speech we had to take Eastynn cause no sitters again but that's okay we sit in a little room and watch Taylor.
Today is a dart night and we have our new sitter Logan he is making a little fortune off us but thankfully I know he is saving it for a scooter so I am happy to help out with that. He babysits on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Today was a HUGE day for us we registered Taylor for kindergarten crazy I can't wait till it happens and at the same time I am going to miss her around all the time. She is going to be going Mon-Fri full days.
I think after the fall semester we will think of putting Eastynn in play-school she can go to the same school as Taylor, which will be nice. Not only will they be in the same school it is apparently a ton cheaper than the one Taylor is at now. But we will see what the future holds I guess

My Daddy

As most of you all now know my dad is laid up in a hospital in Calgary. His nagging back pain is way more than any of us could have expected. They were trying to figure out why his back wasn't getting better they did bone scans, they did CAT scans, and then last Wednesday he went in for his MRI and he was having so much trouble moving they sent him to the ER and then later did the MRI and found he had some tumors.
So they tried to get him a bed in Calgary and flew him up there once they found a bed and were able to manage his pain a little better. Now he is in Calgary awaiting test and results.
I need everyone that reads this blog to pray for my dad to get better asap

Provincials

I had a hard decision to make and it took me till Friday at 11:30 to make it and we were leaving at 1. I had to decide weather to go to provincials where I could do nothing for dad or to stay in the Hat or go to Calgary where I could do nothing. I wasn't sure I'd be able to concentrate or anything, but after talking to almost everyone I know including dad I was convinced I should go and give the team a shot.
I played day one and and finsihed 7th I thought okay keep yourself together and you need 2 more days exactly the same. Day 2 surprisingly was even better I finished 4th. I couldn't believe with all that was weighing on my mind that I was doing as well as I was. Day 3 I thought one more day have an average day and your in, and I finished 2nd so overall I finished 3rd on the team. And couldn't be happier. Every dart I threw was for dad and I am happy I made him proud.

Congratulations Ryan and Lisa!

On Friday in amongst all the horrible stuff that is going on in our life. Something amazing happened for one of our closest friends, they had a beautiful baby bob Calvin John Storch. He is absolutely gorgeous I can't wait to met the little guy and give my friends a huge hug. He was born 7lbs 12oz.
I wish I had a picture to post hopefully soon we will see them and take photos with him and the girls.
Funny little thing about the boys in that family they have a Calvin just like Uncle Calvin. A Luke just like cousin Luke and a Nick like me. To weird.

Our Week (without the bad news)

After Eastynn fell and busted up her lip we were good, good till the next day. Tuesday Eastynn was sitting in mommy's chair at the table and fell and she was holding her arm, since Fabian took Eastynn to the ER the night before we were hoping we didn't have to go back. Thank goodness she was able to shake it off quickly. Then in the evening my parents came over for dinner and she was sitting in a folding chair and it folded up on the poor little girl. She had a rough few days. I can't remember now but one day I took Eastynn to the pool for a little play date the second we hit the water she got a ball right in the face. She's a tough little monkey though she barely cried.

Taylor she only had one little accident last week. We bought the girls a new tv for the toy room and the stuff is in the back (the audio video) cords she wanted to play one of her games so twisted the tv and it fell on her foot, she bruised her toe pretty good. Taylor handed out Valentines day cards twice last week and she got a bunch, which are scattered all over the house right now. She loves the holidays that little girl. I love her so much she makes you realize just how special the little things are and she has been taking good care of mommy this week giving me lots of cuddles.

Lots of Little Tid Bits

I guess a few different things have happened over the last little while.

Last week Tuesday night, we were discussing how we always for some reason miss Taylor's little school functions like field trips, the color board, or show and tell. Well as we were discussing this my dad teased he was going to tell her and she must of overheard and said she gets to go to the hospital the next day. When I told her she couldn't cause mommy forgot to hand in the permission slip she was so upset. So Papa told her that he would take her to the hospital the next day and they could go get a donut and hot chocolate. Papa teased her about paying so he told her to bring her money. She took her money and wanted to pay and when papa told her she could keep her money she thought she should give some of it away in the donation box. The lady behind the counter was touched and papa was so pleased that she did such an unselfish thing when she could have bought candy with it she gave it away.

Fabian also took the girls swimming one day. He was going to take them on Sunday but they close at 6 on Sundays now, which is very disappointing.

Friday Fabian went to work but was sent home cause he wasn't feeling well. He had got the cold I had the few days before that.

I went away on Friday for the weekend but apparently they just hung out on the down low for the weekend which is good daddy needed some rest and the girls are starting to get a cold now as well. I was so happy to be home yesterday I couldn't wait to see the girls this morning. I actually went in and said hi to Taylor last night my girls look so beautiful when they are sleeping.

Today was a pretty emotional day. It was Grandma Mellor's birthday and considering its Monday's a speech day. Every time Taylor has speech we get up drive daddy to work and then we go and visit with Grandma till its time to go to her appointment. Today dad and I decided we'd go to his appointment and then to speech. Eastynn was a little sick this morning and quite cuddly she finally started getting comfy enough to walk around and talk and play. Her and Grandma went for a glass of milk. Eastynn and my mom both had a fall Eastynn fell then my mom so my poor mom felt so horrible and it was only an accident and Eastynn only cried for about 2 minutes and then she was good. She has a big ole fat lip we were a little worried so took her in to the er and she is good. But poor grandma had a rough day and we promise we all still love her all the bags of sugar in the world. Papa came to speech today and got to see what she does every week and he was as proud of her as I usually am.

Tomorrow is a big day for Taylor she get's to do the Valentines day stuff at school and Eastynn and I have a little play date we are going swimming with little Taylor. Then they have Grandma babysit tomorrow we will do the birthday thing with her tomorrow it will be a much better tomorrow.

Their Entertainment Room

We finally got a tv for $20 a good deal for the girls new entertainment room.
The room is cute it has the desk we bought and if Taylor can manage to keep this room clean she will earn her craft stuff that I have put away in a closet but so far that's a no go.
They also have their Dora plush chairs in there. They also have a cute little princess with a little drawer which has Taylor's leap frog computer and games. They have a little spider man couch that folds out into a little bed. And the tv is sitting on a little dresser/night table in one drawer has Taylor's v-tech motion and all the games and the other drawer has Eastynn's v-tech smile baby.
We are so happy to have our tv back.

The Girls New Room

We finally got the girls bed. And all in all it was a good night. Taylor was a little scared to get on the top bed but once she was there she was good. Eastynn loved it I thought it would be perfect but Fabian did a little running around and opening and closing the door was taking a toll on her she had a little crying spell but we she fell asleep around 8:45 which is normal for her. I am hoping that it continues like this I am really happy with how it has all come together.
Once we have a tv for the toy room I will take pictures of the set up in there.

New Changes Coming Up

I was on face book garage sale the other day. I found a bunk bed for $400 I talked the girl down to $350. The bunk is really quite awesome from the picture I have of it. We are going to check it out on Saturday.
It is not the exact bed I wanted but the one I is over $1600 without mattresses so obviously this one is a much better deal. When I first decided the girls would get a bunk bed this is the style I wanted, just over the last year or so I changed my mind on the type so I guess its a good thing. It has a desk and 3 drawers and some shelving.
It obviously is going to take up a lot of room in the girls bedroom but that's all right, our room has less room then the girls at the moment.
Right now the girls room has 2 toddler beds, a desk, a little dresser with 2 drawers, and a little princess couch all of that will taken out of there room. The beds we will try and sell. The rest will go in what is now there toy room.
The toy room is going to be converted into a entertainment room. I will put her desk in there with the little white dresser which I will put a TV on. Then they can have there vtech motion, v smile baby, the leap frog computer and a DVD player. It should be cute with there little princess couch there 2 little plush Dora chairs and there little spider man fold out couch.
Now there bedroom will have to take most of the stuff that is now in the playroom. So along the wall with the window it will have the dresser we got from Kennedy that we use for toy storage. Also there little Dora toy box will go in there room I am not sure where it will end up yet though. Also we got the girls letters to there name for Christmas last year that we haven't put up yet that we are going to put up with some pictures of the girls as well. I will take some pictures when its all said and done.
I am hoping putting the the toys in the girls room will help contain some of the mess to there room only. Should be some nice changes for everyone.

Awesome Morning

Today it was something so simple that made me so happy. I got up once Taylor went to school and laid on the couch and from 8:30-10:30 Eastynn laid down with me. It was awesome for a couple reasons cause first of all she is 2 to get a child to sit never mind laying down is a miracle secondly anyone who knows Eastynn well knows that she is a kid that is just well her she doesn't like cuddles at all. I loved it except the little elbows in the ribs and stuff but I would take it again in a second to have another day like that. So precious for me.
Taylor will lay down and cuddle with me everyday I so enjoy my time with her don't get me wrong but with Taylor it happens probably 3 times a week. With Eastynn well apparently once in 2 years.

Speech

Today we went to Taylor's speech again as we do every Monday and will continue to till she has got all her sounds down pat I guess. Today unlike every other Monday I had to take Eastynn with it was good though I sat in the other room and was able to see Taylor through that 2 way mirror and hear her through speakers in the room we were in. I think she did great as usual and its not quite as emotional for me in the other room.
Taylor is still working on her "s" sounds and now its at the beginning and in the middle of the words. She learned little miss muffet today.

Swimming With Papa

On Friday we went swimming with Papa at the pool. Papa's back has been bugging him so he wanted to hit the hot tub at the pool. He went in the big pool with Taylor for a little bit so she could show him all the tricks she does. She is doing so much better being very content in a life jacket now and actually jumping in the pool not holding our fingers and lowering herself in the pool like she use to.



Eastynn she would be absolutely content to just stay in the toddler pool and play with the toys and do what she does. She is so cute in the pool she crouches down so the pool is about chest deep on her and then she paddles her hands as if she was swimming it cracks me up. You can kind of see her doing that in one of the photos with Taylor.



Other than that not much has been happening Eastynn I think is teething she has been having so difficult days to say the least but occasionally her sense of humor comes out. Like the other day she was cranky so I sat her on the counter while I was making dinner and she said and I quote "one two three go to our room." I was absolutely shocked but all I could do was laugh at her. I usually tell the girls to go to there room if they are crying I try not to use there room as punishment one there is to many toys in there and two I don't want them to dislike there room for sleeping I have enough trouble with Lil E in that department already.

Speech And Such

Not much has been going on.

Friday I took the girls bowling with Becky and Brooklynne. It was fun even though Brooklynne was sick. After that we came home and ordered some chinese food and just hung out. Becky and I decided we need to get together a couple times a month so the girls can play. Hopefully next time everyone will be feeling fantastic.

Sunday Taylor and I went shopping with Grandma and Grandpa Mellor we got a ton of stuff I sure hope we can use all the food but we are really trying to eat and be healthier. More fruit and those handy 100 calorie snacks. 3 meals a day and 3 snacks in between.

Today Taylor had her speech and she is doing so well. It's pretty funny she will show her a card lets say a snowman Taylor will say snowman I want to build a snowman. Then stairs and she says Grandma and Grandpa have stairs. It cracks me up so much every card has a story. The teacher tries to humor her by saying oh yeah or really but just wants to move along. Taylor so loves the games there I think we need to play one game a night I think she would like that.

Sleep....Not So Much

I do not know what is happening but the last few nights Eastynn has been having EXTREME troubles in the sleep department. We always put her down at 1pm in the afternoon and she usually looks forward to this nap running and jumping right up into her bed and sleeping till about 4:00, 4:30 at the latest. Bed time is usually a little more of a struggle we put her down at 8:00 and she usually talks for awhile till about 8:45. Now its full out crying and sometimes taking off her clothes and diaper. So she obviously gets to come out of her room and then when we put her back she does the same thing. She isn't falling asleep until 12:30 at the earliest last night was after 2 and she ended up sleeping with us so by this morning there was 4 people in our bed. I want my bed back. Hopefully we get sorted out asap.
Should I cut her nap back?
Should I cut her nap out?
Any other ideas?

Hearing Test

A little while ago I got the girls speech assessed and they figured it would be a good to have there hearing tested. Today was the day we had there hearing tested. The man who did the girls tests was so good with the girls it was really awesome. They did a couple tests that I had no idea what they were. I guess one was to check if the girls had fluid behind there ear drum. The second test not sure what that was but they both passed. Then he had a little camera and looked in there ears which was so neat I always wondered what it looked like.
Then they took Taylor in the sound proof both and showed her a bunch of pictures then put some headphones on her and then from another room he asked her to point to the pictures she did awesome then he did the tones and she had to raise her hand every time she heard one and that she did so awesome there. I was really proud of her. They said her hearing is great if anything to good as in sounds that would be normal to anyone else could be loud to her and loud noises to us are extremely loud to her, which I already knew from when we went to the air show in the summer.
When Eastynn went into the room she didn't wear the headphones. In the room they had 3 boxes with a toy and a light in it on the wall, one in front and one to the left and one to the right. He'd make a sound through the speaker and when she'd turn her head in the direction the sound was coming from the light would come on and the little toy would play the drums (it was cute). Then the one in front would go off to re direct her attention. Then another sound would happen and when she looked the lights would go on and the toy would play the drum. It was so interesting I really thought that was cool.
Now they have no excuses not to listen to me although the guy said they can't do much about them being mommy deaf. Oh well.

Taylor Has Mastered The F sound (in more than one way)

Taylor had speech on Monday. She really does enjoy her speech sessions. I think because it is so one on one and she gets all the attention for the entire time she is there. She also gets to play one game every week. She did good yesterday although I noticed the teacher was starting to write more and get her to talk more so I think we are going to start working on other stuff now. She is got the F sound down pat so much that she has even started using "the F word". Yikes. Oh well hopefully with the 4 time outs in 2 days she will figure it out.
So she has moved to the S sound for next week.

A Wii Bit Of Pain For A Whole Lot Of Fun

On Saturday we went to my friend Becky's she was having a Wii Party. It was great cause the girls got to go and it was just the Huber's and Becky, Brooklynne and Becky's brother Mark. Everyone had a blast from our family at least.
We got there and watched the hockey game Canada won woohoo. Then I went through the tutorial on the wii and then Fabian went through it.
We finally started playing started of with some bowling I won woohoo again. The we did boxing. Fabian and Mark went first, Mark won. Then Becky and I went, Becky won. Then Fabian and I went, Fabian won. Then Fabian and Becky went, Becky won. I didn't want to embarrass myself anymore so I didn't play against Mark. Then we played golf I think Mark beat everyone at this AGAIN. We played one more game of bowling and I am not sure who won it was a good game though every one was withing a few pins of each other I think it was Becky though. Then we played some Guitar Hero I was clearly the worst player on that one oh well. Fabian and Beck were pretty good.
The girls had so much fun they passed out around 11pm very late. At least the older girls slept our little Eastynn was just giving er right till the bitter end which was 2:30am. I couldn't believe it I asked what time it was and it was like 1:30am I didn't even think it was 11:00pm yet.

Tara and Taylor & New Years

On Christmas Eve Taylor and I went and picked up Tara. We went and bought Taylor some ice skates and Taylor and Tara went skating. Taylor loved it and Tara was very paitent with Taylor she is getting there I guess though once she goes back to school I will have to take Taylor skating. YIKES.
Today Taylor and I went and picked up Tara again and we went sledding we went down to Kin Coulee once we got there Tara and Taylor walked all the way to the top I watched some people come down as was so scared the hill is so fast it is scary. So they went down and Tara thankfully kept her feet down in order to slow the sled down. I decided it was not safe enough so we went to the golf course and went sledding there and we had a blast. Its funny how you forget how fun that is I had such a great time a good way to start off the new year. I can't wait to go again.

We didn't do much for New Years Eve. We went to Grandma Chisholm's and ate and ate and ate. I ate the good fatty food the girls ate the fruit. We watched the hockey game and visited. We came home at about 10:40 and were in bed shortly after 12:00 we did watch tv for awhile in bed though.

The Sleigh Ride and The Christmas Lights

On the morning of the 28th we went for a sleigh ride that Grandma and Grandpa Huber had set up. It was Grandma's best friend Lois' family that did this for us it was fantastic. Lois came as well she is always a lot of fun.
Phillip was the guy who took us on the sleigh and the horses were Molly and Libby. They also had a crazy dog named Digger the girls really seemed to enjoy it. We would go a little ways and let the horses have a little break and then go a little more and stop again. We had some hot chocolate one of Taylor's new favorite drinks. The girls also had some thin bread sandwiches which both girls really enjoyed them. We made our way back to the Phillip and Sheila's house we had some tea and some cookies. The girls ran off some energy in there house and then we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's house for awhile before we headed to Bredenbury to see the lights they have the whole little town is decorated it is very cool. Taylor was in the truck with Grandma and Grandpa Huber so I never got to see her expressions but they said she loved it. Eastynn couldn't be bothered but that's okay mom loved it.
Then we went out to supper with Grandma and Grandpa Huber, Uncle Daniel and Linda, Calvin, Brooklynn and Luke. Uncle Pat and Aunt Janet and there kids Nathan, Devin, and Loran. Taylor I think may have had a little crush on Devin and may have been a little scared of Nathan. The rest of the table was to far for me to see.
The day of the 29th we just hung out and did nothing which is something after all the previous activities I was so looking forward to.
The 30th was the day we came home which was good and sad the girls really love hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and its usually a break for me although this time we did a lot in the few days we were there. One of the cutest things that came out of Taylor's mouth was "when you have been away for a long long time and you come home you have to say ahhhh home sweet home." It was hilarious but true.

Christmas (boxing day) Fabian's Birthday in Sask

We came to Sask on boxing day I was so exhausted I slept pretty much from Medicine Hat to Regina but felt great after wards. I think both the girls had little cat naps and that was about it. We stopped in Swift for lunch and let the girls play a little and then kept on trucking. We arrived at Grandma and Grandpa's at around 6:00. Had some supper and opened some presents. The girls got spoiled as usual. They had a bath with there new swimming dolls and shortly after that the girls went to bed.
Today we took family pictures with everyone Grandma and Grandpa Huber, Daniel and Linda, Calvin, Brooklynn, and Luke, Fabian, myself, Taylor, and Eastynn. The little ones were a little grumpy at time but considering I think it turned out fantastic.
After pictures Cal, Fabian, Grandma, me and the girls all got suited up and went outside and played a little. Then me and the girls hopped in the sled and were towed around on the ski-doo by uncle Calvin (a 2 year tradition so far) Fabian came along on the quad and snapped some photos. It was a good time. Then we cam home and relaxed and the girls had another bath with there swimming dolls and played some and it was off to bed.

Christmas With The Mellor's & Chisholm's

On Christmas Eve we went to Grandma and Grandpa Mellor's house. Taylor helped Grandma get ready for Christmas day just doing little things here and there. Then we made some Christmas cookies for Santa. Then the girls got to open some gifts for grandma she got the girls each a pair of jammies and a new blanket, Eastynn got a pooh blankie and Taylor got a Hannah Montana sleeping bag. Then the girls went to bed. We all took the presents down stairs so we'd have a bigger place to open them and so Santa would know where to put all the presents he brought.
Taylor woke up at 4am but didn't wake mommy or daddy she woke grandma and told her to come quick cause Santa ate all the cookies and took all the presents. She didn't realize that we had moved them all downstairs and that Santa left his downstairs as well.
Finally the rest of us got up to open presents around 7am. Eastynn got through one and that was enough for her she just wanted to play with that one and that was it. Taylor knows the routine she opened all her presents and then opened Eastynn's presents and then played. We had a little breakfast and just hung out until it was time to go to the Chisholm Christmas.
Once at Velvets we all socialized played a little darts. Taylor and Eastynn played with Kenny all day long. The girls opened there gifts and got spoiled. We had supper and the girls played some more and then we went home to pack for Sask and didn't get to sleep till 2am. That's all for now.
